Today, on a trip back home from Uvalde to the Corpus Christi area, for lack of an actual fast-food restaurant besides McDonalds, we unfortunately made the quick decision to stop at this Whataburger and ordered via the drive thru. We ordered 1 Number 1 with cheese, no tomatoes, extra veggies with mustard and mayo. What we got was a Number 1 with Tomatoes. The mustard was only at the bottom of the sandwich. The sandwich was warm at best and the french fries were much worse as to temperature for 11:02 am. We (my wife) also ordered 1 Number 1 with cheese, ketchup and pickles only. We made the order, and she repeated it two more times as the young lady was apparently bound and determined to have mayo put on it. Apparently, she may have got confused with Mayo and Ketchup, or maybe it was their similar colors? Well, when my wife got her burger, it had Mayo and Pickles. No Ketchup and Pickles only. Again Maybe "MAYO" AND "KETCHUP" sound the same even after stating it 3 times? She also requested hot/crispy french fries. The French Fries were literally barely warm, more than likely because they were pre-cooked and set under a warming light. it's understandable that everyone makes mistakes, I get that but sometimes you have to stop and ask, what is going on! Mayo for Ketchup, No Tomatoes for Tomatoes. Warm as opposed to hot. Made YOUR way! They need to try and make it MY way, not theirs. They either don't know how to do their job or really don't care. I think it may be a little bit of both. This is the very reason after spending over $21.00 bucks and get the poor food quality/preparation that is why we swore off Whataburger. Probably should have got a taco at the local gas station. I don't know about anyone else, but $21.00 dollars is $21.00 dollars. I earned my money and worked hard for it. I want the same in return, $21.00 dollars' worth of food as it was ordered. Poor Form Whataburger! Literacy, basic understanding of how to do a job is necessary even with taking orders/preparing food for customers. Secondly, Hey management. Try "Pay for Performance" . Us older people had to do that, or we had to look for work elsewhere. Oh well, shame on us, as we stayed away from Whataburger based on this. We very well should have stayed away from this location for sure. An experience at MacDonalds would have been a lot better. Do what you want, we however are done with Whataburger.

The food is never good, we're often missing items, and sometimes it's not even fully cooked. It's just overall disappointing and, at times, disgusting. And that job lets me still run the roads sometimes and the best part is all the little towns I go thru. This time I was passing thru Pleasanton, Tx. And lunch time. A quick search of Yelp and I was pulling in the parking lot of Cafe Chris. A chic name for a good small town restaurant. A lot of reviews mentioned the chicken fried steak and I haven't had one in a long time. So I went with the CFS sandwich thinking it would be smaller, as I'd already seen a few delivered to tables. So I was wrong. The sandwich has the same CFS just on Texas toast. First it's huge. Second it's not all breading. There's a lot of meat under that fried layer of batter. I immediately got a to-go box. Dinner for later. It was an awesome meal. Got some cream gravy for a little dipping sauce. And the dinner later was oh so good. Can't wait until the next trip thru. The customer service was unacceptable…read more Our experience at Cafe Chris in Pleasanton was extremely disappointing, and honestly, the customer service was the worst part. I had an issue with my chicken-fried steak that I was sharing with my sister, so I sent it back to be replaced. No big deal mistakes happen, and I was completely understanding about that. What was NOT okay was what happened afterward. While we were waiting, the cooks repeatedly looked over at us and laughed. Whether they were laughing about us or not, that is how it came across, and it made us extremely uncomfortable. The waiter's tone and attitude only made the situation worse. Then the owner started talking to us from across the room, which caused other customers to look over. When she finally came over, we explained calmly how the situation made us feel. Instead of simply acknowledging our concern, she responded by saying, "Well, I told the chef not to laugh and not enjoy their time and work." That response completely missed the point. Nobody was asking the employees to not enjoy working. We were asking for basic professionalism and respect toward customers. Then there was the bill. The main item was removed, but we were still charged for the side, and the pricing did not add up correctly. For the prices being charged, I expected much better service and attention to detail. And honestly, the part that pushed this experience over the edge was being told by the owner not to "spread" this or tell other people about what happened. If you don't want customers sharing their experiences, the answer isn't to tell them to stay quiet it's to handle the situation better in the first place. I wasn't looking for an argument or trying to cause a scene. I simply expected to eat my meal, have a normal customer experience, and leave. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable, blamed, and disappointed. Food can be fixed. A bad order can be replaced. But the way you treat your customers is what people remember. I would not return based on this experience, and I hope management takes the feedback seriously.

Girl on the intercom says they are out of sour cream (here we go). I tell her that's fine and finish my order and pull up to the window. I didn't wait have to wait very long which was nice. I watched the girl fill up my soda and noticed the suspiciously "flat" appearance. After she handed me the drink I tasted it and sure enough, FLAT. So I informed her it was flat and asked for something else. After looking at me like I just asked her a question in some old dead language, I asked for a Pepsi instead. And what do you know, FLAT. Not in the mood to deal with her anymore, I pull around and go inside and inform them that the Pepsi is flat too. So I ask if the dining area machine runs on the same system as the drive thru and this girl shrugs her shoulders. Ok, no big deal. I walk over to the dining area machine and guess what? The drink tastes like it's supposed to! WOW! This location is constantly (or conveniently) "out" of this or that. As long as I live here, I will NEVER, support this terrible franchise and actively warn others visiting to steer clear. You can't run a business in a small town in this way and expect to survive. Do better. In conclusion, this is definitely the WORST ran Taco Bell in the history of Taco Bells.
