First of all - special recognition for the really nice people that work here. July 5th was an expected madhouse, and Whitney's - through no fault of their own - is understaffed. The jerks who were loudly complaining and canceling their order because it was taking too long should get a new life. The staff handled it calmly and professionally. Ordered breakfast to my work place and a worker (frank) came into my place of work to drop it off and made a comment to me about how he's losing weight because of all the sex he's having . That is seriously Inappropriate and saying that to me in my place of work. Also when he comes he doesnt leave until he gets tipped if it's no already done on the card . Rude rude rude. The only saving grace was the woman's granddaughter who attempted to make up for her nasty grandmother who was serving customers. We atleast got a smile and a thank you from her! The prices are also extremely steep. We got two bagels with cream cheese, a water and a gatorade-it was over $15! Excellent deli that is usually less crowded than those in town. Breakfast sandwiches are awesome, as are the sandwiches (which come with two welcome thick slices of dill pickle wrapped in). This is also where to go for great rolls when you're making your own at home. read more

Given that I live in New York City its very surprising that the best deli I've ever been to is in Westhampton Beach near the airport. We've been there now 3 times and every time there is a fresh turkey waiting for us. Also many salads and lots of Italian dishes. Although it is slightly expensive ( hence 4 stars instead of 5), I come back every week. Sometimes two times a week. Being from California I didn't really know what to order here especially since there is no menu. So I started trying everything. What I learned is that they will make you any type of sandwich with the stuff they have on hand and all their salads are delicious. But the best things I have had are the eggplant Parmesan and the fresh roast turkey (both plain or on a roll). What really makes this place great is that it is comfortable. The prices are reasonable, the food is solid. Be prepared with a little extra time if you go during lunchtime or breakfast because the line might be long. This is a place to skip. I ate the saddest looking egg white wrap I've ever seen. Didn't get salt, pepper and ketchup like I asked on top of it being minuscule. My friend got a chicken ciabatta sandwich and he said it wasn't good either. Nice selection of food. However when I ordered grilled chicken, lettuce & tomato...only...on a roll, I found it was drenched in mayo on both sides of the roll when I got to the ferry. Chicken was bland too. Girl should have asked if I wanted mayo instead of assuming I did. read more

I would have given it more stars, but since Frank left, it has gone down hill. Frank was great!!!!! Always got the order right, so friendly, just a really nice guy. The salads and cold cuts have gone down hill. The roast beef which used to be great, is stringy and tough, the same with the chicken salad.
