This deli was so nice to eat at in the morning. I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with home fries and it was so delicious. HORRIBLE. DON'T GO THERE. We were in Westhampton around lunch time and decided to eat at Goldberg's. What a mistake. My wife ordered a salad and I ordered a grilled chicken wrap and with a couple of waters came to over $50. But the cost wasn't even the issue. The chicken in my wrap was cold and the cheese wasn't melted. It's not hard to cook a chicken wrap but if you take it off the grill before anything gets hot its really bad. Ok so I'm moving on thinking I messed up and ordered the wrong thing. Before we leave I head for the bathroom as my hands are all sticky from the cold chicken dripping on them and I want to wash up. It seems occupied as there is an indicator on the door. I wait about 5 minutes and then I jiggle the handle on the door once to make sure there really is someone in the bathroom and if there is, to let them know someone is waiting. In my view at a busy crowded fast food type restaurant like Goldberg, long stays in the one bathroom for all could be considered a bit selfish. Ok so after I jiggle the door once I wait a few more minutes and who pops out but the woman from behind the counter who took my order and didn't know how to make a chicken wrap. I was flabbergasted when she rudely and loudly says to me that if the indicator says its occupied then it is. So she was annoyed I jiggled the door handle once? Seriously? There's one bathroom for everyone, why were you in there for 10 minutes during a peak period? And you talk to a customer like that? You need to get a life. Looking at the many other negative reveiws here seems bad manners, bad food and bad service are the norm for this Goldberg's. I will definitely avoid my next time in Westhampton. read more

Overwhelmingly underwhelmed. Nova Lox platter should be renamed a sliced tomato platter over a little lox with a filler of shredded iceberg lettuce. Overstuffed deli sandwich was all bread with a little deli meat. To add insult to injury, the ingredients were worse than a supermarket deli counter but cost $50. Never again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are also plenty of tables to sit at, and the place is very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I hadn't had whitefish in a while, so I ordered an everything bagel with whitefish and lettuce. I grabbed a hot coffee which I found out came free with my bagel...but when I saw the total I was pretty shocked. My sandwich came to $17. Looking at the board, I could've just purchased whitefish for $6.75 for 1/4 pound, plus my bagel for a few dollars more and saved there. I'm used to things being more expensive out here but damn, that one hurt. Regardless, service was quick, people were friendly, my bagel was packed with whitefish and lettuce and the bagel itself was warm and delicious. You get what you pay for, I guess. read more

Horrible experience this morning 8/3 The cashier was a little on the nasty side she gave 3 of the wrong orders to the wrong people and acted like it was our fault. The other people left and then had to drive back. My change was $2.50 She gave me $2.20 I would not mind,but she was soo nasty,I corrected her and she said sorry we are short on change. Really and also an older gentleman was taking orders orders for friends as others waited on the long line. To describe our visit over the weekend: horrendous. If I could give this a 0 star, I would have. To start with, the person taking our order was impatient and seemed bothered we had questions about the menu. Ultimately, she got 2 out of our 4 orders wrong. We would have gone back inside to try to correct them, but.... From the time we ordered to the time we got our food, it took 25 minutes!! It's not like we ordered a lot: a toasted bagel (that wasn't) and 3 sandwiches (one of which had a completely different dressing than what we asked for). Had we gone back, who knows how much longer it would have been...and from previous reviews, it sounds as if that would not have been received well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And it's not like it was all that crowded. Only a couple of people ahead of us, so a 25 minute wait for a few sandwiches was unacceptable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To make matters worse: the cost! If we were weren't so hungry from having waited so long, we would have left the food there and just walked out once the grumpy cashier told us how much it was. Stopped by for lunch on the way to visit friends. We were struck by the warm vibe of the place. The couple behind the counter were lovely and chatted with the many regulars who passed through. The food was OK. My wife liked her Greek wrap. I had tuna on a bagel. I'm a bagel snob and found Goldberg's offering to be mediocre. Even though we stayed for our meal, there were no plates or trays offered. Not the bagels of the gods, but a solid place. Extra credit: A college classmate worked at the original location in Queens in the 1970's and gave me a striped Goldberg's shirt, which is long departed. read more

I think this location is not part of the Goldbergs chain out in the Hamptons. The employees are miserable (just was there on 03/13/25) overpriced, mediocre food, bagels I give a 3 out of 10. Goldberg's Famous is the BEST! I ordered catered sandwiches and salads for a large group and the quality was top-notch and delicious! Everyone from the owner, Craig, to the servers is smart, attentive and helpful. They took care of me and made sure everything was prepared following dietary restrictions. Went to open the door of Westhampton's only bagel place. Closed! Monday's. Checked in outside then couldn't open the door. Where am I going to get whitefish and everything bagel. I don't see driving to Mattituck. And I don't know about the volume of whitefish done in East Quogue or Hampton Bays. So not too sure worth the drive east. Okay here goes- the chicken salad and egg sandwich's, bagels were good, it's WestHampton for god sake, you rightfully expect good bagels and bagel type foods - what was horrible is how slow this place is- glacial is too fast. We went twice, both times waited 40 -45 minutes from walking in to getting food , the line was not that long at all maybe 6 people each day- but so slooooow. So slow in fact that we needed ice because the drinks i grabbed while waiting in line were room temperature by the time food came. First of all, this place is in no way affiliated with Goldberg's Famous Bagels--which has outposts in East Quogue, Riverhead, Southampton, Etc. Don't think you are getting those Goldberg's Famous Bagels high quality bagels & spreads here. Although the tuna is decent. This place has yet to get my order correct, and the owners (yes that rude woman at the register that EVERYONE complains about is the owner) could not be nastier. Don't even consider mentioning that your order is wrong to them. I finally decided to vote with my wallet and never to return to this mediocre eatery. If you're looking for alternatives, there's Goldbergs in East Quogue or Bagels and Brunch in Eastport. Schmidt's in Quogue also has great bagels and Bacon Egg Cheese and cute little tables out front or you can sit at picnic benches across the street. read more

Admittedly I was there at what is likely the busiest time of their year - Labor Day Weekend. The food is good. But their prices are ridiculously high. Even for a Hampton. They charge $6.50 for a plain iced tea. And forgot my requested lemon. $6.50? There is at most $1.50 worth of ingredients in that 20oz cup. Including the cup, top and straw. I am all for small business owners making a fair wage, but that feels practically criminal. $13.95 for a tuna fish sandwich on a bagel. Plus they charged $3.00 to add a slice of tomato and onion to a sandwich. If they were more reasonably priced I would have given them a great review, and I would be a much more frequent - and happier - customer. read more

Came here for breakfast. I ordered an egg and cheese on a whole wheat everything bagel; very good! My husband ordered a veggie omelet (average) with a hash brown. The hash brown was greasy and premade. Somehow the bill was $28. The woman behind the counter was not very friendly. I went back to get the bagel that came with the omelet. I said doesn't it come with the omelet and she said if you want. I asked for a raisin bagel and confirmed when she handed it to me. She said, no you said sesame. She was visibly annoyed and grabbed the raisin bagel. Would come here to grab a quick bagel, otherwise, prefer the bakery down the road. read more

Been coming here for 10 years because it's the only bagel spot in town. Idc that they charge $12 for a bacon egg and cheese and $7 for a coffee. But the woman owner is a scam artist. She over charges everyone every single time. I haven't gone here once and not had to say "hey, you over charged us by $5-$15". Then she freaks out and yells at you, says she's the owner and then when you hve to break down your bill and show her how she's wrong she throws your card back at you and says to stop coming back. This has happened multiple occasions lol. I still come back I think just to call her out on her scam in front of everyone. Today's over charge was $30 for 6 bagels that cost $1.95 each. read more

This was truly one of the most upsetting experiences I've ever had with an eating establishment. Came to Westhampton, and feel I have to clarify that this was Goldberg's Westhampton specifically since there a few nearby. Craig and Laura are the owners to make this more specific. Came in with friends and ordered food that totaled out to $60, when we got to the cash register, Laura charged us $90- which was obviously shocking. We asked for an itemized receipt and she got extremely angry with us, refusing to explain why we were being charged so much higher. She would not give us a receipt, would not agree to split the bill among the four of us, and chastised us for inquiring. We ended up doing the math with Craig, and it came out to $60 as we first thought. He looked at Laura and was like... "what else did you charge them for?" wherein she got nervous/defensive and threw a $10 bill at us, storming away. It was incredibly awkward. Don't get me wrong, Craig is a super nice guy and we had a lovely chat... but it all kind of fell flat when we got swindled so hard. Had to put this warning out there- make sure you ask for a receipt and are certain with how they're charging you. I must say I seldom write reviews, but this place wasn't worth it, it is quite expensive. I had a tofu cream cheese bagel, there was literally no spread, pretty much as little as could be put on something to qualify for a taste . I would have taken it back to ask why but just thought I would not go there again. The bagel itself was also tasteless and chewy. Bagels are good, breakfast sandwich was mildly warm (even though no line on a Monday at 10am). I'm from eastern LI and understand the culture, but the service was indeed an issue. Moody teens taking orders and running the register are not ideal, and the old gentleman running the show was no better. I get how NY people are, straight to the point, no fluff, but you're running a restaurant here in a tourist town. People aslo complained about prices. These people have to recognize you're buying a begal sandwich in Westhampton... Not at the fisherman's deli in mastic beach or a strip mall in Seldon. There's gonna be a mark up. $20 for two egg bagels and coffee wasn't totally outrageous. All that said, I'd go back because the bagels were good and the location was convenient. But as to the service, step your game up... It's pretty easy. Say hello, say thank you. Just a thought. read more
