What an awesome restaurant tucked into a shopping center in Helena. I was told to check it out and glad that I did. I went on an afternoon and was nervous because I didn't see any customers sitting in the restaurant, but I did see a lot of DoorDash (DD) drivers come by and pick up orders, so I'm glad that DD ordering is an option. I was immediately greeted and given a menu. I noticed that they have a lot of sushi options and will have to check that out next time. But for this visit, I decided to try the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai, with an order of spring rolls and steamed pot stickers. Everything was cooked to order and served fresh. The sauces that came with the spring rolls and the pot stickers really made those appetizers because they had a lot of seasonings in those sauces. I did notice that the pot stickers were so soft that they were kind of falling apart, so next time, I try their fried pot stickers. The star of the visit was the Pad Thai. It was a little on the spicy side, but tasted great nonetheless. Even on my to-go order, they gave me a lot of noodles... enough to eat on it for two days. We stopped in for lunch and the staff greeted us right away. They had a large selection on the menu with plenty of options for lunch. Our waitress was helpful with any questions or concerns and quick to refill drinks as they emptied. Our food came out quick and was delicious! The lunch portion sizes were great, bigger than we anticipated even! Our food came out hot and fast. Definitely check this place out if you want a cozy little spot to enjoy some excellent Thai food. We agreed this was on par with the quality/taste you would get at some other more well known places without the frustrating drive or terrible parking, so it was a win!! read more

Was happy to see this new Thai place in Helena. It is located in the same shopping center as Walmart. It's not very big inside with take out orders up front and tables to the right. It looked like they were enjoying a fairly busy night for an early Saturday dinner. I ordered online. You can tell them what time you want it to be ready. I was a little late so my order was ready when I picked it up. Not much interaction with the staff but they were friendly. I ordered spring rolls. There were 3 and they came with a good dipping sauce. These were hot and crispy and quite delicious! For my entree, I got the Thai Basil Chicken. This came with a small container of white rice. The dish was really good. I ordered it spicy. To me, it wasn't spicy so next time I will order very spicy. The rice it came with was overcooked. Frankly, they should have started over. This was the only thing that was disappointing about this dish. I also ordered a side of fried rice. Also disappointing since it was obviously made with the overcooked white rice. I will eat here again with the hopes that the rice will be better next time. I'm excited to try some of the other menu items. Overall, a good experience. I will happily eat here again. read more

The Coconut Tofu soup came with the lunch in you down in which I thought was really delicious. The Spicy Shrimp Roll was 5 pieces that I had to eat with a fork because they are so big lol. My family and I have frequented Thai Sushi 2 Fridays in a row for dinner and lunch because its delicious food and its delightfully welcoming and serving staff. We've enjoyed their quant and quiet dining room and enjoyable dining experience. The owner came to our table to welcome and thank us for our business. It is the best Thai food we've had in the state. It's thick noodles and a delightful brown sauce that can be made as spicy as you like it. I've tried this dish with beef, chicken, and pork. Pork is by far my favorite! First visit. I ordered the noodle bowl chicken. The sauce was a little thick. The chicken was marinated too long, rubbery and ultra salty. I understand it's hit and miss with this dish. So, I ordered the fried catfish with the garlic ginger sauce. The sauce again was a little too thick and concentrated, but the flavors were excellent. The fish was dry. The breading on the bottom was oil soaked, like it was pre-fried and just heated up. Catfish should always be prepared fresh to order. Served with plain white rice and lettuce leaves. I somewhat enjoyed the dish, and will return to try another later. The service was above average and pleasant. read more

The mango sticky rice is nothing short of fabulous! All the food is prepared to order and the staff goes above and beyond to be helpful. My wife is a vegetarian and has been able to order any otherwise meaty item on the menu by asking for mixed vegetables instead. She has never been disappointed. Speaking of not being disappointed, the serving sizes (even on the lunch menu) are large enough that we usually find ourselves taking some home for later. The food is tasty and well prepared. The venue is small with only five or 6 inside tables. Because of the size of the place, it is easy to have more or less quiet conversations. This place is a wonderful addition to the ethnic food choices we are beginning to see in the Helena/Pelham/Alabaster area. Will be going back again and again. We have always been on the lookout for that personable kind of Asian restaurant that feels like eating at someone's home. We finally found it in Helena, Alabama--only ten minutes off Interstate-65 (we timed it, twice). We have made half a dozen visits over the past two months and each time--mostly at dinner time, but twice at lunch--the experience has been wonderful. Besides us, there were dating couples, ladies who gather for dinner, families, and lots of take-out business. We found the laid-back ambience a refreshing switch from the chains. The food is what keeps us driving out of the way to eat there for dinner or lunch. We've had the incredibly tender honey-barbecue half-chicken many times, the noodle dishes, the sushi, the soup, the fried rice. I will add my photos. Sometimes the main cook will make something special for the staff and occasionally they share it with us. The creme brulee is not to be believed, with a crisp sugar coating on top. He also fried up some taro roots--they tasted like sweet and crunchy French fries. read more
