I have never had a bad meal here. My steaks have always been cooked correctly with great seasonings. I love the Texas okra.

Husband took me to Longhorns for a late lunch on the Friday before Mothers Day. We were seated next to a very loud large group when there were many other available tables I would rather have sat at. The bread came out. It was good but not fresh. Then waitress brought us out a fresh loaf... so much better. The food was ok. I ordered salmon and loaded potato with side salad.Salad came out late and waitress removed it from our ticket. Husbands fries were sooo incredibly salty. I have had issues with the saltiness of the food on previous visits also. Overall nice visit but some things could be improved on. read more

We were told the wait would be about 5 minutes, no big deal, but there were only a few tables occupied. That should have been our first clue. The waitress took our drink orders. Sweet tea, but she brought unsweet. They had to make more sweet tea. She then walked past our table several times and spent time visiting with co-workers before she took our food order. There was about 10 minutes between getting our drinks and the waitress taking our food order. The food was good, but the service was terrible. Our drinks were never refilled, no one checked to see if we needed anything, and we had to alert a waitress that was not ours to get our ticket so we could pay. Terribly disappointing. We frequently go to this location and weve never had a problem, tonight we go and they're not busy at all but it takes 10 minutes to get a table, thats fine no biggie. Holy moley is this place good!! We have been here twice now and both times we had exceptional service, amazing, perfectly cooked steaks (omgosh were they good!), super tasty sides...I could go on and on. It's a nice atmosphere as well and the restaurant was very clean. I absolutely loved the seasoning on the steaks and when I requested an in-between temp of between medium and medium rare, that's exactly what I got! So many places don't know how to gauge meat temps, but Longhorn does it perfectly! Way better than any other middle of the road steak house we have been to. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. It's not inexpensive by any means, but it's not over priced either. I'm so happy to have found a good steak house that knows how to cook their steaks with love and perfection! PS - say yes to the bread. It's amazing as well! read more

Really do love Longhorn Steakhouse & staff but today exceeded even all of our other successful encounters! We were greeted by the hostess Jay and she was so exuberant! We were seated right away & Madison was our server. She was just so sweet & attentive! Never needed to ask for drinks or bread. Our food was excellent as usual. The manager was so cool too! Our family celebrated New Year's Eve here! Very authentic atmosphere. Took picture of Texas 'flag' all made out of Texas license plates. Our server: Emmalee, was spectacular! Great, upbeat personality & demeanor. Always had a smile. All four (4) of us enjoyed our meals. My wife, mother in law & daughter all selected combo plates. I went with the medium rare 12oz New York Strip. All was very tasty but honestly, some was served on the cool almost cold side. No fault or reflection on Emmalee I'm sure. Great time tonight. Yes, Longhorn is a chain restaurant. (First time I ate here was way down in the Rio Grande Valley.) But you won't go wrong going here and having a steak. You really won't. Their portions are generous, prices are good for a steak house, and the complementary loaf of bread is always a nice touch. I had the New York Strip steak with parmesan cheese crust (!), medium done, and a sweet baked potato with cinnamon and butter. Perhaps it's because it's Easter and I was fasting all day, but when I had the first bite of that steak it just hit my taste buds. Cannot recommend enough that parmesan cheese crust. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It is a typical steak house on the level of Texas Roadhouse and Outback. Atmosphere was fine, it felt a little dated. Menu selection was acceptable for this level of restaurant. I ordered the ribeye and my wife has the filet. Both ordered at medium rare. Sides were house salad and backed potato with all the fixings. They do offer bread with the meal and it wasn't nearly as good as the other two restaurants mentioned above. The sides were ok. Nothing to fancy about them. The steaks were not that great. The quality of the meat seemed a bit subpar. I like trying places that I don't have by home, but if I could do it again, I'd just go to Texas Roadhouse. As we say, "the water was great"! Visiting family and went to this statehouse the food came and half was cold. Talking to the manager to let him know about it. He asked if he could warm it up and was told no thank you because we don't like to send food back. The manager said why with a smile "you don't trust me " with a smart Attitude and when we said yes we don't he just Laughed and walked away. I visited this location about a month back and I have to say it was the best experience. First of all, our server, Ashley, was very sweet and attentive. She made great recommendations and hit every step of service without missing a beat. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Brussels sprouts were delicious! The thing that really topped it off for me was the management. I didn't get her full name but my server told me her name was Kiki I believe.. So I am a breastfeeding mother. During our meal I had my little one covered and nursing, and I see a manager approaching the table. I'm thinking, well she's going to come over here and ask me to stop nursing. Nope. She came over and took my plate from me, because my hands were occupied and CUT my steak for me! I GM an upscale fine dining restaurant in Dallas so hospitality means so much to me, and KiKi elevated our whole experience with that one gesture. Y'all have a guest for life! Give Kiki a raise.
