Both watches were repaired for fair prices and expertly. Previous estimates quoted total overhaul and replacement of parts. In fact both watches were no more than six months old. The second watch I waited three weeks for an inflated estimate. Franklin Clock shop and Mahmoud repaired the watch in one day!! I am grateful to Mahmoud and wanted to praise him for his honesty and fairness. I will always bring my work to him in the future and my word of mouth will bring additional customers I hope.

I have been looking for clock repair in NYC for some time and I have found two extremes: on the one hand, clock snobs who won't even look at a mechanical clock unless it meets a certain level of age, rareness and sophistication and on the other hand, well-meaning tinkerers who will be happy to work on your clock but seem to lack much expertise. Igor struck me with both his expertise and his generosity to share that knowledge with a genuinely curious novice.
