It is always a chance you take getting food from a steam table. This wasn't so good, unfortunately. I ordered the three item combo plate with Spicy Chicken Green Beans, Mushroom Chicken, and BBQ Pork. Both chicken dishes tasted similar with the same dark soy based gravy. The only difference was a slight red chili oil and black pepper burn in the green bean portion. The Mushroom Chicken was missing the mushrooms except for a single stem. The BBQ Pork was good, though, but slightly dry. The flavor was tasty and it did pair well with the steamed rice. The chow mein was good as well, plain orange colored thicker noodles and bits of cabbage here and there. Portion size is hefty to the point that the take out container barely closed. I ordered a hot and sour soup as well. It was more like a spiced up version of egg flower soup. No wood ear fungus, bamboo shoots, or preserved green vegetable here for texture. Regular white mushrooms were substituted for the traditional wood ear fungus. There is a slight white pepper kick. The soup was okay tasting but visually a bit unappealing with the numerous strands of egg white. I won't return here. Although some Chinese steam table restaurants can be extraordinarily good, this one clearly isn't.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Golden Chopsticks on Roy Rogers in (Victorville, CA. that I feel compelled to share. After spending $40 on a takeout order just an hour ago, I was shocked to find that the food had spoiled and was inedible. I've never encountered food that goes bad so quickly! Not only was the food unappetizing, but it also appeared old and greasy. I had high hopes for a satisfying meal, but instead, I found myself dealing with severe stomach cramps, a headache, and night sweats--classic signs of food poisoning. It's hard to imagine how sick I could have been if I had actually eaten that food. To make matters worse, when I returned to the restaurant to address the issue, the Chinese lady at the counter was incredibly rude. Instead of showing concern for my experience, she simply looked at me and insisted that I "eat it," and gave me a tiny box with four pieces of orange chicken then asked me to leave. This lack of customer service and care for food safety is unacceptable, especially considering the money I spent. Overall, my experience at Golden Chopsticks was not only disappointing but also concerning for my health. I would not recommend dining here unless you want to risk food poisoning and encounter poor customer service. There are plenty of other restaurants that prioritize both quality food and customer satisfaction, like Diamond panda on La Paz, we should've went there instead. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!

Dried looks like it already was chewed fried rice had no flavor the worst

Zero stars if possible... Went for lunch and found a hair at the bottom of the noodles. Come to find out they have a no refund policy instead they wanted to replace my plate witch is ridiculous after finding a hair in my food I will not be returning ever again

Courteous staff, fast service, and they are not stingy with their portions. They are also reasonably priced. Also My favorite was the Hot and Sour Soup, I didn't see it on the menu, but I just asked the staff and it was made fresh, had to wait a bit, but was worth the wait. Will go again!

it was good. i got a 3entree combo with fried rice, chow mein, walnut shrimp, bbq chicken, broccoli beef and 2orders of the spring rolls. it was hot my spring rolls were crispy. i asked for extra soy sauce and hot mustard a must!!! next time i will get salt & pepper wings a side of the red bbq sauce for the wings and spring rolls and maybe the egg drop soup read more

One good thing; I now know where NEVER to go again. Noodles had old pan that never gets washed taste. MY spouse's rice smelled spoiled and beef & broccoli "tasteless". When I took rice back the girl rolled her eyes, acted disgusted with me then man who spoke English came out and told me no refunds, gave me small cup of shrimp. The sad thing? There is a Panda Express across the street.! I had to apologize to everybody because it was my suggestion. NEVER again. read more

The food was very good they had a lot of choices That I can have because I don't eat meat I only eat seafood. The food was really good it looked great it tasted really good. I will be coming back. Legitimately the worst asian food I've ever had. Looking through the reviews below I've observed that people are stuck on how big the portions are. Straight up I rather have something that's edible than in a large quantity. I don't want to know what they do to achieve their cost to portion ratio. Oh and about the food: rubbery, tasteless, crunchy in all the wrong ways, and to paraphrase a great line from someone else 'it's frozen and burned at the same time'. read more

I ordered a shrimp Chowmein, and was horrified to watch them take Chowmein off the line and take it to the back to make shrimp chowmein. They basically refried the already cooked noodles with shrimp that was probably already cooked and added egg. The food did not taste good, the Orange chicken was OK, but my green bean chicken had a lot of uncooked green beans that were crunchy not crispy. I have not eaten at this restaurant in a long time and now I see why I have stayed away for so long. Commercialized fast food chains like Panda Express blow this place away. read more

Though I gave the Apple Valley Chopstix 3 stars as well, I prefer that location over here. Though the food is exactly the same, the service in AV was better. Here it was more "hurry up n buy" "next" "what else you want, only two plates, no egg rolls?" "no drinks? " "Ok you go now." My son went with the fried rice and orange chicken, my husband the noodles with spicy chicken and sweet n sour pork. They liked it and it was alot of food for just under $15. We might be back if hunger strikes in the area, but not search out this location on purpose. read more

Used to be good. Came by for lunch. Fried rice looked more like white rice with veggies. Chow mein was red in color, not orange. Orange chicken had a weird taste and the coconut shrimp was lacking. And no where was it indicated that the shrimp cost an additional fee. I didn't even realize it till I got back to work and saw $1 written on the side of the styrofoam container. read more

Now it is sliced ahead of time and the pieces sit in liquid until purchased. The pork absorbs whatever liquid it is in, making the meat an unappetizing color throughout. This did not add any moisture because the meat was already overcooked and dry to begin with. All the dark edges just means it is burned. The meat smelled burned. Other items, such as the Sweet and Sour Pork and Orange Chicken consisted mainly of thick fried batter and very little meat. The Orange Chicken did, however, have a tangy, citrusy sauce which tasted good. They may be experiencing some growing pains with the new ownership change. I should return in a few months to see if there is any improvement. The price point currently is not worth it due to the rather poor food quality.

This time I chose Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Their egg foo young is a little different here, closer to a Japanese Okonomiyaki. It is crispy with lots of shredded cabbage and water chestnuts. It came with a corn egg drop soup, cream cheese fried wonton, fried or steamed rice, and a vegetable egg roll. Shrimp had a nice snappy texture. Service is attentive, polite, and efficient. The menu is extensive so there will be many choices. Be sure to request their Korean menu as well for even more selections.

Pan fried on one side, a bit rubbery. Shredded Cucumber salad with garlic flavor was good with decent fresh cucumber. Scallion pancakes. Greasy. Unable to detect any scallion or onion flavor so I opened it. Tiny specs of what had to be those dried chives or green onion flakes. Scant amount. This is a simple, cheap fix for a usually delightful side order: Just chop up some fresh green onions and throw them in there. Easier on the oil & these would've been pretty good. Wouldn't order this unless they revamp this simple app. Distracting banging around of pots and pants in background. I guess it was pot washing time. Several customers ordered the dim sum and maybe that's the way to go. It's a no go for me.

The proteins in the soup consisted of chicken and shrimp. There was plenty of meat for sure. The veggies were broccoli, celery, carrots, baby corn, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. The light broth had a good flavor as well. When I got this home, I found the container was 32 ounces filled to the brim. I added an avocado and lime juice to brighten the flavors but it was fine as is. It was one of the best valued wonton soups at under $10, considering the generous amount of ingredients in the soup. Highly recommended. I also ordered a Three Entree Combo meal. I had Orange Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, and BBQ Pork with sides of steamed rice and chow mein. The batter on the Orange Chicken was thick but it had a crispy crunch. Mushroom Chicken had mostly meat with just a few pieces of mushrooms and zucchini. BBQ Pork was seasoned well and tender with a few pieces of thick pork fat. These provided a textural contrast but are easily removed if desired. Not too sweet as well which is a plus. The ordered Veggie Egg Rolls were good with a ginger flavored filling. Overall, this combo was a satisfying meal with plenty of leftovers for later. Overall, a good experience with the food here. I really don't eat at Chinese food chains. After having eaten at Panda a dozen or so times I either didn't like it or got sick. From then on I just stuck to the nice restaurants or the little restaurants. Then I ate at Chopstix. And found there is such thing as a Chinese chain restaurant that actually has a strong good taste. Not bland at all like Panda. I have only eaten at the Chopstix in VV and AV and each time it was very good and the portions were much more than I wanted. There really is no place that provides so much good food for such a small price. read more

The Chinese lady is a cruel woman and she is mean to some African American people and likes to rush them to leave, Don't drink the water it's from the sink and the boss is that Chinese lady she owns the place if she saids she doesn't she's lying.
