My husband requested the spot (empty) next to our friends. We were told it was reserved for a 40 foot bus. (Fair enough) We were put in a small spot to put our 30 ft travel trailer AND somehow park our F350. My husband was dissatisfied and they moved us to a little larger spot. Lo and behold the next morning in the spot next to our friends was a travel trailer the same size as ours if not smaller! A lot of full timers here as well. Not my cup of tea. I needed to use the bathroom this morning and there was no AC in the bathrooms! It has been triple digits here in Reno and I can't imagine using bathroom during the heat of the day. We will never come here again. The KOA in Boomtown was much nicer. We would have stayed there but we wanted to be with our friends. read more

This park is great. The staff is wonderful, the park clean and quiet, and the spaces are decent sized. I recommend this park as a safe spot to not only live full time, but to rest up if you are passing through Reno. It is easy on and off the freeway and close to shopping. Not a fan. Came for the Reno Balloon Race; bookerd it 4 months in advance. But they only had overflow available. You have to call to make a reservation. They didn't disclose to me that the overflow is just a parking lot where their warehouse is (on the other side of their property). I think this should be on the website because otherwise, you have no idea what you signed up for until you arrive. There's no sewer hookup; you can dump at the end. You have to share the water hose with other Rv's during your stay. So you fill up your tank in the beginning. The electric hookup was fine and was 30 amp. However there was no grass for my dog to potty. Pottying my dog at night was not pleasant. The pool is under repair and currently not an available amenity, which should be disclosed on their website. The lot abutts a gravel company that transports rocks and it gets kind of noisy and dusty, even on weekends. I paid $50/day. I won't be staying there again. But the positives were that the staff were friendly and the place is clean. read more

Always friendly and helpful staff. They are also my go to if I need a propane fill or dump. Great place and great folks.

Review number 2: The rent went up twice since living here. A total of $940 a month. I would be fine with paying that much if this place had a lot to offer. There's no background check needed to stay here which can be bad. I recently found out 3 pedophiles ranging from tier 3 & 4 live in this Rv park. All the grass spots are off limits with signs posted "keep dogs off grass". I guess it's just there for looks.. there's a smelly sand patch in the back where they expect you to take your pet. It reeks like it's never been cleaned. They complain that you're speeding yet they ride that Can-Am fast as hell through the trailer park. Instead of coming to talk to you directly about a problem they may have with you, they leave letters on your door threatening to evict you. They've accused us of breaking our neighbors water hose by backing in our vehicles and never apologized. My husband did break the washing machine and we gladly paid for it! They play favorites at this rv park and it's noticeable. read more

We really like this RV park. Connie in the office is great, I haven't met the other staff yet. George and the workers are super nice. this park is very well taken care of and very clean, and we can tell they care about it. We are staying here for a few months while they finish putting power on our property before we can move back. I feel safe and secure in this park and the sheriff drive through a few times a day. We stayed here a few years ago and it is really nice. The bathrooms are spotless the showers are hot and the laundry area is very very clean. Also have an exercise room that is clean but I have not worked out yet, I have been walking in this spacious RV park. There are a lot more residents than people just Traveling through the area, and that is because it is winter time. Everyone has been very nice and waves when you walked by and we really like it here. Where it is at is very nicely located, you were close by do all the shopping and the freeway and you can get around pretty quick. I love it when you can tell that they really care about their place and who stays here. It ireally nice to see some of the residents decorate their RVs for Christmas. read more

My husband and I stayed at this RV park last summer. During our stay the RVers next door had two of their vehicles broken into. Their car windows were smashed in. This park has no extra parking except for a few spots limited to 15 minutes. My husband assisted them by helping them fit both of their vehicles into their small spot, to keep them secure until they could get the windows repaired. While helping them it was necessary for him to park outside the "yellow line" for 15 minutes. The following day we received a written warning notice on our RV door for parking outside of the "yellow line". After this a third RVer had his car window smashed in. I asked around about the security of the park and was told the Sheriff's Department down the street lets out inmates at all times of the night and they walk right by the park to go to the bus stop. I also understand this park does not do background checks on campers who stay long-term in the park. read more

Decent Rv park with level lots. But I give it a single star (preferring to give them no star but Yelp doesn't allow no star). We booked a reservation with our friends also booking a reservation. Our friends had a truck (16') towing a Rv overall length of 27'. We have a smaller class c and since his spot actually was small for his towed camper and truck and we didn't have a car, we let him park in our spot. Due to changing weather conditions, we decided to leave after 2 days and the office said they would charge us fully for remaining days and not give us a credit. So, since we had paid for remaining days and would not get a credit, we told our friend to use our spot to park his truck in our spot. But the nasty owners, told him he couldn't use the spot--even though it was "paid for by us". So we don't get a credit, which we are okay with, but we technically "paid" for the spot, and want to help our friends out, and they shouldn't double dip! These are highly unprofessional people! read more

Very clean and well-maintained. We have a dually with 41' 5th wheel and found the entrance to be a bit tight, but doable. Spaces are tight, but clean and well-maintained. We had to park our truck in a separate spot due to space constraints, however it was not a significant issue. Amenities include: A small dog park; clean laundry room with 5 washers and 8 dryers ($2/load each), detergent available, and a literature rack; basics available in registration/store area; pool; bathroom/showers (we did not use these); workout room (only open during office hours); propane available (price noted to be lowest in area, however we did not verify this); and RV storage area available. Park is in an industrial area, walking distance to Bonanza casino and very close to downtown. HUGE off-leash dog park close by as well. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay! read more

I've stayed here awhile ago. There are a lot of trees and paved sites. There is a pool also. It is close to down town Reno or you can walk to the Bonanza. The staff are all real nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place, but they are often full. read more

Of the three RV parks in Reno that we have stayed in and of all those we have checked out in Reno, this is the nicest. The parking spaces for the RV and the car are paved, as are all the drives. It is clean and the water for the showers is HOT! They have propane service, which is nice, you do not have to move your RV to get a refill and if you are staying for a while you can get a large tank hooked up. It is easy to find on Parr but be careful, some GPS systems seem to think it is on North Virginia. It is generally quiet however if trains bother you, the tracks are close. However that is not to say there is no room for improvement. First thing they can do is something about their motorized ATV/utility vehicle that they use around the park. It is loud, specially starting off from a stop. Think of a Harley blasting off from a stop light. They start using it just after 7:30 AM and seem to do all the work they need to do with it in the AM. They should drive it slower so it is not so loud and hold off on it until the afternoon. Or get an electric golf cart. (A golf cart would be the best.) They have cable TV but what my digital sets tell me is all their channels are analog and they all had a lot of static. I know a lot of older RVs still have the old TV sets but really they need to upgrade their system to a digital system. There are local stations you can get with an antenna, just aim it south towards downtown. They do have free WIFI but it is not the greatest as it is slow and there are frequent disconnects. (This after the painters power washed prior to painting in April. Prior to that It was great. It may be up to snuff by summer.) If you play timed games you will lose more games as a result. They have one small enclosed dog run but they also have room to make a much bigger one back in their storage area or between their exercise room and Parr. Right now people have to hold off because only a few dogs at a time can use the run without doggie conflicts. Perhaps turning the one fenced dog run into two would help. They have a nice pool up front but it is kind of small for the size of the park. Unlike some cheaply maintained parks that use hard to see rocks to protect equipment, Shamrock uses talk post painted a bright red so you can see them in your mirrors in the dark. I think Shamrock is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at anywhere so do not let my comments discourage you, they are just suggestions on how to make a great park even better. If anyone stays later and they have used any of my suggestions, please make sure you comment as to the update. read more

Stayed here Oct - Nov 2013 The park is located about two miles north of the strip in downtown Reno and just a hop, skip and a jump from interstates 80, 395 and 580. This convenient location means you are just minutes away from everything you could possibly need. Restaurants, casinos, mall, grocery, and outlet shopping, and of course beautiful scenery are all within a short distance. The park has 121 paved sites that are set up to accommodate not only your rig comfortably but your tow vehicle and/or toad as well. The side by side parking of rig and vehicle provides ample distance between neighbors and adds a great deal to your sense of privacy. The entire property was exceptionally clean. Not a day went by when we didn't see a member of the park staff outside raking, sweeping, pruning and doing top-notch landscape and janitorial upkeep. As a matter of fact, this will be the first RV Park Review in nearly two years that I'll be able to say I actually used the bathhouse facilities and didn't just take pictures! The temperatures in the teens caused our bathroom plumbing to freeze and we were forced to take advantage of the showers and restrooms at the park. I should say lucky enough to take advantage of them! We checked in for 2 nights and ended up staying for nearly 6 weeks. We would definitely stay at this park again! read more

We lived at this RV park for almost 3 years. It's sad cause when we first moved in the rent was 400 a month now not even 3 years later we hear our rent is going to 650. New comers are paying 760. Rules are made but they are not for all it just depends on who you are. The speed limit is 5 but if you have a golf cart and are the manager you can go well beyond that. We were very good renters and didn't cause problems paid out Bill's when they were due but still got sectioned out of the elite group. I think the manager has some serious issues due to hearing him yelling at people and telling them if they don't do it his way they will be evicted. read more

Good place for nights when visiting friends. Ends are bad as no trees grass etc just pavement. Pool small & filled with kids, but Ok to get a bit of swimming in. A very good park for being right outside the downtown area. It is set up on a hill away from road noise. Very clean, all the amenities you'd expect, and well maintained. The sites felt tight, but are actually average size. I think it's the flat open paved area of the park itself that makes it seem more crowded than it actually is. Very little greenery, this is a city park in location and appearance. In our four day stay we only heard the train once. It's just a little used spur track, not the main line. If you need to be near the strip in Reno, or near the university, this is an excellent choice. read more

For all the positive reviews on Yelp and GoodSam ratings, I expected more than a parking lot with a few trees. Had to do some leveling, door opened into driving lot, no place for kids to run off energy from being in the car all day. Pool (if you can call that outdoor postage stamp a pool) hours are 10am-7:30pm. With check out at 11am, if you get here in the evening, you are pretty much out of luck. No other playing space. Wifi is horrible. Overpriced and over praised for what it is. I give it one extra star for being clean. That's the only positive. Can't say I would stay here again. read more

Sites are close but the location is close to town- 10 minute drive to renown. A huge off leash dog park is 2.5 miles away. You can walk 0.2 miles to a casino. Location is high so no worry of flooding. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. First of all the owners of this park are extremely nice! They were very accommodating when the interstate was closed and we needed to book another night unexpectedly. The facility is extremely clean with nice restrooms and shower facilities. The laundry room had many washers and dryers and lots of room. They also fill propane onsite which was a huge plus to not have to go anywhere to fill propane. Overall we felt welcomed safe and very comfortable. I highly recommend this park. read more

This is a very clean and quiet park. Never heard a train noise in the many nights I've stayed here and we are on the south side, closest to the tracks. It is also extremely reasonably priced for long-term space rentals. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The spaces are large and wide enough to park two vehicles without looking over-crowded. We are very happy with the Shamrock RV park and recommend to short-term and long-term RV'ers. read more

This is one of the best run RV parks I've stayed at. The maintenance is top notch and the staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed for six months while helping with a family move and there were no noisy disruptions or problems the whole time. Fair pricing, easy access to the interstate, but far enough to be quiet. I found out all the other parks kick out full timers in the summer with no where to go it is hard to get a spot through the month let alone a week, a few days here and a few days there, do not move here unless you secured a spot!! I recently stayed in this park for about 9 months. And tho it's a very well kept park and most of the staff is great, it has a dark secret. George the "manager" treats long term residents poorly. My personal experiences with him (3) were problematic. 1 encounter was a phone conversation where after being told by office staff I could build a 4' x 6' deck and had material delivered, he called me and overrode what I was told by other employees. Then second encounter was in person where he came to my space to exert his authority once more and at the conclusion of that conversation he told me that I was "snippy and standoffish". I blew it off as I just figures he had a short man complex and he needed to feel superior to me. The the third issue was after we all received a notice about repacking the streets and we had to be out by 8am or we couldn't get out. He came knocking at 7:35 am to inform me I had only 15 mind to get out. I came to the door fresh out of the shower with a wet head and after he told me several times I had 15 mins I assured him I would be out. I then said to him "let me go so I can get dressed", he then Walked away saying "you have a bad attitude". I again ignored this abusive behavior because by then I had spoken with several long term tenants about him and was warned to "keep your eyes open and your mouth closed" because George can have you evicted at the drop of a hat. I have heard him verbally abuse other elderly long term tenants as well. He has been given way to much autonomy and the owners have been heard saying "we back George". I am a compliant rule follower but George seems to have more rules than are listed in the park rule book. And different rules for different tenants. So for a short term stay you will find this to be a lovely park but know that there are long term people here that are being treated Much differently than daily's I would like to thank the office staff and Sabrina for making my stay bearable. read more

We squeaked into this place just before the office closed. Customer service was really good. We got one of the few spots remaining (seemed to be lots of longer term rigs). Huge, warm bathrooms, very nicely done and clean. They had two dog areas, once small off-leash and one walking area. Tons of dogs around (one even to great you in the office). My one complaint would be we have a large dog, and the off leash area is definitely geared towards small dogs. It was small and had a low fence my dog could look over (and easily jump). Was a bit noisy with street traffic, but the place felt clean and safe. (We had stopped by another RV place in Reno, but looked very shifty with sirens etc...didn't want to stay). Close enough to Reno for convenience, but far enough away it's a bit quieter/safer feeling. Would go back again for sure. read more

Shamrock RV Park is a quiet, pristine community located within Reno city limits, yet it has a rustic recreational and residential appeal. Visitors and residents are treated to beautiful vistas of the southwestern Slide Mountain and Mt. Rose ranges as they picnic and barbecue under the pines. The staff and owners are wonderful people who make it a priority for their visitors and residents to be comfortable and to enjoy the park and all its amenities.
