I swapped to Gold Coast Dental and have been super happy since the swap! The front desk staff goes the extra mile to ensure the guests are greeted, taken care of, and have their preference. Everyone is introduced to you and that will be working on your team. They're willing to answer all questions and really describe the procedure/process /future healthcare that they plan for you to give you a say, but also explain the why behind the treatment. My current Dental team has helped me. Helped me replace a infected crown from a different dentist location, Help solve a Periodontitis flare up due from previous dentist (not this chain, Tustin family Dental) improper cleaning, and Gold Coast helps me understand and take preventative measures. They explained to me that my mouth is changing once again because of my age which means an unfortunate decrease in healthy gums and showed me that because my mouth has changed, how to properly clean it. I've been sooooo happy and my teeth and gums have been so healthy since this change that I'm even convincing my husband to book here for his much needed dental care. They are also open on the weekends and work days to work with your schedule. My favorite part too especially being a client with ADHD is the wonderful text reminders about your appointment to ensure you don't forget and can confirm from your phone. read more

I've been coming here for 1 year bcuz I moved. They are open 7 days a year. This is a network of dentists. It's very confusing here. You never get the same dentist. When something goes wrong, you have to schedule with the previous dentist who worked on you otherwise you'll have to pay again to fix something. There are like maybe 2 good dentists with good quality and the rest sucks. The front desk is also a hit or miss. A few ladies are super nice while some others one got out of bed on the wrong side. So i recently came in for a discomfort from a filling one of their dentist did. I was seen by a different dentist (of course). They told me I needed root canal and quoted me (with insurance and discount ) out of pocket $2200. So I went to a different dentist for a second opinion. They told me I don't need a root canal. I just needed something polished bcuz my bite was too high on the back side... Gold Coast dentist didn't even check if my bite was high and said I needed root canal. Crazy!!!!!! So I got my tooth polished by the alternative dentist and the discomfort went away. I will not be coming back here after I finish my ortho treatment. read more

Terrible experience. The customer experience here was unfriendly, unwelcoming and impatient. I came on a Saturday morning and the staff here upon entering was impatient and giving attitude responding to me and other patients. After waiting 10 minutes I asked if the receptionist still had my ID and the receptionist abruptly said "I'm working on it!!". It took me aback. My appointment was for a simple teeth cleaning and they refused to do a teeth cleaning because the dental hygienist only would proceed doing anything if I did a crown, a deep cleaning and filling. I felt like I was getting scammed because I had gone to another dentist a few months ago and was in the clear. I just moved so I wanted to find a dentist locally. Not going here in the future and now reading other Google reviews, I see I'm not alone in this experience. I should've done more research about this location. I will not be returning to this office again due to the lack of communication and professionalism throughout my experience. I originally came in as a new patient for a routine checkup. After the exam, I was told I needed additional work done and was asked if I wanted to move forward with treatment. I specifically told the assistant, "If you can complete everything today, I will do it." She left to confirm, returned, and assured me that everything could be completed that day. Based on that information, I agreed, signed the paperwork, and paid. After treatment had already started, I was then told, "We're done for today -- you'll need to come back in a couple days." I immediately explained that I only agreed to treatment because I had been told everything would be completed in one visit. Instead, what I was originally told would be one appointment turned into four separate visits. Had I been given accurate information from the beginning, I would have made a different decision regarding treatment and scheduling. Instead, I had to repeatedly rearrange my schedule, miss work multiple times, and return far more often than expected. What made the experience even more frustrating was how my concerns were handled. A manager or supervisor approached me while my mouth was still extremely numb and I was struggling to speak clearly, asking what I didn't understand about needing multiple appointments. My issue was never the appointments themselves -- it was being told one thing before signing paperwork and paying, only for reality to be completely different afterward. Clear communication and proper expectation-setting are essential in healthcare. Unfortunately, this office failed in both areas. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so terrible that I feel compelled to share it. We had an appointment scheduled for 1:00 PM, yet we were made to wait nearly an hour before even receiving a checkup. The treatment cost we were quoted was extremely overpriced, and when I asked for an explanation, I was told--very rudely--that there was "very little time" to explain. After that, she told us that they couldn't find my insurance and that I wouldn't be able to receive treatment that day -- after we had already waited more than three hours. When I asked why this issue was only brought up at that point, she angrily told me that it was my fault. Her attitude was consistently hostile and dismissive, no matter what I asked. This behavior was extremely unprofessional, and I felt completely disrespected as a patient. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone read more

This place and the people who work here are so amazing! I had a tooth extraction + bone graft done today by Dr. Loomis who I will strongly say is very good at what he does. Do not go here. Cleaning your teeth done by the young Hispanic assistance means water gets all over your face and all over the place. Set many appointments in advance but when I get there, they don't know what my appointments are for, or they don't have the parts to do the work. I complained to the Office Manager. I had a procedure done few days ago and the pain was so severe and couldn't see my dentist. I haven't slept in 2 days. I was in shock when u seen they're open on weekends and stay open at 7pm. From the beginning Raul was ver helpful and quick. He had an upset patient but handled it like a pro. The waiting for me was really good since it was my first time. They're are very helpful and communicate with you if they're running behind. Dr. Henderson was so kind, which made me at ease. I'm terrified of the dentist but she changed that. I had an appt for a regular cleaning at 3 pm today. I've gotten two emails confirming and three texts confirming (yes, I responded that I would be there!). Just got a call at 2:00 saying they've been trying to reach me since Friday (that's BS since I have no missed calls and no voicemails from them - I already know their number since this happened to me so many times before) and that they have to reschedule me for Wednesday!! Never ever ever going back here. SO inconvenient and disrespectful of people's time. Most people work (like myself) and arrange time off to be at these appointments. The root canal was ultimately successful, though I had to wait a week in pain to fit in their calendar. The only reason I decided to move forward with the treatment is because they already charged me for the exam, going to another dentist would result in an exam fee. I'm going to be quite honest, all this just happened so I'm still reeling over how I was treated. I needed to get some fillings and I warned the dental assistant that I have a really bad fear of needles and I have past trauma with numbing injections(I had facial reconstructive surgery that required me to be injected over and over again for an hour straight to get the entire right side of my face numb after losing a lot of skin to cancer, which has left me traumatized from the injections and the burning sensation the numbing causes). The way this doctor treated me was humiliating and further traumatizing. He said we can attempt to do the fillings without numbing but there might be pain. I wanted to try that first since I was getting pretty nervous about the injections. For the first filling I felt a little pain, but was able to continue. The whole time the doctor kept telling me how much easier and better numbing is and how I need to learn how to deal with it. How it's not a big deal and I am working myself up over nothing. During the second filling I started to feel a little pain, but the worst part was the smell. It started to remind me of the burning smell of my skin from my cancer surgery and I (admittedly) freaked out a little. I made a grunting noise to indicate I needed a break. He kept going. I raised my hand slightly to again indicate for him to stop and he kept going. Then I made a high pitched noise and moved my shoulders cause I really started freaking out that he wasn't stopping. He stopped and said that all this would be easier if I just took the injection. I tried to tell him that I just needed a minute and calm down. I told him that we could try the injection and he just reached for it and tried to jab me. Now I don't remember this happening, but I don't deny that this isn't outside the realm of possibility, but he claims I tried to hit him. I think I just reflectively raised my arm because I wasn't prepared for the needle. He didn't give me any numbing jelly(like the assistant said he would) and he didn't warn me he was about to do the injections. He stormed away saying I can't hit him with instruments in his hands and I need to stop my crying and screaming. I told him he needs to talk me through what's happening and to give me a warning that the injection was coming or I'll panic again. Finally we come to an agreement that he'll give me the numbing jelly and a verbal warning that the injection is happening if I promise to stay still with my eyes closed. I was able to take the injection and he said "finally you're not being a baby". Yes, those were his words. That I was being a baby. He continued with the fillings and there was still pain so he had to inject me again. This time went better but I still had tears from the memory of the burning sensation. He said I need to stop crying and that it doesn't hurt. After we were done, he said that the other fillings I "needed" I actually don't need to do because they weren't actually cavities. At this point I have lost all trust for this man and I think he was just trying to get me out of his chair. But I don't really care so I just leave. Now I am in my car and I am having some bad side effects from the numbing injections that I wasn't warned about. I can't move most of the muscles on the right side of my face, and I'm having a lot of facial drooping. I'm hoping it will go away in a few hours. I am also hoping I never see that asshole of a dentist again. I'm sorry I can't provide the name, because I forgot with how upset I have been. *edited to add: I would've given a much higher rating if it wasn't for this doctor. The receptionist Stephanie is amazing and is very kind working around my incredibly busy schedule. And the dental hygienist who did my cleaning was also impeccable and made me feel comfortable. I visited the Orange location today, Sunday. Everything started smoothly, nice front desk staff and the sweetest dental assistance took my X-rays. Well I can't say the same for the attending dentist. I don't even have her name because guess what? She never formally introduced herself to me or even bothered to fully enter the room before addressing me. When I say I have NEVER came across someone as rude and uncaring as her it's not an understatement. Listen, I understand, who wants to work in a Sunday, right? But when you take an oath to become a DR you make a promise to make your patients feels seen and cared for. She was so cold and it honestly felt like I was a bother to her that I came in with my the concern. She was condescending and I basically had to ask her to look inside my mouth because according to her "it was too early" to even consider a complication from my procedure as she was dismissing everything I said. I was not there because it is a fun weekend activity. I was there because I was concerned and in pain. I want to lead with the fact that all the staff were very professional and caring. Appointment was easy to book. I also feel that the hygienist did a great job with cleaning my gums. The black staining on my teeth, which was why I came in to begin with, was mostly removed but I did notice that a lot of it was overlooked. I still have big specks on the inside of my teeth and it's worrying to me. I'm a very obsessive person, so I could be overreacting, but I think the cleaning was slightly rushed for what I paid (300). I don't know if I'll want to come back purely based on value. In summary, very satisfied with my overall cleaning care, but still apprehensive in the way I feel about the marks on my teeth. read more

Absolutely awful experience got my wisdom teeth removed and was given zero aftercare instructions I had to look everything up and they gave me no real pain meds just amoxicillin and ibuprofen and ibuprofen is supposed to cause dry socket's apparently but of course they didn't tell me that so now I have 2 dry sockets I tried going in to get them to medicate the area or give real pain meds but instead they looked at my dry sockets and still tried to tell me I don't have any I went to a different dentist and they confirmed I do have 2 dry sockets and they put a medical dressing on the wound I already filed a complaint with the state but I'm working on hiring a malpractice lawyer because I shouldn't be in so much pain that I can't even go to work talk or eat and they're still telling me I'm fine and it's too early for a dry socket which is crazy because I got it on day 2 which is when your most likely to get it and it's only been getting worse I'm on day 5 and I still can't eat any solids read more

Everyone knows that root canals aren't great. But this office made it a painless and quick process! I had Julio and Dr. Plaitano and they were fantastic in my care. I got into the office and was seen very quickly. Throughout the root canal, I was asked about my levels of pain to make sure it was going well- usually I try to tough it out but I felt comfortable in mentioning any pain. I went back on 9/18 for an ortho consult. There was pressure to move forward immediately and I thought I could afford it between Care Credit and their in-house financing program, so we proceeded with next steps. I later went home and did some math and realized I could not afford the extra $2,000 in services. I called 2 days later to cancel. I was given the run around and called several times for over month, but got nowhere. I ended up needing to file a dispute with Care Credit for the $1460 charged because I was growing increasingly worried with the lack of concern or urgency to refund for no service provided. On 11/8 I received only a partial refund. I reached out to Care Credit first and they told me the dentist office only approved a partial refund, but could not tell me why. So I reached out them and was told they kept $500 for ortho lab fees and the X-rays taken the day of my consult. Something I was never informed of the 5-6x I called or the 3-4x I emailed between the end of Sept and October. Admittedly, don't know what the timing is for those things. I've never known any medical office to review labs or X-rays in less than 5-7 days. Had they cancelled the services and refunded me when I originally requested 2 days after my consult, maybe they probably would have had time to cancel and I wouldn't be paying for something I never received. Now I am just out $500 and have nothing to show for it but a 2nd bad review. Now nobody to blame but myself. Do not trust this office. read more

Dear inpatient Run..!!! When considering and seeking a dental dealership or dental corporation. In my opinion proven fraudulent insurance billing practice, over- list sales hygienist, mis-diagnosis, mal-treatments, excessive artificial discounts to promote high cost estimated treatment to increase end of the month sales are important semantics one must not over look or ignore. The cost of doing business with companies and their branch offices like those is too high in today's economic environment. Five star reviews mean nothing when the cost of over treatment and losing teeth to low or limited insurance coverage with high out of pocket expense for implants and crowns. All this must be considered in everyone's opinion, and go with an independent dentist. Remember five stars reviews are seriously requested and begged for by corporate dental offices. In my opinion after experiencing treatments from a handful of the same corporate branch dental locations hear in North Orange county.... I meant, here. It is important to read and exam all poor reviews they are usually, and likely TRUE. And after doing your due diligence unlike my unfortunate case. my opinionated suggestion is for you the reader is five simple words ..!!! Run, Run, Run, Run away..!!!! Go directly pass .. !! Go. I arrived by 8:08am and the receptionist didn't tell me at first, but basically my appointment was never scheduled when I called. She kept trying to find me in their system and asked if I was a new patient lol So when she finally found me she made an appt for 8:15am and I found because they send texts out. So I was really annoyed at that point. I waited about 35 mins to be seen. When I get called in I get taken to the room and I sit down and the assistant or dentist says that I was recommended a deep cleaning and I said "yes, I know that and when I scheduled my appointment I made it clear I couldn't afford a deep cleaning at the moment so I wanted a regular for now and they said okay" and then she continues by saying that they couldn't do it that it had to be a deep cleaning lol and I said they couldn't tell me that over the phone instead of wasting my damn time?! And I stormed out because I had lost it at that point. HORRIBLE dental office I've ever been too and I will never be back. And I'm going to keep track of my insurance billing to make sure they did not bill anything after this. And not to mention this is the SECOND time they waste my time like this. Look elsewhere!
