New patient, and last at this office. My appointment was at 9:00am for a cleaning and first thing completed were X-rays. Completed by 9:30am I waited for an hour (10:30am) in my fully reclined chair for them to start my cleaning which never happened. One of the employees only came in to give me a price for the deep cleaning procedure which I did not have time for as she said it would take approximately an hour. I rescheduled my appointment for the deep cleaning for a later date. After leaving, I called and was transferred THREE TIMES because the first call wasn't answered, the second call was ignored, and finally the third call someone picked up. I wanted to confirm that the deep cleaning would completed in one session but the employee said it would need to be completed in two sessions otherwise my insurance would not pay for it. I ended up canceling my appointment because I was able to schedule the deep cleaning at another office that would accomplish it in one session. If you have an entire day with nothing to do and don't mind waiting in a chair for over an hour then be my guest and enjoy waiting lol I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

When asked if I could get my cleaning, they said the hygienist already had 3 people ahead of me, and it would be longer, or I could come back. The dentist I had was so snooty and basically laughed at my dental routine. I decided to go back to my old dentist instead. I would rather spend 90 mins driving to and from my old dentist than going to these people who made me feel bad, wanted to charge me for things that I didn't need done, and I couldn't even get a cleaning, only got x-rays done. They were excellent in an emergency appointment! Although their primary concern seems to be creating billable opportunities. They took 2 sets of x-rays, different methods, insurance allows for 1. They extracted an infected broken tooth, but then did bone grafting at the extraction site without prior consultation regarding the bone grafting which insurance DID NOT COVER! Set a follow-up appointment. Called to advise the dentist that I did not want any more bone grafting. The dentist then refused further treatment! If I weren't 70 and were considering implants, I would understand and agree to bone grafting. Are there any Dentists with common sense anymore? Cannot recommend! read more

Don't recommend. Went in for a check up my first time after moving and regular dental care. They listed a ton of work they wanted me to get and had me apply for 3-4 different kinds of credit. I ended up not proceeding with any work here but they still processed it and I was in collections with the agencies. I had to call them back and ask them why they would charge someone who hasn't even had work done and they tried blaming me. What a joke. Giving them two stars vs 1 because manager is nice. read more

Came in as a first time patient for a 10:00am appointment. Arrived around 9:50 and had already filled out all paperwork online prior to arriving. The receptionist was nice and told me it'll just be "a few minutes". I sat and waited for over an hour, and after 11:00 I asked if we were still expecting to be seen and she said it'll be a while longer because they only have one assistant. I understand it's a Saturday, but why have me schedule an appointment for 10:00 if someone else is already being treated at that time!? Wasted over an hour of my time and was not treated. After all of that, I was told they couldn't do my cleaning because the oral hygienist had already left and that I needed to reschedule. If the hygienist wasn't available, this should have been communicated earlier instead of making patients wait for hours. Completely defeats the purpose of having an appointment. read more

I've never filed an official grievance form against any provider before, but Gold Coast Dental left me no choice. They performed both a panoramic X-ray and standard X-rays without my knowledge or consent, seriously what's the point of doing both if not to milk people for money?? At no point did they inform me or ask for approval, they just did it. This is deceptive and unethical. No provider should be able to operate in our community if they can't respect basic patient rights and informed consent. I'm currently in the grievance process and I'm happy to update with the results so everyone can know how this place operates but for now read the bad reviews, stay away and don't get scammed. read more

Idk if the corporation is the same, but this company is such a scam. I went in asking for a cleaning and chip fill, and ended getting quoted $6500 for things I don't even need. The dentist/technician did their job with the Xrays, however the woman in charge of billing tried forcing me into financing. When I asked what the quote would like after the removal, she still ran a credit check and offered financing payment plans. Finally after being adamant she requoted me $1400 for a chip fill and cleaning. When I told her I need a cosign and can't afford that ridiculous amount she dropped it to $700. I still refused and got quoted $250 somewhere else, which is still ridiculous. 1. Don't get scammed into unneeded services, 2. Don't get scammed into paying for anytime type of financing. Have been to this office three times now. The staff are very professional, quick with service and take good care of you. The office manager Hannah is great as well as Joe. They explain things well and offer many different types of services to fit your needs and budget. The dental assistant Gio is an expert at his job and it shows in the compassion he shows to his patients by anticipating every need. You can tell that he is an integral part of the team. My husband was assisted by Bianca and he expressed the same commentary on her skill level and care for her patients. Dr. Kathy exhibits great expertise and skill level in all of the procedures performed for both myself and my husband. I'd seen the YL Gold Coast office near my home and decided to give them a try. *Best decision EVER.* This review is specific to my experience in Fullerton, yesterday. (YL office was done previously) Without going in to details you don't want to hear, I needed a root canal and was referred to the Endo in the Fullerton office to see Dr. Plaitano. When I got there, I was greeted right away by the wonderful staff. Becky and the other gals were so nice and accommodating. (BTW, the office had the most adorable & cool Halloween decor throughout the entire office) The assistant Julio called me back and was just as amazing as Becky and the front office gals. Julio was patient, professional and empathetic to my situation. When Dr. Plaitano saw me, he confirmed that I needed a root canal and knew how important it was to get it done the same day. Despite how busy they were, he and the staff made it possible to be seen later that afternoon. Dr. Plaitano was amazing. He made the process as gentle and pleasurable as it could be. I was so nervous and anticipating so much pain. I felt absolutely nothing and they made sure I was comfortable during my entire visit. Gold Coast Dental in Fullerton is by far a one in million practice. There are enough space list all the kind words I have to say about this place. But I am going to try anyway. I went in for a severe infection that required a wisdom tooth extraction and an adjacent tooth to be extracted. I called to make an appointment after 5 pm the day before the 4th of July to see if I could be seen right away. To my surprise and pleasure, they didn't just book me on the 4th of July. They booked me in as the first appointment. The experience was already off to an amazing start. And it was only going to get better. I arrive to what I can only describe as a beautiful futuristic office. I was greeted by my new best friend Viri, who has been more than a professional. She is a priceless asset to the practice. She has been so helpful, considerate, and caring throughout this entire process. My dental assistant was also an absolute gem. From x-rays to assisting with my treatment, he never waivered. I saw Dr. Tehrani, who saw me right away. That's right. No waiting. At all. He gave me a very clear plan of what my plan was going to entails. I was given antibiotics and Ibuprofen and I was ready to enjoy the holiday weekend. But I hit a snag. The pain and swelling the following day was worse and more intense. This is when I was introduced to the hero of this story Dr. Delaie. Here's where it gets better. I called on a Saturday afternoon, the day after 4th of July to request a possible stronger pain medication. Instead I was given a new appointment and Dr. Delaie came in with a whole new game plan. He did a full assessment of my problem and took immediate action. He saw there was a huge abcess that was causing the intense pain and decided to drain it immediately. He instructed me to complete my antibiotics. After this visit, I knew I found my dentist. I requested him to complete my upcoming procedure and future treatments. But the story is not done. I was instructed by my employer to get a work note to so I could take time off work to clear my infection. I'm sure we've all had horrible experiences try to get one of those from an office but not here. I walked into the office to request one and who was at the front desk to greet me? That's right. My new best friend Viri. She provided it for me immediately. Again no waiting. She is worth her weight in gold. I 1000% recommend this office to everyone I know. You won't be sorry. read more
