The woman who answered the phone was curt and unpleasant from the second she picked up. Rather than answering my questions, she immediately became condescending and started explaining how watch batteries work--which wasn't what I had asked. I then asked whether they guarantee their work. Instead of answering professionally, she responded in a tone that made it seem like I had asked a ridiculous question: "Of course we stand by our work." Since that didn't actually answer what I meant, I clarified by asking what the warranty on the battery replacement was. Her response? In an even nastier tone: "We don't warranty our batteries. No one does that." That statement turned out to be completely false. Their quoted price was $65 just for a battery replacement, so I called a few other reputable jewelers. I ended up having the battery replaced for just over $21, and it included a two-year warranty on the battery replacement. It's one thing to charge a premium for exceptional service and expertise. It's another to be rude, dismissive, and confidently tell a customer that "no one" offers something that multiple competitors clearly do. Customer service starts with the first phone call, and unfortunately this establishment failed that test spectacularly. When my watches or jewelry need servicing in the future, Manfredi won't even be a consideration.

Visiting the shop was a very intimate experience, and we were shown three different champagne diamond options for a custom ring. It was a cool experience to select the gemstone for my partner's own one-of-a-kind ring, and she was so happy with the result! We got the ring shipped back to our home in California after it was made, and it arrived around 2 weeks later, which was fairly quick. While in NY, we also got to try on some of their wedding bands and had an overall great experience. Throughout the process, they were super responsive both in person and over email. She's warm and engaging and passionate about what she does. Fast forward to now, I'm engaged and looking for the perfect ring for myself and immediately thought of this jeweler. I've been eyeing their fancy brown diamonds lately so, knowing I was coming to NYC for a business trip, reached out to them to make an appointment. The team quickly set up a meeting and said they would source some diamonds like the one I liked for me and have them ready. In the meantime, we purchased a small rose gold band for me to wear. It was made upon order and ready far earlier than promised but needed to be re-sized. The day of the appointment I walked over and dropped it off in the morning and it was ready when we arrived a few hours later for our appointment! Yay! We met with Andria who went over the diamonds (she had several for us to see) and let me try on a few that she thought I might like as well. She was awesome, as usual. She spent an hour with us in detail going over all the options, making suggestions, and helping us narrow down our wants and needs. After the appointment her team sent us a summary email with links to the items we chose (bands and such) and a plan for the future. The location of this shop is in the Diamond District in a beautiful modern building shared with the GIA. You check in at the front and get a badge and are then allowed to go to the floor VB is located on. You ring the buzzer and are let in. It's a small space but loaded with beautiful diamonds and has an epic view of the city and lots of sun (you can see it on most of their Instagram posts). They don't only have engagement rings but also have some vintage estate jewelry that's very rare and different like earrings, bracelets, cocktail rings, etc. and can work with you on custom jewelry and rings as well. If you love one-of-a-kind pieces (and who doesn't) and vintage diamonds, this is 100% a team you need to follow. New rings are posted on Insta all the time and they now create their own jewelry with antique diamonds. Love love love!
