Ordered the Yuppy Pizza with cauliflower crust, added chicken with a side of garlic parmesan wings. Honestly, the best cauliflower crust I've ever had. Here's why they didn't get 5 star from me 1) seating and ordering process was confusing This was my first time and I stood there looking around for a few minutes before I realized what I was supposed to do thought I was waiting to be seated. When you walk in there are two cash registers tended by employees but no one said anything when we first walked in. No menu visible on the wall or pictures. After a couple of minutes we were asked what we would like to order. Umm, I don't know, what are my options? Where's the menu? The lady pointed to the newspapers, informed us we can sit any where and come back up when we're ready 2) They have a full bar, but charge for water and it's against their policy to give out a cup of ice WTF?!? I can't bring in my personal water bottle and if I want water with my meal I'm forced to buy a bottle of water which is bad for the environment. 3) We we're informed they were out of Basil (yuppie Pizza cheese, garlice, olive oil, basil) and garlic parmesan sauce. Full disclosure we got there an hour before closing so I can understand I asked for jalapeno in place of the basil. This didn't have an impact on my rating. Although, the food is really good they need to work on the basics 1) Greeting/directing new customers 2) provide water/ice charge a cup fee or allow customers to bring in their own water bottle, but don't force me to buy bottled water. Wow!!! Why isn't this place everywhere?! I was suspicious because Copperopolis is in the middle of nowhere, but I was proved foolish. The pizza is THE BEST! We had a pepperoni mushroom, and we ate the whole thing! I just couldn't stop. The cheese is the delicious stretchy kid that you see in movies. Pros: Incredibly nice staff. All of them were very cooperative and friendly. Ample outdoor seating (considering no one wears masks in that area, this is a good option to have). Some activity sheets for kids (no pens though!) Cons: They charge for water - $1/cup!! The Caesar salad was a grocery store salad kit! Really bad. Our medium pizza had two of the slices bubbled up and burnt, didn't taste better than a chain pizza. No one masks in that area - I have visited other restaurants there too and its the same story. None of the staff here did and most of the guests didn't either. So go depending on your risk tolerance. Sanitizers were freely available throughout the facility. Would I go back again? Great pizza place in Copper. I haven't tried the other Gold Dust locations, but am a big fan of this location! Love the restaurant itself and the food is great. A little more pricey than your basic pizza but the quality is worth it. My favorite to get there is the vegetarian pizza, no mushrooms and add either pepperoni or sausage to it; seriously so amazing! This is our go-to pizza place. Being from NY I'm a little hard to please when it comes to pizza but Gold Dust Pizza does a really good job. They have a few locations and they make their dough in a centralized warehouse and deliver it fresh to o thank he individual locations regularly. Their crust is really delicious and wE think this may be the best pizza in N. California. You can request thin crust which is exactly the way I like it.
