If you want top dollar for your gold and silver, I would not recommend this business. I went in to get a quote for a heavy white gold necklace and was given a good price but wanted to check that price with a family owned jewelry store in SouthGlenn. The gal at Gold Rush mentioned that she would have to cut into the necklace to verify it was all gold and so if I wanted it back, it would be damaged. A week later I went to the Jewelry store and the wonderful owner, Bill, looked at all jewelry and only had to check a few antique items by using a small file and use a liquid to test in areas that wouldn't show. He didn't need to test the necklace as it was stamped 14 ct. he offered me substantially more for the necklace and I sold all my jewelry to him. read more

Terrible experience... I've used them before with good success but today I called to get a buy price on some gold Maple leaf coins. They are 1oz .9999 fine and I got a story about not quoting over the phone and it varies by weight and purity. They flat refused to tell what they pay relative to spot price on pure gold. Why advertise that you buy gold coins if you can't or won't quote a price for pure gold relative to spot?? Not the same place I've used before, that's for sure. Disappointed. I went to the office in Centennial. Sleazy; fast talking. Clerk would not give a breakout nor show me his calculations, just provided me with a verbal lump sum offer for various pieces of silver and gold. For example, based on today's gold price (approximately $1332), adjusted downward from 24k to 14k, I calculated that he was offering me about 51% of spot. (Anyone can look up these figures.) When I asked him what percentage he was using, he replied "I'm seeing 60%." Clearly math is not his forte. Then he tried to get me to accept his offer by implying I'd taken up his valuable time.
