Stopped by the Augusta Pub after a visit to nearby Baker-Bird Winery on fall Saturday late afternoon. We were greeted and seated right away. We started with appetizer of the Pub Fries and Saratoga chips and then reviewed the menu ended up going with black & blue burger and rueben. The fries were hot right out of the oven and enjoyed the seasoning, delicious! When our main dish came out the rueben looked amazing, definitely worth the trip for the rueben, the burger was okay, had better at other pubs across the region. When you're in Augusta stop by the Irish Pub for a great rueben and pub fries.

This place is really cute with a good selection of hard to find reasonably priced bourbons. Loved the game room with 3 pool tables and the nice big outdoor patio. We had a very nice server and the food came out quickly. We will be back!

Great atmosphere, food, and music. Right next to the Ohio river. Recommend getting the signature pub fries. Bartender is very friendly.

If you just want to drink, the Pub is fine. If you look rich or important, the Pub is fine. Otherwise, don't bother.

The wealth of knowledge with both Austin, our Bartender and Dave, Owner, is amazing. Thanks to them, we walked out of there quite happy with our tastings. With the huge selection of Bourbon, right in front of us, we were able to ask questions about any bottle we spotted on the shelf. We gained a lot more information about Bourbon. THANK YOU Austin & Dave !!! Yes, we will stop here EVERY TIME we travel to Frankfort, KY. Hoping it won't be another 2 yrs.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. The staff provided great whiskey conversation and shared so much interesting history about the community and the distillery. It really made the tasting feel personal and special. We had the opportunity to sample an incredible lineup: * Weller 12 * Rip Van Winkle 10yr * Castle & Key Rye * Peerless Double Oak * Benson Valley Bourbon Every pour was smooth, flavorful, and clearly high quality. The pours were generous and the explanations for each one added so much depth. If you're into whiskey (or just good conversation and local history), HOC is a must-stop. We left smiling and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend! Thanks again to the team at HOC -- you turned a closed door into one of the highlights of our road trip!

You can either walk through the gun center or enter at the rear / side of the building. Either way it is a bit of a walk so could be a concern for anyone with mobility issues. I was surprised that there were not any disabled parking spots close to the side entrance. It's a large lounge, upscale and beautifully decorated though does not have an intimate feel. Majority of seating is tables vs. bar. The cocktail menu is unique and fun, with the different drinks named after famous and infamous gunslingers. I had a Baby Face Nelson which was attractive and delicious. At first I though it was a little weak but towards the end it hit with a bang (see what I did there). I also took advantage of the ladies night menu and got a $5 cucumber mint G&T. The cocktail pricing is what you'd expect, ranging from $12 to $16. The wine list is not extensive and I would not describe this as a wine bar. But, I would come here seeking a fancy cocktail anyway. No food served, but door dash menus are available and there is also a limited menu for direct delivery from the Indian restaurant across the road. The outdoor patio looks nice. We were there on the earlier side, around 5 PM on a weekday. Service was pretty attentive with only one waitress handling the tables. I think if they found a way to serve some simple appetizers and put in a railing along the walkway from the parking lot to the door (thinking of my husband here) I'd give it five stars. They have a weird rule in that they insist on scanning your ID, regardless of age, up until 7 PM any day - this is so that no one who orders a drink can go next door and shoot (where they also scan IDs). The shooting range closes at 7 PM. So shoot first, drink later.
