Ive always loved Golden Corral and when I found out that it can be delivered to my house it made me so happy. I love their cabbage, baked potatoes, ham and fried chicken. It is the first all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant that we have been to, and I assume that most of this type of eatery are similar. The selection of food is outstanding and the quality is very high. Even though it is very busy you will find an empty table. There's no distracting loud music and people are fairly quiet and patient while waiting their turn at the buffet stations. If you're a vegetarian, they got you. If you're a carnivore, there are plenty of meat selections. From pizza to steaks and spinach to tacos, the selection is amazing. This was my family's first time at this particular location. I been to Golden Corral's all over the United States and some are good and some are bad. Tyler's location is definitely bad. We got there about 1:30 so just as the lunch rush was ending. We got drinks, paid the cashier and went to find a table. That's when the problem began, Literally every table as soon as you walked in all the way towards the back were cluttered with dirty dishes. It was absolutely disgusting and not what you wanted to see when you first walked into a restaurant. We ended up walking more towards the end of the restaurant and saw a six top table. Knowing that a lot of big families or groups come to GC we did not want to take up any needless extra space. I saw the waitress behind me and went to ask her if she could clean up a booth so that we could have a smaller table. I said excuse me and before I could even say another word this rude waitress screamed at me that she was busy and didn't have time for me. Huge negative impact from your staff. Obviously she wasn't doing a very good job because as I said the majority of the tables were littered with dirty dishes. The floors were absolutely disgusting and had not been clean for quite a while. Two other customers at two different tables were shocked at her reaction and were appalled that she even had the nerve to scream at a paying customer. They said they had been there for an hour at least and this staff member hadn't cleaned off any of the tables or cleaned the floor since they had been there. Regardless of this interaction with this staff remember we decided to enjoy our meals together. The staff member continuously came around to make up for her screaming at me. She kept stopping by the table asking if everything was okay and I finally had to tell her to just go away and leave us alone. Like literally every time I put food in my mouth here she wanted to know if everything was fine. No everything was not fine, You ruined my perfectly happy day! The moment you screamed at me. Now as far as the food go, this is probably one of the worst GC's I have been to. The staff here. Didn't really care to keep the food areas stocked. They also do not have as many options as I've seen in other GC's. And they did not even have an open grill area which made me sad because that is the main reason why I love going to GC. read more

There was a young waitress wearing glasses who was Sweeping the carpet with a broom and dustpan less than 2ft away from where Me and 8 other family members were. I politely asked if she would mind NOT Sweeping while We ate. Because I was sitting right next to her and she was sweeping I didn't want the dust flying in my food. The Disgusting Worker Said and I Quote, "I will stop sweeping when i am finished!" I said excuse me I am asking that you stop while I am eating. She rudely repeated herself and said she would when she was finished and proceeded to sweep. Worst experience ever! Due to COVID, they serve the food and cannot hear you or pay attention to you when you ask for items. For instance, made a salad, then put dressing all over the top of everything including pasta salad. I just left very irritated. Then tried the hot items and they use the same knife on the Turkey and the ham. I don't eat pork! I'm not planning to return unless they do like the buffet style restaurants in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and give out serving style gloves and you can get your own food buffet style. Not a problem with food. Went for lunch place very busy. I never carry cash. Used credit card to pay for lunch. Cashier didn't ask me if I wanted to leave a tip. Once cashier gave me the receipt I asked "where do I leave a tip - I don't have cash in on me". She said too late and I can't do it now. Cashier didn't seem to care if I left a tip to her co-worker. I sat to eat lunch. Now my very friendly server comes over and I feel horrible. I asked if I could speak to her manager. She get someone called a server manager or at least that what I think she called him. The manager said yes we changed our system today. I said how do you leave a tip he said not really sure. Very very very sad. My server doesn't even make minimum wage just over $2 an hour. She needs tips to survive. Obviously her pathetic employer doesn't care. I went with my sister and two brothers and the food was alright. The quality was very similar to Ryan's except there was more variety and the place was cleaner and better organized. The line was terribly long and we came at 6:40 pm on a Thursday and it persisted even when we were leaving. Which is fair, since it's new. The dishes however, I'd say about 45% of them were dirty, I probably picked out 10 spoons that all had something on them and maybe 2 out of 3 plates I picked up were of similar quality. My sis got a "clean" bowl that looked like it hadn't been washed at all. Overall I'd say the experience was mediocre anything below that was probably because it was so darn busy but I asked my siblings and they gave it about 3/3.5 rating. The food wasn't bad though. I actually thought it was decent. I was told the steak was rather salty. However the staff was attentive and they worked very well together coordinating seating people since it was so packed. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, as were the people in the front. Mostly it was just the dirty dishes and silverware that bugged me and the food that earned them a 3 star rating. The food is good although the management team from my point of view isn't the best. I see how the waitresses stress and try their best to get to each table. I know that can be stressful but what I really dislike is the lack that of effort from the managers. They can be going around each table insuring that everything is ok. I went today around 11:40am and one of the managers was just chit chatting laughing instead of helping the servers. My mom and I ordered a couple of creamers and it took them 15 minutes to do so she forgot and that's ok. Me and my mother went to Golden Corral on December 4th and no one waited on us at all! My mother had to chase down a waiter to get our drinks refilled! When we left, there was a big pile of dirty dishes on our table. Every single plate we ate off of. This is newly opened this year and our first time to try it. It has been over 10 years since the old one closed on the loop. The new one went into the building that Ryan's buffet was. It is a great improvement. We went for lunch and the food was all fresh and warm. There was some of the breakfast items that was still out. There seemed to have the normal selection of breakfast items. Eggs, biscuits, pancakes, gravy, sausage, bacon, hash browns and French toast. The lunch items offered a large selection of american, Italian and Mexican cuisines. We tried a little of all of them. We liked the fried catfish, meatloaf, fried okra, fried pickles, fried chicken, the salads, tator tots and carrot cake the most. The least favorite was the pulled pork, Mac and cheese, baked potato, bourbon chicken, loaded baked potatoes and German chocolate cake. The potato dishes were good except they were not quite done all the way thru. The cake part of the gcc was very dry and hard. We need to acknowledge the waitress we had. Her name was Shelby. She was very attentive and checked on us numerous times. Our plates were picked up promptly and our glasses never got below half empty. We were lucky to have chosen her table. My wife and I were on our second visit to my new pain specialist yesterday in Tyler and found this place totally by accident as we were leaving the city by a different way than we came. This is the cleanest and most friendly Golden Corral we have ever had the pleasure to visit. The food variety was awesome and the serving staff was so kind and very helpful in every way. Our table attendee checked with us often for any need we may have. She even offered to refill our drinks to carry out with us as we were leaving. This was their second day of business and it was fantastic! There was a line to get in the door but it moved pretty quickly. Employees were very nice. It was Saturday so the adult buffet is $13.99, Seniors $13.19, my 12 yr old was only $5.49. With drink. Adult and senior prices do not include drinks, that is extra. We had to wait a little to get seated because it was really busy. No problem we were not in a hurry. The salad bar had plenty of choices, including a Caesar salad, fresh fruits, guacamole, cottage cheese, potato salad, mushrooms, black olives and chicken breast slices. They had soups and Chili to one side of the salad bar too. Main food bar had, catfish, pot roast, fried shrimp, tacos, pizza, baby carrots, fried chicken,bourbon Chicken, mac n cheese, several veggies, meatloaf, sausage links, and they were grilling steaks. The dessert bar had, New York Cheesecake, Carrot cake, bread pudding, ice cream, fudge brownies, some sugar free cookies, loads of stuff. The coolest thing was the Chocolate fountain, that you could put skewered strawberries under. My family, 6 of us this time really enjoyed the food. Everything was so tasty and we will return.
