    Mushrooms on my fry rice

Food and service is great, but please follow special request when customers ask for. My wife is allergic to mushrooms and they still added them to our fry rice.

    Chicken W. Chinese Vegetable

Good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. Hot and sour soup was very good. Kung pao shrimp and chicken vegetables were very good. Service was good for a hole-in-a-wall kind of place.

I like their food, but way too many bell peppers in the meal. I asked them to check to see if there were bell peppers and they said no so that's why I ordered it or I would've ordered it without bell pepper I'm OK with bell pepper not that much bell pepper

    Insect Leg

I've never had to make a review for any restaurant I've been too but I'm in complete disgust!!!!!! I ordered a kids wing meal with a small egg drop soup. As i'm eating my soup , that im already half way down with I notice something on my spoon. I thought maybe it was the pepper or some other food might have gotten dropped in the soup while cooking it. I go to take off whatever was on the spoon that I just took out of the soup and I put it on a napkin. As I look at the napkin I see it is some sort of insect leg !! I then flashed light on the napkin to make sure i'm not seeing things but no I stand corrected it indeed was a INSECT LEG !!! So I called them letting them know what I found in the soup , they then tell me " well just come back and we will give you another soup " I then tell them " no it's fine I just want my money back , I don't feel comfortable eating from there since I found that in my food " mind you I'm not screaming or arguing with them just simply telling them I don't want any other food to accommodate what just happened just my money back. They said they " weren't going to give me a refund , since I already taken the food " which made no sense to me speaking that I FOUND A INSECT LEG IN MY FOOD!!! These people need to be inspected my the health department and also need to clean their kitchen properly and be punished for even serving food like that! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else! I'm so disgusted !!!!!!!!!!!

Plenty of parking out front and easy to find. The food is good, the tastes are there. Some dishes are better than others, so it's definitely a bit of trial and error to really pick what's best for you. The prices are amazing! We all got lunch specials and they were massive! Enough to share, and perhaps if it's your first time as it was ours, sharing may be the way to go! Lovely indo-Pak Chinese! Clean restaurant and dedication to flavors. What's not to love?! We wanted to try 1 dish of each specialty, so we ordered of course a Lamb Karahi, this is a very special dish, comes in a hot wok like plate, very traditional Pakistani, the flavor, texture and aroma of this dish is so unique, definitely a must, we asked level 2 spice and it was wonderful. We also had the Chana Masala, this is the best Chana I've tried, so garlicky, so good, the chickpeas had the perfect texture as well, again mild on the spiciness, just great. We also had Chicken Szechuan chaomein, great noodles, the Szechuan flavor on this dish was just spot on. I'm so happy we came to try this place, I can confidently say and confirm this is one of the best places to eat in Houston. I can't recommend just one dish, but don't skip the Chana Masala.

I've done Peking…read moreCuisine for years and shifted to Arco for my duck cravings, but if you're willing to drive out to Humble (pretty much anytime you're in the IAH area), you gotta check out Bamboo House for the best Peking duck. And their other menu items are fire as well! We went on a Sunday late evening. We had a 9 pm airport pickup at IAH so it was a perfect opportunity to grab a spectacular dinner and make the 30+ minute drive out to IAH totally worth it. Parking lot wasn't too full so that wasn't an issue. While the neighborhood ain't River Oaks luxury, it ain't too scary either. We kept it simple - ordered a whole duck and Bamboo House Special Noodle with Beef. This place ain't cheap but the food is worth every penny. It was very busy that evening so it's not a well-kept secret but also proves that eventually, Houstonians will figure out where the good food is. The duck was near perfect. They serve the duck with the pancakes (as opposed to the buns like at Arco) which is my preference. The soup that comes with it was also extremely flavorful. And the house special noodles with beef - oh my. I swear it's just one really long noodle so you may be frustrated trying to divvy up the family style bowl, but the labor is worth it. So good... Can't wait for my next airport run so I can sneak in a lunch or dinner at this place. So many other menu items I want to try!

I had previously visited the now closed Bamboo House on Westheimer and I remember being impressed by the food. I had to make an airport run and decided that it would be perfect timing to stop by this location. I highly recommend ordering the duck ahead of time, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the last ducks when we arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress was super friendly and upbeat and the restaurant is older but well maintained. You can see where the food is being prepared/cooked and you can see ducks being cooked/warmed behind a glass window. The duck was absolutely spectacular with the perfect seasoned and tender meat accompanied by well rendered crispy skin. I love how the pancakes are paper thin and pair well with the scrumptious duck and other toppings. They also provide sugar and plum sauce as additional toppings which I thought was interesting but not my cup of tea. The duck soup was extremely flavorful and full bodied and went well with the duck. The noodles were also amazing with likely hand pulled noodles served with an abundance of tender beef and vegetables with a little Sichuan kick. I was intrigued by a strawberry chicken dish that I saw on the menu and I plan to try it the time. My diagnosis: hands down the best Peking duck in the greater Houston area!

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
