Egad!!! No Chicken Livers and no chicken and dumplings. This Golden Corral is much in need of menu upgrade. Ham and Beans and Cornbread, and soups. Great salad bar. Several whole pies including pecan, chocolate, lemon - with large slices; My dearest wife is pleased. Lots of veggies, sides, .... Manager deserves an award. Restaurant is spotless - Lots of Good Old Boys and their ladies. All children are supervised and given dining lessons. The waitstaff is very attentive. I hadn't been to a golden corral in years and once I got it in my head to check this one out that was a short walk from my hotel there was no turning back. Boy am I glad I decided to check it out. It more than hit the spot. I ate so much and stuffed myself silly on some of my childhood favorites and other homestyle cuisines. Some of the standouts for me included the pot roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken & dumplings, fried chicken and who can ever leave out the good old cafeteria style fried fish? The green beans were good, the Mac n cheese nostalgic and I tried just about all the desserts (brownie, chocolate cake, lemon cake, rice krispie treat, banana pudding, bread pudding, chocolate covered strawberries) which were all a perfect end-of-meal treat. I definitely indulged with this meal and was actually a little relieved to find the ice cream machine broken. Had it not been, I definitely would've eaten that too and my belly surely would've popped. The service was also excellent. Brittany was very kind, helpful and gave me just the right amount of attention. Helpful tip: make sure to bring cash for the tip. You pay at the register when you walk in but you will also need to tip your server at the table. read more

I would not recommend this Golden Corral. I've eaten in this establishment before and the waitstaff wasn't very attentive. We could've used refills on our drinks and they didn't bother to even ask us how we were doing. I wanted to give them another chance though, because my dad, my brother, and I used to like the one up in Ontario, Ohio. So, I decided to order takeout for Thanksgiving. I ordered their Sliced Holiday Roasted Turkey Meal which came with sliced turkey, two mashed potatoes sides, two brown gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, yeast rolls, and your choice of one additional side and your choice of dessert. This is supposed to serve 4 people. For the additional side, my girlfriend chose macaroni and cheese. I added on an additional side of green beans for $7.99. For the choice of dessert, my girlfriend chose the carrot cake. Pickup time for the order was 11:30 am on Thanksgiving day. When we got to the location, the restaurant parking lot was very crowded with a lot of people eating in. There was a barely legible handwritten sign on the side of the road saying to park in the back and call a number. I didn't get the number on the sign driving by so I called the number on my email receipt. There was no answer the first time, so I called again and finally someone did pickup. I told them I was there to pickup and they proceeded to chide me telling me I was supposed to have called the number on the sign (which you would have a hard time seeing driving by in a parking lot with people pulling in and out). They did finally say though "Well, what's your name?" and told us they would bring the order to us. They asked for a description of the car. My pickup time was 11:30 am but they were not ready for us as we waited an additional 10-15 minutes even though we were there on time. Eventually, they brought us our food and it was packed pretty well in several takeout boxes. So right off the bat, the pickup process wasn't very good but I figured maybe it was just a bad start. We drove home, brought everything in my residence, and I discovered my green beans were missing. Very disappointing, but I wasn't going to try to go back as the last experience picking up was not very good and I thought it wasn't worth the hassle. Now, on to the food. The turkey was sliced turkey and was pretty good. The mashed potatoes tasted good as well, along with the brown gravy. The macaroni and cheese was horrible. It was very runny and barely tasted like cheese at all. To me it tasted like a stick of butter was thrown in with some noodles. It looked like macaroni and cheese but had no cheese flavor at all. I don't like dressing so I didn't eat it, but my girlfriend said it was just so-so. The cranberry sauce was good but very tiny on the portions. In my opinion, there's no way that would feed four people unless you just had a couple of spoonfuls per person. The carrot cake was a full-sized cake and tasted good the first day but was considerably dryer when we ate leftovers the next day. The yeast rolls were kind of chewy and could've been baked longer. There were plenty of them though. They did not include any butter which I feel should've been included with the meal. As previously stated, they forgot my additional order of green beans so I don't know how they would've been. Overall, I would not recommend this Golden Corral. The takeout experience was terrible and not well thought out. We were there on time but our order wasn't ready. Also, it was very unprofessional for the person on the phone to complain that I didn't call the right phone number especially when the sign was barely legible from a vehicle. Many restaurants have pickup lanes now where you text them when you get there with the pickup lane number you're in. Additionally, there's no excuse for forgetting an item. If you pay for something, you should get it. They did do well packing the food and some of the food was pretty good. The experience as a whole, however, was disappointing. I will not be back until they get better management. There are far better restaurants where I will feel valued and be treated right. read more

My husband and I go to Golden Corral in Beavercreek at least once a week; whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We always find a variety of food to enjoy each time we go. We prefer to have Sarah as our waitress (she's always very attentive, not to just us, but for everyone). She's the best! But, the other waitresses and/or waiters are good, also. The restaurant's overall appearance is clean, neat, and orderly. I have seen people eat and leave terrible messes, but after they've left the area is magickly cleaned up. Even the parking lot stays nice. Sorry, but I only have nice things to say about this restaurant and the entire staff. read more

Went on 6 Apr 2026 and an hour after they opened half of the food trays had NO food yet. Other than fried chicken, shrimp, and fried fish the few trays that had food were cold leftovers from the day before waiting to get warmed up. An hour later there were more things out but nowhere near the normal variety as shown on their website and app. What a ripoff. Used to be a reasonably good restaurant but the manager never offered even a simple apology for charging everyone full price and gave us less than half the selection. Hopefully everyone who was in there that day will post comments on their social media and get the word out how bad this GC has become so others don't get ripped off. read more

Well we thought we'd try this place again. they did a little bit better this time. We didn't get salty water or get turned away at the door. but the food is not improving. I think the best thing to have is their fried fish. I tried the ribs they have and out of a ten, I would give them about a four. Very fatty and not very flavorful. The prices have just about doubled. 2 adult people almost $40.00! I know the prices are going up, but golden corral was always the place to go where you could get decent food obviously a very good variety. Very nice service staff but now sticker shock. I think Golden Corral is Thanksgivings best kept secret, I mean amazing turkey and sides, and steak if you want that too, freshly carved right in front of you and you don't have to do dishes. This one has going all the way down here the last few months. All the workers are Mexican and none of them speak english, but the mangers and they are terrible themselves. Tonite all the lettuce was brown as can be. I told the manager and he said nothing he can do about it. There wasn't a cook steak for a hour tonite. 15 people were waiting for steaks. The young guy cooking the steaks couldn't speak English at all. He was burning the meat. All the food had been sitting out for hours. It was terrible. I paid $60 for trash. I talked to the manager and got brushed off like it was nothing. I told the manager I'm calling ICE tomorrow and informing them of all the illegals working there.do not go here to eat ! For a buffet, the food wasn't too bad. A wide variety of food! The cones by the ice cream were a little smooshed and messy but they were mot stale! The steak by the grill station is okay if you get lucky and the cut being grilled is of decent quality. Overall, not a bad spot for indulging a cheap meal! read more

If I could, I would give this restaurant a 10, five just isn't high enough! We found this restaurant, by accident! We had no idea it was there. We had passed it on the way to a medical appointment. After the appointment, we stopped in. There was a person sweeping the parking lot. We were first ones in when they opened and of course it was very clean! We were very impressed with the service, food, cleanliness and high spirited workers (smiles on everyone's, that we saw, faces)! We asked our waitress for her truthful opinion on the cleanliness of the restaurant. She told us that the general manager was in fact a "clean" freak, "if you can lean, you can clean" type of manager! She said that he would even be on hands and knees cleaning if needed. We have been back two more times, once for breakfast (Saturday 9:30 am) and then for dinner (Friday 5:30 pm). Both times the restaurant was very clean, and busy, as it was on our first visit, the food was a better quality (fried chicken is outstanding and hot), the breakfast items were fresh and hot, items constantly being refilled, and the staff are all outstanding and friendly and the atmosphere is very calming and clean! This is the BEST Golden Corral, that we have been to (5 different areas including the one on Miller Lane, Dayton). This will be our go to Golden Corral from now on! I had never been to a Golden Corral before and my first time was fantastic. I mean, how could it differ from other buffets? Must be the people. Everyone was so friendly and I never had to ask for drink refills, which is always a plus!!! I went for breakfast and they had everything you could ask for and everything was hot and fresh. From bacon, eggs, sausage and toast, to chopped beef and sausage gravy with biscuits. They had a wonderful selection of sweets and I absolutely LOVED the bread pudding. This is only a review for **breakfast** and the rating is somewhere between a 2.5 and 3.00 depending on the item that you are choosing. The winners: Biscuits, dark sausage with spice pepper in it (usually next to bacon), gravy, breakfast burrito, half smokes, omelet bar. hash browns (but only when they don't put salsa taste in it - one occasion only). The so so: coffee, bacon, chicken fried bacon (one time it was pretty good because it wasn't so greasy), french toast (no sugar), salad bar (not as much fruit on it as I would hope) The losers: Scrambled eggs that were cold, the lighter sausage (no flavor), oatmeal and grits (way to runny!), In fairness, i haven't tried the pancakes, or the pork chops; nor have I had them make me a waffle (but maybe someday). Went there for the first time about a week before we started hearing about Covid-19 as of this date we haven't been able to visit again. To be frank, neither my wife are fans a buffets which is the reason we have not tried it before. We went there because our two granddaughters wanted to go there, telling us it was great. Seating was quick even though there was a line. There is a large selection and the food I tried was good. The girls loved it. So, while I probably won't be visiting it with just my wife (just because it's a buffet), I'll undoubtedly be visiting it a number of times in the future with all the grandchildren. read more

I used to love going to this buffet. But this place seems to have lost its luster. I attended the evening meal on Wednesday, 3 June. The staff was very friendly, but my dining experience was disappointing. The meat loaf tasted and looked like it was under the hot light all day. Every meat product except for the ribs was dry. The macaroni and cheese tasted bland, the soup/chili had a day's glaze, and the vegetables was overlooked. If it wasn't for the chicken and the salad bar, I would have left hungry. Just remodeled - looks like a brand new restaurant inside and out! They have improved their game quite a bit since they became corporate and no longer run by Frisch's Corp. The staff is great and management really wants you to enjoy your visit. I wish they would bring back their prime rib or wings on buffet instead of just staying with same old brisket and smoked turkey or whatever it is. But for the money lunch can't be beat! read more

Most of the pans were empty and nobody attempting to fill them, until I complained to the manger. then she helped fill a few. Went here b/c it was their regrand opening. Says new menu, new look. Place looks great. Food, it was bad. First I had to call to see if they were open,says 1045 on window, doors were locked still at 1053. Waited for cashier after coming in. Got a mtn dew, tasted like soap, then got water and a tea. All food,but fried chicken was warm at best. I tried 12 different items and I couldn't believe how poor quality the food was. If you had seen the macaroni, it looked like it was days old, burnt, and cheese was so overcooked and brown, I couldn't even try it. If your looking for a good lunch this is not the place to be. Ending, I saw the manager temping all the products without sanitizing the probe after each use. 1. That is cross contamination and 2, if your allergic to anything, they are adding what's on that probe to other items. Using a dirty rag to clean that probe can't be what golden corral standards are right??? I will never be back and I hope a district manager sees this so they can fix the quality of food here. read more
