Today was just a little different as I was not just browsing I was on a mission to replace a a pair of family earrings I had passed on to my daughter... From the moment I walked through the door I felt like I was home...I explained what I was thinking and before I could become overwhelmed Mr Kosta and his son provided me with the best options and insight into each... Once we had settled on a lovely pair with pricing that was spot on and well within my budget - I noticed a few other pairs that again were absolutely perfect. As we settled up Mr Kosta noticed my ring and noted that it was hand made and asked if I would allow him to clean it... which I jumped at! Within 5 minutes...my ring SPARKLED like new! As everything was elegantly boxed and packed up Mr Kosta asked me to wait just one minute... quickly returning from the back he said...You mentioned you travel for work...correct? I said - Yes - I do! He then handed me the most beautiful silk travel jewelry roll case...for my travels! Parking was a bit difficult but worth it . We were warmly greeted and taken care of promptly and professionally. Everyone here is personable and very well educated in what they sell . My Mille Miglia was sent out to the factory service center in Florida for expert repairs. We had such a good experience here I bought my lovely bride a 14.5 carat TW necklace . These are the prime examples of bad faith in bargaining: 1. "Well the ring is a style that only a few people would want-I can't buy something like this -I'd have a hard time selling it. I have to I melt it down. I can pay you for the metal. " 2. After that statement, then these types say , I'm sorry, that's the best I can do ". He told me this when I had a ring with 9 (0.2 carat) good quality diamonds in the setting. And NO mention of the worth of the diamonds. 2. WALK OUT. Go get some other prices! When I did, he wanted me to "come back!". Don't trust him! These weren't accent stones- you don't remember, I remember clearly our interaction. This was a custom piece that was heavy gold and a large cluster of diamonds measuring 7/8 in. By 3/4 inches . It was not a cookie cutter mass produced ring. I stand by my statement.

The woman who answered the phone was curt and unpleasant from the second she picked up. Rather than answering my questions, she immediately became condescending and started explaining how watch batteries work--which wasn't what I had asked. I then asked whether they guarantee their work. Instead of answering professionally, she responded in a tone that made it seem like I had asked a ridiculous question: "Of course we stand by our work." Since that didn't actually answer what I meant, I clarified by asking what the warranty on the battery replacement was. Her response? In an even nastier tone: "We don't warranty our batteries. No one does that." That statement turned out to be completely false. Their quoted price was $65 just for a battery replacement, so I called a few other reputable jewelers. I ended up having the battery replaced for just over $21, and it included a two-year warranty on the battery replacement. It's one thing to charge a premium for exceptional service and expertise. It's another to be rude, dismissive, and confidently tell a customer that "no one" offers something that multiple competitors clearly do. Customer service starts with the first phone call, and unfortunately this establishment failed that test spectacularly. When my watches or jewelry need servicing in the future, Manfredi won't even be a consideration.
