I was referred here by my dentist for a root canal. I was very scared but the endodonist Dr. Arabpour and all the assistants and staffs were very nice and so sweet. Big shoutout specifically to LaMont White, he was so sweet and even ended up giving me some life advice during my consultation. I went with my mom and at the end, the doctor herself went to go update my mom on my procedure and assure her very went well. Everyone was just so nice. Two weeks later, everything went well with the root canal and am back to healthy teeth. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in my life, involving both the dentist and the office staff. I was told that I needed a deep cleaning and was strongly encouraged to have it done with a laser. I informed them that I wanted all treatment to go through my insurance. After the deep cleaning was completed, the dentist told me that using the laser was not necessary the better way to do the procedure. That comment left me shocked and questioning why the laser treatment had been recommended in the first place. The service was performed in January, and since then I have been charged $860. Throughout February, March, and April, I contacted the office every week by email and phone requesting my account statement and billing records. The office not only refused to provide my patient account records related to the services performed, but they also failed to submit the claim to my insurance company. In addition, many of my emails were ignored and my phone calls were dismissed and disconnected in what I considered to be a highly unprofessional manner. After repeated calls and emails, I finally managed to obtain an account statement. The statement I received consisted of two pages, included what appeared to be an unrecognizable patient signature. The statement showed a balance of $650. When I contacted the office, I was told that this balance would be paid by my insurance company and that no payment was required from my side. However, every time I followed up to receive a new statement with a zero balance, I was given a different excuses as to why the claim had still not been submitted to my insurance , including that the policy number was entered incorrectly, that it was being processed, and some other excuses that no one could believe it. This behavior might work for some people, but not for all people specifically the ones who know the process, as they can simply confirm with their insurance company whether the claim has been submitted or not. The office staff demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism and appeared unfamiliar with patients' rights and applicable rules in California. Because of the ongoing issues, I submitted two formal written requests by both email and mail. These requests were made pursuant to my rights of access to billing and medical records under HIPAA and its implementing regulations, which require covered entities to provide timely access to requested records upon proper request. Since this matter has not been addressed promptly and in good faith, I have pursued all available remedies, including filing formal complaints with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the California Dental Board, as well as legal counsel. read more

They were so nice in the beginning got my wisdom teeth extracted, spent over 1500 on other work I needed done that my insurance didn't cover . I had a couple more things to get done and the front office guy that's a bit older began to be rude because I didn't want to give them anymore money hung up in my face . Honestly don't come here they will just want your money and then treat you bad when it becomes too much . The specialist that did my root canal was so unprofessional the shot they give to numb you she wasn't paying attention went all over my face my eyes she continued to touch my hair and have irrelevant conversations continue to treat me while being sloppy and rough. Terrible service the lady's were so reassuring however the doctor was rude fast and trying to get you in and out of the office which for some would be good however I woke up hurting being told I woke up from a bad dream and realized after getting home I have some cuts on my lip in two different places mind you I was sedated for the procedure. Not to mention the prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy so my driver was forced to drive me around in excruciating pain. Good luck if you go here. Came back the next day for a follow up appointment as I'm in so much pain and got into an argument with the front receptionist guy over telling him I'm still in pain and refusing to get numbed up again, being treated as if I'm shopping around for pain pills. I'm already insecure about my teeth so for her to scream at me and bash me telling me how horrible my teeth are and how it's the worst she's seen is honestly so mean. This office is very caring and nice. It is a husband and wife that are the dentists. The husband cleaned my teeth and the wife did my crown procedure today. Both are very calm and professional with good energy. I have to give 5 stars to the guy that handles the insurance. I was previously denied for my crown at my old dentist. This gentlemen went out of his way to appeal my insurance and he got my crown and cleaning covered. I am so thankful! You have a very good employee working for you and he is so helpful and kind. This place is awful. They will bait and switch you, and use treatment like a carrot on a stick. They will not treat anything until they create a treatment plan (but only if you're worth the money). I was in pain, communicated that pain came and was left to sit in a chair for over 30 minutes while they typed up w treatment plan. When I scheduled my appointment they seemed to want help, even had me come in early so I could all the xrays and photos done leaving as much time possible for treatment. They didn't do jack shit. I scheduled an appointment for 5 days later, mind you still in pain. I felt upset with my experience called and spoke to them about it. I thought my appointment 5days later would be simple, careful, and done. When I go the front desk the clerk, same one who went over my treatment plan and scheduled the appointment for 5 days later, seemed like she didn't know why I was there. I'm instantly a wreck because I get very anxious around dental care, literally tearing up shaking. She doesn't care, I tell her I'm here the root canal she says I'm getting something else done. Dentist walks up and says something, I can't understand so I plainly state are you prepared to treat my pain today. I am then told they will only do the emergency treatment, then I will be referred to a specialist. Why am I learning this as I show up for my appointment?? Why not tell me this during that 45 min waste of my time, how about during the 11 minute and 40 second phone call we had the day before. They will most likely comment on this and refute and try to say "well for all first time patients blah blah" no you don't. My husband also went here, he was not given a treatment plan that he can recall, he thought mine was a bill. They happily services him during his first visit. By believe and tldr; they are out for money, they will do what ever tricks they need to do to maximize profits. The dentist I worked with has little to no compassion or bedside manner. I do not recommend this place even if.you are in pain and in need of help. Also I will.be reporting this location to Delta Dental on Monday once they open. read more

I have been going to Smile Doctors for over 8 years now. They shifted Doctors a few years back. The staff is pretty good until today. Most dental business's today try to push more upcharges to the patient. I was in for a routine cleaning today and once again they tried to sell me x-rays. X-rays were performed last time. They also brought in a "new cleaning specialist" that wanted to charge $450 for a few teeth that needed deep cleaning. A complete rip-off and they knew I didn't have insurance to cover the costs and that I would pay cash. They lost a valuable client today and most importantly their reputation as a respectable dentist office. Avoid this institution. read more

I also called the office with questions concerning my temporary bridge after hours and he actually answered the phone and was ready to have me come in the next morning if I wanted to. Dr K. is the most competent and caring dentist my family ever had! Last year, I was advised by two other dentists that I'd need a root canal but after seeing Dr K. he stopped me of going through with it and saved my tooth, the pain was caused by grinding my teeth, he made me a night guard and after a week the pain went away! Fast forward to last Saturday, my 9 year old son fell off his bike and broke his front tooth as we are in the midst of COVID19 pandemic and all the dental offices are closed! We contacted Dr. K for advice, after asking us about our current health, he agreed to meet him at his office and his tooth right away!! We are forever grateful! Start off I want say I may be biased here. My sis works here and cleans my teeth. She's super gentle that I often fall asleep and she'd have to tell me to wake up. They are relatively new so not open full time yet so not good if you need a specific day of the week outside of their normal openings of Tues and Thurs and Sat by appointments.
