Then they told me to turn around and go back through the long line because they had to make their "TIME". I ended up leaving instead of waiting in the long line. I love Golden Chick. But twice now I've not gotten my entire order in the drive thru. And there is nothing more frustrating about fast food than to get home and be missing something I paid for!! Today I drove all the way back...and they were nice enough to give me the fries. And I'm sorry...but when YOU mess up my order, I expect more than what I've paid for. And I'm extremely angry that I have to ask if you're going to "make it right" besides giving me something I ALREADY PAID FOR. And maybe an "I'm sorry"...but I never even got that. I have to say I go here at least twice a week for the last year and every single time I have gone I have been met with exceptional service! Coming from a customer service job myself, I feel that it is important to acknowledge when good employees are found. I have always been met with friendliness and swiftness! I'm just going to put this out there, Golden Chick is crap. First and foremost their restrooms are Out of order so you can't wash your dirty pecker tongs before you eat. Then I ordered what I was led to believe was chicken wings. Judging from this drummet bone it was either from a canary or they are raising Midget chickens. The batter was so damn hard and crunchy it exploded like shrapnel as you took a bite sending spicy seasoning airborne and in my eyes. That's my fault, I should've had on my eye protection. I can only assume this is what it would be like to eat a pine cone with no sauce. I've literally had better fried chicken from a Kid's Cuisine frozen dinner. Golden Chick you suck. read more

Golden Chic (Mesquite Location) The chicken is good but more than half the time my order is incorrect and I have to go back to the counter to get it corrected, which causes me some frustration. Some staff needs extra training on parts of the chicken! There doesn't seem to be a flow of any sort with the drive through either. I've been asked to "wait" more than once right before ordering. We went to Golden Chick on I-30 and Bobtown . At this time it's only drive thru because of the coronavirus . There was a long line but it moved very fast . The chicken was delicious and the flavor was into the meat not just the crust . It was juicy not dry and everything was hot not like it had been cooked a long time earlier . I went thru the drive thru and purchased a large order with large sides. I was told my order was gonna be a bit longer so they had me pull up and park in front of the store. They brought me my food and I left, when I arrived home, I discovered that they left out the 2 larges sides. I was so upset. I live in Rowlett and stopped there on the way home. I called their number that evening and for days after but still no one has answered. I will never to to this place again. I paid an extra $8 plus tax for those sides. They're always in such a hurry to get you out of there that they don't do their jobs right. Utensils to eat with would be nice, napkins even. I went here 12 days ago and ordered $50 in food for my family. When I got home the Lg Mac and Cheese was half full and very OLD .. Only 1 of the 2 Lg Mashed potatoes was full the other only had 1 scoop in it. The family tenders we ordered was full of bits and pieces. I am genuinely upset and disappointed with this location and it's management. I purchased $39 worth of chicken for a study group that meets on Sunday. The following day I realized they had overcharged my credit card. I located my receipt and verified the overcharge. After several attempts to contact the restaurant by phone, all ignored, so I drove to the location to speak with the manager in person. With receipt and bank statement in hand, I asked for a manager. Two people later I was approached by Claudia who stated she was the General Manager. Her only response, repeated response, was this was between me and my bank. When I indicated that I would escalate the complaint to corporate she laughed and all but dared me to do so. She completed this lack of customer service by explaining that corporate will only turn the complaint back over to her and her answer will be the same. If this is the policy of Golden Chicken then they have lost my business across the board. read more

For one this establishments tenders are NOT the same as the others. They are always skinny,thin and barely any chicken. Other locations I've been to have plump chicken tenders. I kept going to this location thinking that maybe I kept getting a bad batch or whatever the reason might have been. But I actually took it to a whole different level. I went to 2 different locations and compared apple to apple. The gravy at this location is more watered down. The mashed potatoes have a bland watery taste to them. The chicken barely has any meat. The crunch on the chicken tastes stale. There is barely any spice when we order spicy strips. We ask for the zang sauce they charge us 25 cents. I'm not very happy with this location. read more
