This place has a nostalgic feeling. It used to he an old corner store the good ole "T&G" ran by a spanish family. I used to get my .35 cent ice pops here lol. I mean this building has so much nostalgia. So i go to college overseas and when i returned the store wasnt there anymore. I remember someone telling me the spanish abuelo passed and his son ran the store for a bit. I probably never stepped in the store for almost 20yrs. I always passed by it but never went inside Finally i was curious to see what was inside and man... my first reaction was "holy shit" hahaha this place is different. It definitely wasn't what i was expecting. Service: Fast, the young lady was polite and gave me a menu and see what they offered. Food: i did not expect the size of it. You're getting what you're paying for. Ambiance: Colorful, they had two dogs walking around the restaurant and im a dog person so i had to get my pet on lol. What a delectable surprise! The food here is delicious and the vibe is totally homey and ethnically nostalgic! With roots in Peru and some influences from Colombia, this place has everything from delicious entrees, to a full service bakery, to shakes and boba teas and so much more!! Amazing place! At first glance the place looks extremely cozy, they have couches and chairs of preference, we were attended by this friendly and kind man named Jericho. The drinks were pretty good we got a milk tea and a pink lemonade, we also got the peruvian salchipapa which was absolutely huge and generous for 12 dollars, it quickly filled us up and was delicious. I am from Uruguay and these churros bring me back to when I was a little kid and the churro man used to pass by. We ordered them from Uber eats and they were still sooo hot! I always order here from Uber Eats but they have the BEST EVERYTHING here. I can't say what I like more. The cheese cakes, the churros, the chicharron de guava, the alfajores.. SO GOOD. Everything looks awesome and yummy but nothing ever taste good. It all taste plastic or weird. It's hard to explain but cakes taste like wax the cake pops taste hard and waxy. Nothing melts in your mouth or taste delicious but everything looks delicious. The only thing good in the store are the coffees. Other than that I would not recommend any desserts. They're also extremely overpriced and I'm not sure I understand their hours of operation. Sign says they're open but it'll be pitch black inside. Idk but it's not worth it. I just absolutely love their delicious cakes and mousse. I make sure I am there for their special prices on Wednesday and Saturday- buy one get the second one 1/2 off!!! The price is reasonable too. The place is clean!!! Seems like they take pride of their location as well as their products. The selections varies but that's ok, they all taste good... more flavor and taste vs just some sugary moist or sponge cake. You have to come and taste it for yourself. If I was able to review the food and staff in 2 reviews I would but I'll do it here . Let's just start with the pastries that they have . I ordered a brownie , Oreo individual cake , and a bread pudding . All were underwhelming besides the bread pudding . The brownie was very dry but was saved by the chocolate ganache on top . Oreo cake seemed to be frozen and when thawed it lacked flavor . The bread pudding , though , was great . The sauce underneath was flavorful and the bread pudding itself had a nice texture and probably tastes great heated up . Now , this is where the score gets bad... the person taking care of my order was NOT wearing a mask , he was not wearing gloves , and kept wiping his face on his shirt , or maybe just his nose IDK but that's gross . With a pandemic around , I was appalled . I ended up reporting this business to N.J. covid site . There is no excuse why a business can not follow basic covid procedures . read more

I order a cheesecake and a cornito and got half the order wrong, got a regular red velvet cake instead of the cheesecake and the cornito was hard as a rock and had paper and I don't understand how they can serve that to a customer that's really messed up. read more

I am severely disappointed and hurt right now. I went in to this bakery twice on different weeks just to make sure their cakes were good. I asked both times about Mickey Mouse cakes and asked prices before I made my decision on buying from here. Both times the cakes slices from the fridge were good and tasted pretty fresh. So finally I ordered. This cake was for my son's 2nd birthday so I settled on a slightly cheaper but still expensive cake even tho we weren't having a party. The owner said she was going away for Valentine's day but would be back by 7am the morning of the 17th and would be able to do my cake then. I even asked "ARE YOU SURE YOU WILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME?" She promised and assured me she would. So I ordered it and put my $20 deposit and would pay the last $30 on pick up on the 17th she even wrote she would be open from 8am-7pm. Well day of pick up the 17th a Sunday which I assumed they would be open since she said she would but NOPE! I had to call multiple times morning and afternoon before she would answer. Finally I sent my father in law to pick it up at 5pm like it was supposed to be ready. He waited for about 15 min (before someone happen to walk by the window) and then was told to come around back to pick it up. Well at 8 pm i look at it and first thing i said was "she froze this cake". No one believed me. I even told the owner i used to decorate cakes so you would think she be on her A game. NOPE! Sure enough 3 hours after pick up it's still frozen! I had to shove the candles in thru a frozen top layer. I am so pissed off right now I paid $50 for a old frozen pre-made cake that tastes old and like fridge! The imperfections on the cake is even worse. The glaze is all down the side and the dye melted into the side from being frozen. There is also coconut flakes all over the sides which I never asked for or even like and is not on the order. The top layer is so dry and old it crumbles like sand. I will NEVER be back. She got me on this one. I asked for a catalog of cakes. They didnt have one. However those on display and the cake pops looked amazing so I was confident I would get a beautiful cake! She shows me a picture of a cake that is ombre and has a gold sign on top that says "God Bless" and has a cross. She says "no problem." I pick up the cake right before my event and it is literally the ugliest cake I have ever seen. My older son asked if that was shampoo poured on top. When picking it up, I had no words and took the cake because I had no other choice at this point and paid in full. I was even too embarassed to display it at the party. The white flakes on the cake look and taste like wax. The dollar store letters are crooked. This ugly cake cost me $50. We just tried this place for the first time. My cheesecake tasted and smelled of plastic. It took about 5-10 minutes for it to go away. Everything came frozen so obviously they make it and then freeze it until they need it. It wasn't expensive but still not worth the price.
