They close at 9pm. My boyfriend and I ordered around 8:30pm a little late yes... we didn't order much but we had a long day and we were starving. Our chicken was rock hard and no flavor, whatever. I have only eaten here a couple of times but each time has been very tasty with lost of sauce and flavor.. You get a lot of rice which we don't eat a lot of but the prices are very reasonable.. Tonight we had the curry beef and the orange chicken with crab ragoons. Beef curry great curry flavor and a good kick, unfortunately it had mushrooms in it and there were a LOT of them and we do not eat mushrooms. We picked them out and had half a plate, (I wish they would say on the menu what was in each plate) Orange chicken was pretty good, could use little more spice but had good flavor.. My sister had the chicken and shrimp with garlic sauce last evening. We thought it was pretty good until she woke up during the night nauseated. We both had the Hot and Sour Soup and some appetizers none of which bothered me so are assuming it is the chicken and shrimp that got her. service was great as was the ambiance with lots of big screens. The GD serves it fast! Call in and have food on your table 15 minutes later. I love going a little off menu for the Mongolian Chicken. Fresh bits of chicken, large pieces of white and green onion, and just the right amount of red pepper. They are generous with portions and the meal is tasty and filling. I love the food here!! When I pick up dinner for my partner and I, we usually get 2 meals and some egg rolls to share. It's always less than $20, which I think is a bargain considering how great the food is. We get sweet n sour chicken and Mongolian beef and then split the egg rolls. Personally, the egg rolls are my favorite, followed by the sweet and sour chicken. My partner prefers the Mongolian beef followed by the egg rolls. When we place our order over the phone, it's always ready within 15 minutes and the staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

Have eaten there twice a week for 20 years. until the new ownership took over have never had a bad meal there. Now the new owners changed everything for the worse. The chicken was like rubber, gave them a second chance with an order of sweet and sour shrimp. it was even worse. They should not be able to use the previous owners good reviews. Check out the comments on the town crier before eating there. New management disparaged Jason (the previous owner). I have never had worse Chinese food eat there at your own peril. read more

Stay away!! New owners!! Ordered 60.00 worth of food and almost everything was inedible! Took food back after getting it all the way home. We took 1 bite of everything and the manager was only going to give me half a refund until I said I would spread the word how bad it was! Supposedly the new owner owns another one in Omaha and they know what their doing but I have never tasted Chinese food that bad. The Lo Mein had no color or flavor, the garlic shrimp tasted like it was made with a store purchased bottle of sauce, the sesame chicken was probably the only 1 edible. The soups were absolutely tasteless!! So sorry we lost the old owners and cooks!! Time to drive to the Golden Dragon in Bellevue with the original owners back when it first started!!! I would have sucked it up if I only had 15, 20 bucks worth of food but 60, no way!!! read more

Found this restaurant while going on a cross country road trip. The gentleman taking our order was patient and friendly. I took his recommendation of the sesame chicken and I did not regret it. The chicken had the perfect amount of crisp and the sauce had lots of flavor. They have good prices too. read more

This is a fairly good place to get quick oriental food from. I just order it via phone and come get it 15 minutes later. I enjoy the gyoza/potstickers and the crab rangoons they have as well as the chicken fried rice & beef fried rice. The chicken however has a good amount of fat in it so I don't usually eat much of the chicken if I get chicken fried rice. I also wish they would put some vegetables with their fried rice dishes like other oriental fast food places do. Otherwise, no major complaints. I would still say to give it a try. read more

I'm so glad there's a Chinese place right here in town to feed my cravings. Golden Dragon is not upscale, nor does it try to be. It's a typical little American Chinese restaurant and it fits the bill wonderfully. The food is great, the portions are perfect, and the prices are just right. They are a very good place to eat. Their prices are reasonable and the food is good. However their hours that they have posted are not correct. I will admit that we got there a little closer to closing time but we still had 15 minutes. Their light were off but the open sign was still on. While sitting in the parking lot we tried calling and they turned the open light off with 10 minutes left. Pretty much what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant in a town of 7000, but it's edible, the service is fast and friendly, and if you want vegetables but don't want to cook them, it's pretty much the only option you have in Plattsmouth. read more

Food as great and speedy!! Has great prices for large meals. Only down side is the place needs remodeled.

It's well worth the drive to Bellevue, Omaha and Papillion to the north or Nebraska City to the south for Chinese food. Tried this place a few times over the years here in Plattsmouth. Better food elsewhere! read more

Its the only chinese place in town but the owner and cook James Haan is excellent, his food is sooo good, I find myself comparing when I go to other chinese places, Im sure people might disagree with me, but my husband says the same thing the food is fresh and hot, no frozen veggies there, all fresh meat, pork and poultry not frozen!!! I used to work there so I know first hand, very clean, I moved from the area but when i can i will make the trip to eat there, mmm making me hungry :) read more
