Food is great. A little pricey for regular Chinese take out, but the taste is worth it. I gave three stars because I ordered for delivery through Seamless. I gave more than 15% for the tip, so I expected door to door service. Not only did I have to come downstairs for my order, but I had to come outside with my three kids to get the food. As he's handing me my food, the delivery guy lights a cigarette and blows smoke in our faces. I am LIVID, and called to complain. First whoever picked up the phone tried to say I had the wrong number, but I repeated the address and she said she would talk to him. She claims he was scared to come upstairs because of the building. I'll never order for delivery from here again. I feel like it's really difficult to screw up takeout chinese food. The recipes are well known and established and you really just have to make it within a modicum of what people expect to rate as "good". Golden Chopstick is a weird name for a chinese restaurant to begin with. Why would you make a utilitarian eating instrument out of gold to begin with? It's a soft metal and would be unnecessarily expensive. Or perhaps Golden Chopstick is a hint at their cooking style, since everything we had here was well fried. I ordered the usual staples of chinese food : fried chicken wings on rice and general tso's. The fried chicken wings were ok, a bit on the overfried and dry side. The rice a little mushy but acceptable. The general tso's however was something else. It was so overfried that it went beyond crispy... it was borderline crunchy. When I was trying to ask the delivery guy if he had all my orders, he simply turned around and walked away. I ordered general tso and shrimp lo mein. The lo mein was amazing. I was honestly surprised because I'm not really a fan of lo mein, but the general tso is questionable. It's 20% neat and 80% starch. I say meat because I'm not even sure this IS chicken and if it is, it's the part you wouldn't usually and fried repeatedly to prevent it from going bad longer. Like I was nervous eating it and gave up all together. I'm not asking for gourmet food just edible. So I wont order from here again. I should've just slept off the hunger. read more

I used to come here all the time when I lived closer to Franklin Ave so I was pretty excited when they started delivering to my new place. The food is still super tasty but my delivery guy last night needs to keep his bigotry in check. I'm a white person living on quiet block in Bed Stuy and when my delivery guy showed up, he noticed the townhouse next door to me was for sale and asked me the price. I told him how much it's listed for and he asked me if there were a lot of black people in the area. I told him it was a predominantly black neighborhood and he scrunched his face up in obvious disapproval. You can't come onto my block that I love, insult my neighbors, and assume I'm gonna be on board with your racism. Two thumbs down for that guy! read more

Chinese is Chinese so don't expect too much but I simply just wanted to find a place that's deliverable to my apartment and doesn't make me die (my bar is set low lol) because Chinese restaurants can be super sketchy. Their delivery time was 50-60 minutes and they actually got here in 20 with the food hot when they're over a mile away. So nice work. I got egg drop soup and chicken with garlic sauce. No complaints at all. Garlic sauce is the perfect level of spicyness and they filled the meal up with a good veggie mix as well (broccoli, peppers, water chestnuts, baby corn). And that's when I turn to Golden Chopsticks, our go-to Chinese food place. I don't even have a number for any other places, that's how much we like them. The food is delivered on time and hot, and it tastes pretty good--we always get the General and its not too sweet but nice and crunchy as it should be. This review is strictly for delivery since I've only been in the physical store once, but even that was an ok experience. Ive ordered from this restaurant several times in the past and am generally satiated with the food they make. This evening however, I ordered chow mien (noodles) and received some sort of shrimp with mixed veggie with a white sauce. I called to notify the restaurant that iI received the incorrect item and the lady who answered the phone was just very rude! She basically told me I ordered what I ordered and that if I had a problem, I needed to come to the restaurant. Customer service is not just about working with customers when things are great, but genuinely showing concern and courtesy when a loyal customer is upset/ displeased. I have been searching for good Chinese food in the Prospect Heights hood, and this place was highly recommended. I ordered the General Tso's and the crab rangoon (an appetizer not many places carry here but which is standard in my home town of Chicago). I was a little disappointed: the crab rangoon filling was great, but the wontons were cardboard-ish. The chicken flavor was really good, but there were only 2 pieces of broccoli. Delivery was timely. Our go-to Chinese delivery. We pretty much only ever order the General Tso's chicken, but thats because we found these guys do a tasty, fresh version, we tried a few other dishes, but when you're getting Chinese delivery, you want your favourite, and this is it. We are pretty close by, but we will generally receive our food within 30 minutes of ordering, sometimes sooner, never so soon that it makes us worry its not cooked properly. The fact that their pork fried rice tasted like cardboard (I mean literally...maybe it was special Thousand Year Rice, but it tasted so old and, well, cardboardym that I threw it away!) it doesn't make sense to comment further.
