I've been going to Golden China since I was a kid, and it never fails. They're still serving some of the best, most authentic Chinese food around. We ordered the orange chicken, which was perfectly crispy and absolutely delicious. The beef and broccoli had a little more broccoli than beef, but there was still enough beef and great flavor. We also got the chicken fried rice with no vegetables, vegetable chow mein, and the beef egg foo yong with a side of steamed rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. And the portions are hearty! It's comforting to come back to a place that's been consistent for so many years. The flavor is on point, but the presentation consists of two pre-made, un-wrapped taco looking thing with too much filling (I was too horrified to take a pic). I had to ask for another plate to bring back the proper eating format, and I cringe at the thought of an entire community of newbies learning to enjoy mushoo pork this way! The food was crazy good! All the flavors were there. I'm not a huge fan of onions so they made mine without. So far the best Chinese food in town. Our server was a young women very sweet and soft spoken, she gave us excellent service, kept our water glasses full and kept checking if we needed anything. Me and my boyfriend usually order takeout from here on nights he's too lazy to cook. Let me tell you sometimes the food is bland but for its price it's not bad. The beef chow fun hits every time, you can taste the smokiness of the wok. Service is nice but it's kinda strange they don't ever give us any utensils with the meals. Well, I haven't been back to Golden China in about 15 years. This used to be my go to on any Friday or Saturday when I didn't wanna cook. One reason was because my kids loved their food. But now let's fast-forward to 2025. I ordered the bean sprouts and shrimp, which of course was delicious. That cannot be messed up.. I also have the honey glaze chicken, shrimp, and fried rice and some almond cookies. My niece ordered the orange chicken. It was awfully hard. Didn't have a very good flavor to it either. She also had the chow mein it wasn't great. Don't understand how my meal was just perfect and hers wasn't.. She literally wasted her money because she ate a few of orange chicken strips and I did say strips and the rest we gave them to the dog.. I am really hoping that they get it together because I would love to go back but at this point I can't. I'm giving them three stars because she tried calling them on the phone to complain and see if she could come back in for maybe some fresher orange chicken strips, but there was such a big language barrier that it was ridiculous. I've been looking for a good shot down Chinese restaurant in or around Fontana. I finally found it. The service was fast and the waitress was kind and greeted us with a smile. It was not crowded just perfect filled with happy faces and family enjoying their delicious dinner. The food was outstanding. They serve a good portion of. I recommend the war ton soup. Picked up food from this restaurant yesterday and i will be honest about the location: the inside of the restaurant is dated and you can dine in but I noticed a lot of people taking to go orders, as did I. The food is priced decently for the portion sizes, although there is a bit of an unknown tax that is calculated on a calculator when taking payment, so the menu prices and the final amount including normal California tax doesn't fully add up. Everything is fresh to order based on my experience. I have been coming here for abt 25 years, they did get new owners from then. The fried rice is good, I get the chicken or the young chow fried rice. The imperial three delight, it is so delicious, lots of flavor. Has all 3 meats and veggies. It is on point and hits every time. Eggs rolls are good. I love the Chinese broccoli and beef. They cut/slice the Chinese broccoli in pieces which is awesome and easy to eat. Mongolian is good. Came here for our annual Chinese Restaurant Christmas dinner. It was my turn to choose the restaurant for our party of 10 talk about pressure. Well, from the minute we walked in our table was ready. I had made a reservation based on YELP reviews a couple days before and thankful I did because they were busy !! Only 2 girls working the entire restaurant but man these girls held their own ! The food was fresh and so full of flavor. The sizzling rice chicken soup was very flavorful and hit the spot for the cold night. The paper chicken was seasoned just right and nice and hot. The fried rice with chicken shrimp and beef was delicious, the orange chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The beef and broccoli was very flavorful, broccoli had a nice crunch and the beef was quality and not fatty. The egg rolls were huge and the kung pao chicken was perfectly seasoned. The mango shrimp was good could use a little more shrimp and the chow mein was fresh. The price was VERY reasonable and I even went back the next night for another round of that sizzling rice chicken soup. We went here on a weekend with a 1/2 hr. to closing time. There was no one at all in the restaurant and no one waiting to pick up food so we ordered. We got our food pretty quick but it shouldn't have taken long anyway. We got home and my friend got chow mein with bbq pork and she said the pork was burnt. She couldn't eat it. My food was tasteless and the rice was hard. I've been here a couple times last year and the food was great. The last couple of times we've been here the quality has been terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place at all and we won't be coming back unfortunately. read more
