The food is always available, and the employees are very attentive. The restrooms are also very well kept.

The service was not good. We didn't get a waiter until 10 minutes after we way down. Then we find out 20 minutes after that, that the only waiter left and we were reassigned to a new one which was even worse. He spilled 10 plates next to us (accidents happen so I'm not mad about that too much) but he didn't apologize and only came to our table once afterwards. I don't all had to eat ice cream with our old utensils since new ones were not offered during the whole time. read more

My boyfriend and I went to eat here last night and let me tell you, it was awful. It's honestly very disgusting, they charged us $35 for only us two, which to me is very expensive for a buffet that doesn't have all the food stations available like before. The carpets looked horrible and extremely dirty. One of the waitresses was complaining that people weren't tipping when she should of been concerned about cleaning the tables and removing all the dirty plates from them. Now, on this visit, the only positive person we encountered was the cashier... Could it be because she takes the money? But from the food to the presentation. Sometimes food is good and sometimes it's not. Sometimes service is good and sometimes it's not. They added prime rib for their weekend buffet starting in March but raised the price too. I will be back to try it. Food was good today. Our of macaroni though :0( And I agree with others that it needs some extra cleaning, but the people that eat here are very messy. Extremely disappointing. Breakfast buffet: scramble eggs are cut in blocks. Sausage link and whole sausage greasy and/or dried out, Hashbrowns greasy., pork chops were not pork chops, omelet station's items did not look fresh, coffee was good., tables not cleaned properly and over all service fair. I Normally don't write reviews but this location services visitors and people that work hard for their family. Customers should have at least a good breakfast at a reasonable price that worthy. Golden Corrals are normally my personal treat when I'm on the road for work. The food here was very good the grill guy made fantastic rare steaks, and the waitress was awesome, kept my table clear and drink filled. Unfortunately they need to schedule their pest guy out. Whole eating two baby sewer roaches crawled out from under my table and across it while I was eating, then when a small bit of ice cream felt off the edge of my bowl, another came righr out and began eating. Very dissapointed, and probably won't be visit the resturants foe awhile now. read more

Fell short in food quality, fish been left out to long got cold rubber like texture, management was great at resolving the issue and having fresh fish made afterwards. Hacienda food bar not up to par meat not drained well, beans very watery lacked flavor. Breakfast food bar great, hot biscuits and gravy, bacon fresh and still steaming. Salad bar was also well presented and stocked. Pizza left a lot to desire with lack of selection one flavor and only three slice in both my visits down the food bar. Exceptional staff and management experience, but not the best meal experience for $9.49 a plate + $2.39 for drink in addition, not the best value. Suggest smaller portions prepared at a time instead of stacking up piles of food only to get cold. Willing to visit again see what changes can be made. read more

The spot was well organized to the tables the people were nice and seemed in a good mood. The only thing that bothers me is the restroom. During this pandemic the restrooms looked dirty and not very clean. I fear for the older people that may stumble to the restroom. Also some people may find this restaurant expensive. We went there because a relative loves buffets. For the most part, the quality of the food is acceptable but what is not acceptable are finding only dirty forks in the self-service holders and the general state of near chaos that pervades the place. It is extremely busy, particularly on weekend evenings, and the staff is clearly overwhelmed by all that needs to be done. Plus, there are always customers who don't have very good manners and leave all kinds of messes. I feel sorry for the people working there. 1st visit deserved 5 stars but the 2nd visit did not. I am from Dallas and was staying at the nearby Travel Lodge so had decided to go for breakfast one morning. We were greeted by the manager and had a nice chat with him about how this location is the busiest in the COUNTRY. Not sure if that was an over-exaggeration but having gone to several locations the size of this was larger in comparison. The Breakfast was great and to our luck we got there at the tail end of breakfast time so we got to eat lunch also! Food was great. Service was excellent and everyone was nice and helpful during this visit. Next visit was not so great. While in town again visiting family we had such a great experience last time we decided to go again during lunch/dinner time. I walked in carrying my 1 year old and when i asked for a high chair instead of answering my question the employee i asked informed me that there wasn't a server in the area that my family and I had sat. Not sure why as the whole place seemed busy but no worries I just need a high chair. So i asked AGAIN, was directed back to the front and We decided to stay in that area because having small messy children being close to a restroom in such a large restaurant is important. Thank you to the bus boy who refilled our drinks. Eventually we were given a server because they were so busy i suppose the bus boy couldn't keep up. But this was when we were already leaving. Salad bar was ok. Do not get prepared green salads as the dressing has made them mushy. mashed potatoes bland. rest of the everything was average at best but what more can you expect from a buffet style restaurant. This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. The restaurant is really dirty. There's alot of Clorox smell everywhere. The plates have food caked on it. Right before I entered the restaurant, I could smell how dirty the door and the small entrance area smelled like old and scum smell. My friend and I paid $19 for 2 buffets with no drink. The food is horrible. Seems like everything has been cooked way too fast and seems like the cooks didn't care about anything, no thought, no care, no love into the food! NOTHING! I soo wish they had a Golden Corral near memphis. This place is clean, not too busy, and great for children. The food was good and they were always making sure the trays were full of food. The have a salad bar, chinese, mexican, italian, and american food. My favorite food was the macaroni, it was delicious and creamy, never had this good of macaroni in a buffet before. For dessert, there is a caramel, chocolate, and white chocolate fountain. The kids had so much fun with the fountains, also the cotton candy machine. There was also different desserts, the donut making machine was out of order. All my family was super full after eating here. I will definitely be eating at any Golden Corral when I go out of town. read more

From Seafood to American, from Mexican to Chinese, to desserts to salads, it is a great place to take the family, especially for people who like to try new things. Since now there is only one Golden Corral, this one, it is mostly-if not always- packed. I went today and we had an atleast 20-30 minute wait. Yikes this place is gross! Plates were not cleaned properly. Dirty dishes sprinkled throughout the buffet area from disgusting patrons with no respect. Unattended children running all over the place. I almost got trampled by like five separate groups of kids running around the buffet and dessert area. There was food all over the floors and the worst part were the serving spoons and tongs. Every time I picked up a serving spoon it almost slipped out of my hand because they were so slimy and greasy...disgusting! No vanilla ice cream, no cotton candy, no chocolate fountain, no spoons, no bowls. It was like a war zone with the food everywhere and the constant evading of kids. My husband said the men's restroom was covered in shit....literal shit. I haven't been to any Golden Corral in over ten years and today I was reminded why. My family and I went there for lunch on a Saturday. The place was packed; good thing the line moved fairly quickly and we didn't have to wait that long to be sitted. This was our first trip to this location. It seemed so cramped; the space between tables were so close together. Even our booth was so tightly-spaced, we felt squeezed in. All the servers appeared extremely busy because of the high volume of diners. Good thing our server was still pleasant even though it was obvious that she had a lot to attend to. The spread was a disappointment. I'm not sure if the cook staff was just overwhelmed, but the turnover of dishes was very slow. Whenever we went to the stations to get our food, we found that majority of the main dishes (i.e. proteins) were already gone or almost gone. We had to wait for a fresh batch. I didn't have a choice but to fill my plate with sides. The food was what you would expect in a national chain buffet. They did have a salad bar, a taco station, a grill station, bakery, dessert area (with chocolate fountain and cotton candy), taco bar, pasta/pizza section, Asian-type station (with what looks like Chinese food), and Cape Cod-inspired station (where you'll find fried fish and shrimp, hush puppies, etc.). We were disappointed that they didn't have grilled steaks that day (they only had grilled chicken). I'm sad to say that most of the dishes were either overcooked or just unsavory. Grilled chicken and corn muffin were extremely dry (anyone remember Chinese fighting muffins from Charlie's Angels?); alfredo sauce had an off-putting sour taste; ground beef for tacos was greasy; stir-fry chicken with sauce (I don't recall its name) was too salty. I did enjoy the pot roast which was very tender and flavorful. I thought that I was going to enjoy the chocolate fountain. However, my mom saw a kid dip his ice cream which he already licked into the fountain. Eeewww!!! Very unsanitary! No chocolate strawberries for me then. I opted for the spun cotton candy which was fairly good and brought back nice childhood memories. In summary, if you're just hungry and want to be 'stuffed' with food for a relatively cheap price and don't mind the claustrophobic ambiance, you might consider this place. But if you're looking for a dining experience that is more relaxed and dishes that are cooked the right way and simply taste delicious then opt for another restaurant. read more

This is the first location of this establishment that I tried and must say that I raved about it for years and finally last year it barely made it here to the L.A. area. I couldn't believe how delicious this buffet was. I ate like no tomorrow plus the staff was very courteous. Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go here. This place is always jam packed with people, 24/7 365. If you are lucky enough to be seated promptly, good luck finding something good to eat. The trays of food are usually empty and are never refilled in under 30 minutes. The people that go there are the scum of the universe, they will hang out at the grill and wait for the chef to place several well cooked and delicious looking steaks on the serving tray and then proceed to take all of the 4-5 freshly prepared steaks or grilled meat product and place it on their plate, without even a hint of shame. Meanwhile there are about 8-10 people in line waiting for a fresh batch just for the cycle to repeat all over again. Tables and floors are dirty, kids running around without a parent in sight and management refuses to do anything about this. Do not eat here. Ever. The place started off bad from the beginning. Walked to the line to get cups to make the drinks, every single cup was dirty. The manager got an attitude when we asked for clean cups. Then every drink in the drink machine was flat. Then we went to sit down at one of the few tables that weren't covered in dirty plates filled with scraps. The table was messy, with both napkin holders empty, and empty sauce bottles scattered around. We asked for the drinks to be replaced for my kids with lemonade or sprite. The waiter brought back mountain dew. We went to get our plates, and of course, I had to pick through the plates to find a clean one. The food was only ok. The silverware was dirty as well. The waiter let the dirty dishes pile up, and when he did finally ask if he could take them, he just moved them from our table, to the table beside us. We asked for another bottle of A1 because the two on our table were empty. The waiter walked to nearby tables and checked those, then came back and said he couldn't find any. He never checked in the back where the stock should have been kept. Then comes the dessert. Some parent decided to let their 5 year old get dessert alone, and it was getting everywhere. Then there was two love birds who were licking their cones, then sticking it back under the ice cream thing. Then they went to put sprinkles on it, after they licked all over it, and shook the sprinkles off their previously licked cones back into the sprinkler containers. The golden in McAllen, Texas off Jackson Street gets a no no zero rating from me. I went there with my husband and aunt as I always did. The first time I found a dead fly in the lettuce, the worker tried to take it out and move on, Gross! I had to tell her to take the whole bowl.... Always noticing the managers sitting in a table while there were several areas that needed attention, especially the salad bar, always needs attention. My final visit there, there was no tea, the General Manager standing there watching as customers past by, no glasses or tea for the customers, I was no exception. I got to the register and told the cashier in my frustration "can I have a discount for bad service". She rudely turned around and went to the General manager that stood there doing really nothing. Came back with her that continued to tell me she was his daugher in law, and he rudely looked at me and said " that's right!". Had it been another business they would apologize for the bad service and treat the customers with respect. He left and she continued gloating about how she was his daughter in law and it was a family business. Last time for me. Never will go back again, I felt like they were telling me this is my home and if you don't like the bad service leave. Very rude, no one cares if your related.
