HORRIFIC! I went to Gold Coast Collision in Santa Maria for some simple body work on our Ford Fusion. When they called to say it was ready it was not. I had to point out they only fixed the scratches and not the dents (scratches and dents were in seperate locations on right rear). Same thing happened again. I went in and nothing had been done. Then I get a call saying they have driven my car across town to their other shop. Whe they called to say it was ready .... there was a large new dent and they chipped paint off of the trunk!? When I told them this he stated they will have to keep it and fix it. I got a call two days later saying it was ready. They lied to get me there. Nothing had been done! Furthermore he said they were not going to fix it. He said they already spent "enough" time on my car and besides that might have been there when we dropped it off. I pointed out that he did a walk-around when I first brought it in and he made no such notes on the written damage areas and estimate. He got beligerent! He grabbed awrench and raised it then started yelling at myself and my wife. Saying get out of here! We left. I called the Santa Maria police and they were WORTHLESS too! Said they wouldn't even file my report. They people at Gold Coast Collision are the devils spawn!!! read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I had to because of my insurance it was the only place close to me and unfortunately both the places that popped up in Santa Maria that accepted my insurance was run by this sleeze ball Emilio. I left my car and was told it would only take 3-5 days to repair and it took 6 weeks and only because i was pushing for the work to be done. They blamed it on my insurance but my insurance said it was always them I was waiting on. He quoted me an amount to fix my bumper I agreed to said amount than once the work was all done he added $100 dollars to the quote and blamed it on me for apparently not hearing him correctly over the phone which was not true. He also said I only could pay in cash because apparently their card reader was broken sounded more like he didn't want anything to do with the taxes. Very unprofessional location. I recommend driving a couple more hours to a different place that can take your insurance. I would have if I had looked at all these reviews before jumping the gun and going to him. read more

I own a 2019 RAM that I purchased from Santa Maria Jeep Dodge Ram which is right next to Gold Coast Collision. The truck is all black except for the front skid plate which is silver. I didn't like the look and worked with Sandy Salazar to get a quote for the job. I was pleased with the price that they offered and set up the job. The team at Gold Coast worked with the team at Santa Maria JDR to hand the truck off back and forth so that I could also have a window repaired the same day. They had my car for 2 months and the workmanship and customer service was deplorable ! There was overspray on my back passenger door jam, my low tire pressure sensors were triggered and not fixed, inside the front fender was a replacement part that was cut in half for some unknown reason, and my driver door mirror was hanging by a thread. They pushed me to sign off the car ASAP with my insurance company ( so Progressive would issue the $8,000 check to Gold Coast Collision ) They said it would be ready the following day. The next morning ( after signing off my car ) they called and said they found more damage. They said the " knuckle" was bad and it would cost me $200 out of pocket because l had signed off the car. It's common to find more damage after an estimate but once the car is signed off there's nothing that l could do. They were not going to give me my car until I paid the $200. I was given a loaner car and I drove it for 2 months come to find out it was the manager's personal car. ( Or so they said ) The owner called me on a Saturday completely freaking out demanding that I give him the car back right then he left messages on my phone that were hysterical I really think the guy was nuts ! I called him back and had to tell him to calm down several times !! Everything from beginning to end dealing with this company was a nightmare I don't know how they stay in business! I would not recommend this body shop to anybody I hope this stops at least one person from taking their car there. This was a horrible experience for me. read more

This is the worst auto shop I have ever had to deal with!? First of all my 2013 Nissan Altima was in accident and the frame was bent. According to Leslie the shop manager I guess tried telling me that they had done it but she lied they had not done it! When my husband had to basically threaten a lawsuit in order for them to finally do the analysis! After completion of the analysis we asked for a copy of the results and discovered that there machine was not up to date on their soft wear!!!! So her telling us that my car was not a total loss that it had very minimal frame damage was a lie also how can they give an accurate analysis if your machine is not up to date with your license and soft wear that it requires to give a correct analysis? Leslie once again lied to my husband when confronted about the machine she said " oh! It's our printer is not working properly, that's all it's no big deal just a minor glitch!!!! Well I think it is a big deal that my car has frame damage and I'm not at all comfortable with thinking my family and I are going to be safe in it! Frame damage is frame damage! And this makes my car absolutely worthless! It's apparent that she is more concerned about making $20,000.00 fixing my car, than the safety of my family! I'm just thankful my husband and our attourney are more knowledgeable about cars than I am and knew what to look for and ask for, or I could be driving my family around in a death trap!!!! I would definitely say to stay far away from this joke of a repair shop, unless you actually like to be Dennie's and lied to and drive around your family in a death trap!!!! I brought my Jeep here for some body work. I was able to get a free estimate the same day. The staff worked with me to get what I wanted, since I was paying out of pocket. When I brought the Jeep in a month later to do the work, the staff remembered me and knew exactly what I needed done. They told me it would be done in 3 days, but it was actually done in two days. They did a great job, just how I wanted it for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them. read more

I brought my car in on a Monday. They told me they would keep me updated with the progress of the parts coming in, repairs, etc. Never ONCE received a call updating them. I tried coming in on a Saturday to pick up the car and their entire office shut down. I could not make an appointment to come get the car. I tried calling them on the Friday before to make an appointment to come get the car and no one answered.They never told me no one would be in the office. I also told them I needed to pick up the car on the weekend because it's a five hour drive from where I live. I am overall very very disappointed with their customer service. Went to this auto body shop today to get an estimate to replace the windshield wiper knob on the inside of my boyfriend's car b/c it came loose & no longer worked to turn on the wipers. The owner looked at my car (Saturn) which they no longer make so he said he'd have to order a special part. Plus, charge for labor was $90 an hr. I asked him how long it would take him to put it in ( I was thinking about an hr) but he replied approximately 3 hrs. His total estimate was $500. He also stated that he would be the cheapest I would find in town. I could not believe his estimate for a simple knob for a windshield wiper! I walked out & said I was going to go get some more estimates. I ended up going to GM/Chevy Home Motors off of Main St. The service gentleman that helped me (Jose) had helped me before with my Chevy not to long ago greeted me with a smile. He looked at the Saturn & told me to wait about 10 min so he could have his Saturn mechanic take a look at it. When Jose came into the waiting room, he came in with a smirk on his face. I knew he had good news for me. They had the part which cost $49 & they could replace it then & there within one hr. My total cost was $138 for parts & labor. This goes to show you to shop around & get estimates. I would never recommend Gold Coast to anyone. I feel they were obviously trying to rip me off. They are a company in it for the money & not at all for their customers. read more

I took my vehicle to get repaired at this location about three weeks ago. As of today's date they still do not have the vehicle ready. I call them every other day to check on the repairs and I always get different answers as far as what work is being done and the estimate time of the repair. As days go on they extend the date more and more giving me excuses as to the reason why its taking them longer to repair my vehicle. Honestly in my opinion it is the worst repair place I have been to and will not recommend it to anyone. I will never take my vehicle to get repaired at this location. I feel like the customer doesn't come first but the benefit $$ they are getting for the actual repair. I at least hope that when they are done with the repairs that my vehicle is ok. read more

I was sent to Gold Coast as part of an insurance repair and after reading a few reviews, I was a little concerned. Of the two Gold Coast locations, I was sent to the facility on South Broadway. My repairs were relatively simple so this review will be more about the service and attention I received over the four days my car was in the shop. From the moment I arrived, the customer service at Gold Coast was simply outstanding. I was immediately greeted and checked in. All aspects of the service were gone over as they checked my car for the damage of the insurance issue and then any other damage I may wish to address. My rental car was there and the representative from the rental agency arrived quickly to check me into that vehicle. The entire time to check in, review my work, and provide me with the rental was twenty minutes. Over the four days of service, I was sent daily text messages about the status of my repair including a description of what phase the job was in. I really felt I knew exactly where we were in the process at all times. I picked up my car two days earlier than the original estimated date and it looked great, no evidence that there was ever any damage. The check out time when I picked up my car was fifteen minutes. From the time first walked in to the time I left with my repaired vehicle, I was greeted with polite and thorough customer service by attentive and very knowledgeable staff. The best part, my car looks as good as new! I would go back to Gold Coast on South Broadway! read more
