We came from far to come look at a silver S2000 which has amazing pictures on their website. You couldn't see any dents or scratches on the pictures, which I now realize were kind of overexposed. He was kind enough to get the car out of the maze of cars he has. We get there, there are several dents on the car all around, front lip was broken in half on the underside and hanging, there was a disgusting smell coming from the trunk, and some areas like the mirror covers were going to need paint. There was some bubbled paint on the interior of the hood and engine bay near the radiator. There is a literal crack in the front bumper or fender beside the hood. The honesty wasn't there in the listing. We test drove it, it ran very nice. But on top of all that, he wouldn't come down on his price. He just stood on top of his stairs looking down and shook his head no. So when we let him know we no longer were interested in it, he took it around the corner and RIPPED on it and drove it back after 10 minutes while we were looking for our next S2000. I asked if this car had been in any accidents before I bought it and they told me no, but when I ran the car fax on it I found out it had an accident prior that caused damage to the whole entire car! When I told them I wanted to return it and get my deposit back they said I had probably caused it to break down on my way home from the dealership! When they finally agreed to take back the car and cancel my loan they made me pay $500 in return fees and some other bullshit. On Sunday of that week I emailed the dealer asking if the car was still available and if I could make an appointment to test drive it. I emailed with a few follow up questions about who I was asking to speak to and what time was best for the dealer, I recieved no response. On Monday afternoon (about 3pm) I called the dealer and was told the car was still there and that my appointment was ready and that I could come anytime, and that if there were any changes to the car or appointment I would be notified. To me this is all normal and proper behavior for a used car dealership to exibit, given that buying a car is a big financial decisions for people like me who want to make sure they look at and drive the car before they buy.s Tuesday rolls around and me and my father drive the 60 mile mile to get to the dealer. Upon our arrival, we were greeted and when we inquired about the car, we were told it was sold the day before. The day I took off work was essentially a waste. A business that has the ability to communicate with a customer should do so. I understand they don't hold cars but an email saying so, to keep me from wasting my time, gas, and money does not take long to send. I don't really post reviews for Yelp but when I do I usually have many nice things to say. This fraud stealer has gone way too far. I am a California resident but currently working outer state, so I had to buy a car site unseen. Chris, who sold me the car told me the car was clean title and never had an accident. He told me it would cost them too much to register the car in Ca even though my hone and my license is from Ca. He told me I better off figure it out and register at my working State. That's fine. After I made my payments I have never given an updates on delivery, despite my efforts trying to reach Chris or the manager EVERYDAY for 2 weeks until the delivery man called me when he was just 3 hour away. The delivery man was extremely angry because he was not getting paid by the dealer and refused to hand me the car for 2 hours. But that's not it, upon starting, the car made a loud clicking sound so I turned it right off. I checked the dipstick it had NO oil! I bought 2 quarts of 5w30 and filled them in and it's only half way on the dip stick (level ground) I was terrified by that time but my house is only 10minutes away so I decided to drive slowly home. The car vibrates in the rear end and I found out it has 2 bent rims. Later I found out it had a major accident, which I was never told. After I sent the dealership a picture of the dipstick, they stopped picking up my calls (both Chris and the main line) I had to use my wife's phone and finally they sent a service person to talk to me but kept trying to convincing me they did all the service and I was checking the oil wrong. When I asked for the service records they said the person is off that time. Sure, the person is OFF everyday of the week, great. I tried to call them everyday but it was extremely difficult to talk to either a sales person or a manager. After I sent them the picture I was never able to talk to Chris, or the manger ever again. I was kicked between a service guy and the front desk. Couple days later when I finally decided to drive out and at least get an oil change/full inspection done at Infiniti dealership. The car has no working A/C, and there's a extremely loud wind noise when driving on the highway. I just don't feel safe to drive this car at all and there's now a 6000 dollar service bill waiting for me to pay. read more

I must say, the buying experience was good, the employees and my salesman Agustin were kind and courteous, but I suppose it ended up being a facade for the poor car I was sold. September 2018 I purchased a 2013 MAZDASPEED3, the car from near the get go was riddled with issues.culminating 7 months later when the engine began knocking terribly from a spun bearing in the crankshaft. Mind you when I paid what I'd call a premium price for the car based on the market value. The reason for this was because I was assured the car had a new engine put in and with proper maintenance it would last me a good long while. Going in order the car began throwing me check engine lights for misfires, I took it to a mechanic and he advised it was likely due to the aftermarket intake installed on the car. The intake had a cheap autozone MAF sensor as well so I had both of those replaced and and thought it would be fine. Then I find out the bypass tube had a leak and replace the tube. While I'm looking at the car the bypass value I find was missing its gasket buy and fix that too. Well as of this point I've been taking it easy on the car as I was breaking in the engine. Now I changed the oil a few thousand miles later and am trying to hit boost on the car but it wont boost past 5psi (should be up to 15psi). I take it to a mechanic again and after he inspects it he shows me it has the wrong turbo on the car. It had some cheap Chinese turbo that had began to break itself apart getting metal fragments of the turbine all along the boost lines as far as the throttle body. The stock turbo is a K04 turbo charger, the serial number on the one installed has Part # 2N-751. The turbo fixed the car now sputtered in boost. It seemed the mechanic that put the car together used the wrong spark plugs too... those were swapped out as well. While the mechanic was under the hood he lets me know that the car was put together wrong, the bypass value had the wrong lines being routed to it as well and he fixed it. Not only that but the exhaust area was missing ALL of its heat shields. Those things were all fixed and I'm upset now but the car is running now so I continue, low and behold the passenger motor mount cracks, so I have that replaced quickly. Well the car a month later starts making a knock... I check if the mount was possibly loose or broken again but low and behold, the I find out the engine spun a bearing and a rod is knocking... I am incline to believe the engine was the biggest issues but rather the people that put it together, those working at Golden Auto Group. But was it them trying to save a few hundred bucks and not put it back together as it should or genuine incompetence in the way it was assembled. I would think the latter. It would be irresponsible and dangerous to purchase a vehicle fro. Them, when the engine gave out I was dring to the mechanic on the freeway and suddenly no throttle response. I could not advise anyone to purchase a car from them in good faith. If my vehicle is a testament to their quality of work it is horrible. More vehemently, I love the Mazdaspeed platform and to anyone looking for this car in particular, look elsewhere. It is a finicky car and to think incapable people were under there hoods, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Giving them 1 star is far too generous in my opinion, I cant express my distaste and frustration nearly enough. No cost to own tool could adequately calculate the underlying price of buying a car from them! read more

Despite reading the negative reviews beforehand, I gave them a shot and I had a pretty good experience here. If they have a car you want here and you are on the fence about this place, read my whole review. You need to know cars well and have reasonable expectations before you come here. Long story short I have been looking for a 6 speed manual Audi S5 with lower miles for a few months now. Golden Auto Group had one that just came in per Autotrader. Judging by the cars they have for sale here Golden Auto specializes in dealing with higher end, performance oriented cars which is cool and right up my alley. Living in San Diego over an hour away and knowing certain cars move fast, I asked if they could take a deposit over the phone to hold the car for one day. They said no they only do 1st come 1st serve. Ok fine so I drove up there 1st thing the next morning. I dealt with Augustin, no complaints whatsoever He was pretty cool and personable. The condition of the car was somewhat disappointing as there were a lot of scratches, chips and paint defects. The front rotors were badly worn and the tires were probably about 30% life. There was also a slight oil leak from valve cover gaskets. There was also a warning light on the dash that automatic headlights and windshield wipers were malfunctioning. There were no user manuals and only 1 key. Like all used car dealers these cars come from auctions and have been sitting in lots for a while or transported around the country a bit, they aren't going to be perfect! You have to have realistic expectations buying an auction car. If you want something that better quality you will have to get CPO from a dealership and expect to pay signifigantly more for it. You also have to understand that some of these cars might need things fixed right away despite them being "new" to you. Also if you don't already know, higher end performance oriented cars need more maintenance and cost significantly more to own than a plain Jane Honda or Kia. Make sure both you and your bank account are OK with this! Test drove the car and it ran pretty mint other than needing an allignment, I decided quickly I would pull the trigger on it. Augustin didn't try to pressure me one bit which I appreciated. These guys know they don't need to be pushy as these higher end cars sell themselves. Since this all happened so quickly, I decided to use their financing in house to make things easier to sign and drive that morning. Even though I have 800 credit, high income and put 5k down on the 20k car I only got a 5.99% rate which isn't good but apparently that's the best they offer. Not a deal breaker by any means as I can always refinance with my credit union. If your credit and income situation is different I would highly suggest going through a credit union or you won't like Golden Auto's rates. Augustin wouldn't negotiate on the price of the car but it was OK because it's a rare car (In manual transmission) and I wanted it. Honestly it was priced fairly for its condition and mileage. He also tried to sell me gap insurance and a warranty but I shut him down on those pretty quickly and he got the hint not wanting to lose a sale. I used to sell vehicles and I know gap insurance and warranties are huge profit makers while offering little for the customer. Extended warranties are usually a PITA to try and use as they fight to pay out for repairs. You may decide you want those things but I didn't. I also knew by reading reviews they mandate the installation and sale of a theft patrol GPS system for $1000 or whatever. Again I didn't love this fact but it wasn't a deal breaker because I wanted the car and the theft patrol app is actually pretty cool. If I didn't know about the theft patrol system being mandatory before hand I might have been upset but like I said I did my research and wanted the car. About 6 weeks and 2500 miles later I have 0 issues with the car and it runs mint after an Alignment and new front brakes. Auto headlights and wipers don't work but I can live with that. I also had to pay about $600 for a 2nd key from Audi. The car wasn't perfect and some of Golden Auto Groups policies weren't ideal but I'm still very glad I bought the car. Long story short , my friend purchased a car a Mercedes' to be exact , months later he couldn't register a car because the SMOG was never done , it took them 8 MONTHS to take care of it. When we returned the following day to finalize the purchase, another salesperson, Augustine, attempted numerous markups from what had been previously discussed, and we walked away disappointed and prepared to leave a terrible review. What saved our experience at Golden was the fantastic response from the manager, Chris, and our first salesman, Rafael. When we reached out, Chris apologized profusely for our bad experience, then went to work making it right, returning to our original agreed deal, and even delivering the vehicle to our home with all of the paperwork, and with a full tank of gas. I'm on the hunt for a TSX or TL with a manual trans, while browsing Facebook I see a 2010 TL with a lot of miles (131K) but it's a manual and it's an AWD so I was intrigued, i tried to message the dealer via Facebook and instead got an edmunds representative. I decided to look up the car online and found it at a dealership about an hour and some change from my house. I called the dealer to set up a test drive for later today and I spoke with the salesman Agustin, he tried to pitch me on how the rare the car was etc....I told him I wasn't interested in driving all the way from Burbank to corona to come back empty handed so I made them a VERY fair offer. Cash money ready to take it off their hands, he started stuttering and gave me some excuse about how the car was originally 13K and it's been dropped down to the current price of 10K.... He was also a bit rude when he mentioned their pricing being lower than most cars on car gurus and that's why I'm calling him...no I'm calling you because I want a manual car not because your pricing is amazing. Any who I repeat to him again that I want to make an offer and he says they don't take offers on the car. Incredible...so I mention the fact that I found the car on Facebook and it's been THREE MONTHS (3) that's 90 days that the car has been for sale with no buyers. Perhaps it's that same transmission that's making this a hard sale, Agustin asks me how much I have down and again I repeat to him that I'm a cash buyer, I offer them 9500 out the door on a car they have advertised for 10,000. He tells me to wait and comes back and says something about the 10,000 being the cash price because of what they have into it blah blah blah.
