I have eat here twice in the last 6 months. The first visit was just okay. The parm fries were the best thing on that trip. The second visit was on point. They have my favorite chilli dogs. I mean you cant go wrong when they fix them right. The more cheese the better! read more

Went in placed order got food quick was on my way. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Yesterday we went there with a party of 4 adults and 2 children. Our Server took our drink order and then proceeded to do other tasks. After 10 minutes my wife walked up to the drink station where she was stacking cups and asked her to please bring our drinks. She took her sweet time and finally brought them with obvious attitude. She then waited on other customers and 10 minutes later appeared to take our order. Our order consisted of 3ways and cheese coneys. These items are cooked and ready for service. After 30 minutes she said our food was in process. We had witnessed 3 other tables that were seated after us get their food prior to us being served. I told her this and she said tables were served in order which was a blatant lie. After 40 minutes from ordering our food arrived with a different server. She was very sweet and I tipped her well. Lets list the screwups by our original server. No drinks until asked She delayed taking our order 2 forks and 2 napkins for a table of 6. Had to get our own from server station. She was told how to divide the check but put it all on one. Cheese coneys ordered without mustard but were covered in it. 2nd server had an extra 3way we did not order. I thanked the second server for helping us. She said she didn't understand why all of this happened but was sorry. I have been in this restaurant many times but I'm not sure I'll return. read more

Always a fun experience with Gold Star Chili. Grew up with the food in Northern Kentucky, i.e. Florence and always try and get back to one when I can. The food is always consistent and brings back memories of growing up. Service at this location is always fast and the servers are very friendly. read more

Stopped on our way to pick up our daughter at her out of state college. First visit and enjoyed it for what it is. Very similar to our Skyline Chili but more extensive menu, I think the chili has better flavor, table service and a more pleasant and cleaner environment. Call me crazy but their oyster crackers were excellent and our waitress sent me off with a huge bag of them! We liked it enough that we made another visit on our way home from picking up our college student. We also got a buy one get one free because an Ohio team won during a game (don't ask me what sports team)! Anyway, for an enjoyable chili experience, give Good Star Chili a try! Every time I am in town, someone says I have to try this place (Best Chili Ever) well they were wrong.. but! For fast food chili and chili dogs it's an ok spot. The food itself was decently good for a fast food chili place, this is Cincinnati style chili so if you enjoy cinnamon in chili you will probably like it... if you do not then I would just move on right now. Parking is easy as it has its own parking and convenient with a drive thru. I had the triple chili dogs with cheese(three mini to medium size chili dogs, covered in shredded cheese and onions) I also got The new Garlic Parmesan loaded fries. I feel as when they say loaded it's a wishful thinking statement, mine were in a big box that barley had any fries in it and the lightest drizzle of whatever was supposed to be loaded onto it. The price also was high for what you get. If you need a chili dog in town this may be your only hope, but for me I will just find elsewhere to eat. read more

You know, I have no idea which of the hundreds of Gold Star Chilis I ate at, but this one was near a Staples on the way to Georgetown, Kentucky (near Lexington). I had no idea what this was (or Skyline, the other big chili chain), but now I want to open one of these in Studio City because it would be busy all day and night and would make me a lot of dough. In other words, darlings, I loved it! I had the Coney dog, which is, in fact, two tiny little hot dogs on two tiny little buns, topped with great chili and a heaping mound of shredded cheddar cheese and onions. It was beyond great and I have been having withdrawal ever since. So, anyone want to go into the Gold Star Chili business. Call me. read more

Always look forward to getting to eat at gold star. This is the closest location to me. Got a chance to eat here last pm. Got there before 9pm. They already had the chairs on the table sweeping. Only booths available. Service was fair food wasn't as good as normal. Then they started mopping before we left. Felt very rushed and unappreciated. Gold Star is Gold Star and I do love it so. It's a Cincinnati chain featuring the Greek recipe of uniquely seasoned Greek chili on spaghetti (3-Way, 4-Way, 5-Way) and hot dogs (Coneys) so it's going to be pretty consistent across the board when it comes to the food. What makes this particular location special is the customer service. Any time I'm in the area I stop in during lunch and it's always PACKED! People love their Coneys and it shows, even in Northern Kentucky. It doesn't take long to prepare the food and the staff here really knows how to get people in and out fast. They can also accommodate vegetarians (believe it or not) with veggie burritos, Veggie Chili 3-Way, fries and salads. Cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, Double Decker sandwiches featuring Blue Grass Quality deli meat and even ice cream milkshakes round off the menu for those who don't dig on dogs and noodles. A Kid's Menu pleases those who like hot dogs, corndogs and chicken strips and fries while games and toys on the counter keep them occupied while watching the open kitchen assemble their food. Forewarning, they sell mints, misc. candy and sometimes brownies at the register where you have to pay when you're done so watch out for the little ones who love their sweets! read more

Overpriced, small coneys taste ok but not worth the price.

First time for Gold Star Chili for us. Really good bacon double cheese burger and loaded chili cheese fries, ingredients were fresh and good and not skimped on. Slightly higher than some fast food, but we ate in and were waited on and served on plates rather than paper wrappers on trays. Worth a little more than "mc-burgers". read more

I went through the drive thru. The cashier was quick to answer over to ask me what I wanted. Although I was in line with three other vehicles. I was not given a total and nothing came up on the screen for me to see what I was ordering. I usually just take for granted that they hear me correctly and pray that I'm getting the right thing. Today was very unfortunate. I had ordered a cheese fries with a regular sweet tea. When I pulled up to the window, Brandy, told me my total was $8 and some change. I was never given a receipt so I'm not really sure what I ordered. What I received was a large sweet tea and a order of chili cheese fries. I never have any luck when I go there and Order and I understand I'm going to a chili place and not getting Chili but it's still very upsetting to not be waited on like he want to be. Great family restaurant and great fresh food! Best restaurant in Maysville. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They even have table top games for the kids! Also I highly recommend the backyard burger. It's not really advertised but it is seriously one the best burgers I've ever had. read more
