This is one of the worst Chinese food experiences I've had. I used to order from here semi-frequently, and the food was always good with solid portions. I haven't ordered in at least a year, so I'm not sure if they've changed owners, but the prices are now exorbitant, the quality was very low, and portions other than rice and items that came in a certain quantity were tiny. The sweet and sour chicken was all hard breading and there were maybe 12 pieces in a dinner-sized portion. The Mongolian beef, while tender and tasty, literally had 6 pieces, all buried under the excessive vegetables and mushrooms. The wonton soup had one single wonton in clear broth that literally fell apart when I tried to put it on my fork and disintegrated. The egg rolls had a totally different texture than every other Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at and were incredibly mushy in the middle. The chicken wings were really sub par and the pork fried rice was so salty we couldn't eat it. Of the whole order, the only halfway decent food in the correct quantities were the dumplings, which were OK. There weren't even any fortune cookies with this $68 meal. It took me a lot of trial and error to find a Chinese restaurant I liked after moving here from NY, so I'm really disappointed at how far Asian Wok has fallen. This place is a hidden gem up by 90th and Maple! Quick service, great portion sizes. Got the peanut butter chicken with chicken fried rice and chicken skewers, and it was all great but unfortunately the chicken skewers were quite dry and difficult to eat. Neat little hole in the wall place with traditional/authentic Chinese restaurant interior, cute vibe inside! It was one of our first meals when moving into our new house and getting married- lots of great memories. What a wonderful, local spot serving some excellent Chinese food! I tried their orange chicken lunch special that came with rice, broccoli and an egg roll- All for less than $15! The sauce has more of a reddish color than orange, but don't let that fool you. It was some of the freshest and most flavorful orange chicken I've had! One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants! We actually recommend it to people anywhere in Omaha because it's so good! The quality of the food is really good, we've never had a bad meal here. The portion sizes are massive, and price for the product is very reasonable compared to what they give you. Ordered the sesame chicken and it had a very interesting red color. The sauce was very sweet and as I previously mentioned, red. It tasted ok. Was fine for lunch however not tasty enough to go back for more. Most exciting thing about the food is that my child liked the fried rice that came with the food. Customer service: extremely kind and curious lady had my food ready promptly and they had it ready and packaged prior to the time reported by help. I visited Nebraska this past spring break and after being there for a while, I already missed chinese food. So I stopped by this place for lunch one day, and man they did not disappoint. The service is the best! They really do treat you like family and are super friendly. I was never left hanging when I needed refills or more napkins. As for the food, you really do get your moneys worth. The prices are low and the tastes is high! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic chinese food! I love dumplings and this place had really good pork dumplings (their sauce makes the flavor good). So...had dashed at this place a few times before and the customer service (always with ladies) was pretty amazing. I decided to go make a purchase. I ordered the combination specials they have daily. The first time I spoke to someone (lady) it was awesome phone service and awesome service at the time of pickup. The second time I placed an order it was a man. He was rude, rushing and did NOT listen to my order at all then proceeded to tell me I was confused about my order. I asked specifically for clarification in quantity of food on a full order of shrimp fried rice versus the daily combination he explained and then tried to place me for a combo fried rice with chicken and pork and then when I told him that was not what I asked or wanted he then told me I was confused about my order. In which I told him no sir you did not listen and I then proceeded to place order at which he then listened and got it right. So I felt content and decided I would do service with them again. Then today, I called to place the usual order and asked if the wrap that they use on the pork egg rolls could be used on a veggie egg roll. The nice lady answered the phone and she said she would go ask. I kindly waited. To my surprise the return to the call was the man. I thought not a concern, he said they could not do it and I said that was fine. I then asked him if he could just have them fry the veggie egg rolls crispier he proceeds to tell me "I am not going to go back to the kitchen and tell them how to cook the food, you eat it how we make it!" So wait a minute. Pause. I could have sworn I called a provider for food service. Emphasis on service. How the heavens do you expect to get paid for service you failing to adhere to what the paying customer request? That is no different than someone calling in to order a batch of chicken wings and saying fried harder or fried easy. So I told him to remove my order, he said something offensive and hung up the phone. This service was despicable. I felt compelled to tell all the details of my experience so that people seen it was not a one off. It was he is just a facade of a professional who lacks the professionalism. I don't care if you are the owner or not, there is a way you talk to PAYING customers. The saddest part is that I did NOT have an attitude. I hate to come on here and interrupt all of the 5 star reviews, but I also should be honest. If your thing is portion size with the price, then yeah they are good at that. But I prefer quality and flavor. The Mongolian Beef was disgusting and I could barely go for a third bite. It tasted like propane and the meat was old. The sweet and sour chicken was par at best but the driest, including the veggies, that I've ever experienced. The fried pork dumplings were good but soggy. Finally, they were out of Hunan chicken so I ordered Szechuan chicken instead. But, what was received was another beef dish which was loaded with minced garlic. So much garlic in that one that it was spicy and had terrible flavor. I usually go to Hiro which is the best in town. It is not fast takeout, but I'd rather pay a bit more for higher quality with the correct order. Doubt I'll be back. read more

Consistent quality for the 5 years I've been going, and they deliver to the Benson area, which doesn't have much else that will. Have never waited longer than they've told me, always had warm fresh food, always correct order. Not the best chinese food I've ever had, but in the realm of cheap take-out compared to the plethoras of other options, this is my midtown/benson/north o favorite. Been seeing this restaurant ever since we moved to the area but we are always reluctant to try it for some reason. Finally one day during a pretty desperate search for a "hot and sour soup craving", we decided to get it from Asian Wok. When I looked at their menu online, I was pretty excited that they have quite a variety of food including some food that don't normally exist in a regular Chinese food restaurant. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. We decided to try their Pad Thai and crab rangoon as well. And on another day I also ordered their special item for when I'm not feeling like cooking . We are not super impressed with their food but for the price, portion and service provided we are not disappointed either. Also I love the convenience of its location and speedy service. This is not one of my particular favorites. The food was mediocre at best. But it was delivered fast and hot and the prices are reasonable. The egg drop soup was thicker and more yellow than others that I've had (not a good thing) and it was a tad sweet, which is not a taste I expect in a savory soup like egg drop. I also had the General Tso chicken, which is supposed to be a spicy dish, all I can say is if it was spicy, then I am Zena Warrior Princess. There was absolutely no heat at all and it also was way too sweet. I've come to realize that ethnic restaurants in the Midwest tend to adjust their recipes for the Midwestern palate, but they need to start giving Midwesterners some credit and understand that they like good authentic non-dumbed down food. I am an east coaster and get disappointed time after time when I visit ethnic restaurants in Omaha with exception of a couple here and there that keep it real. The entrees are perfectly packaged, I love that they package everything separately because the portions are huge. This way the leftovers won't get soggy. Everything tasted great! 8/13/2021 My girlfriend and I ordered for delivery, like we have for several years. Usually it is average, and acceptable, not always. Today they sent soggy/sticky sesame chicken, when I had ordered peanut butter chicken. It was really bad. My girlfriend's broccoli beef was average, but not anything worth the price. Our fried wontons were burnt, dark brown, and our hot mustard was the usual, lumpy/watery mess. I've had it with this place, when my girlfriend called to tell them our food was not good, they got defensive and acted confused. I know what we ordered, and so does my girlfriend. The best way to deal with places like this is to Not do business with them. So ends years of being good customers. They could care less. P.S. We live in Omaha, not SF California. Whatever. read more
