Since when do you have to be id for birthday songs ??? we went there for my 18th birthday and They asked for an ID just to sing me a birthday song and maybe give me a whipped cream cake. Why do you need my ID for that? Had the Saturday dinner buffet. Friendly staff, quick to refill drinks and clear empty plates, great variety of food. A few items were room temp like the fried fish but overall most things were above average for a buffet and only 1 or two things were below average but the good things more than made up for it . When I took the last 5 raw oysters I heard an employee tell another employee to bring some more oysters out ànd they kept the oyster section full the rest of the time I was there. This place used to be decently good for a buffet but sadly it seems things have declined substantially. I have stopped in here several times but my most recent visit was the first in quite awhile and it has really gone downhill from what it used to be. Overall I don't think I will make a return visit as the food just wasn't great quality and the price was on the more expensive side for this type of food even when it is good quality. read more

Myself and 2 friends went to have dinner at the golden dragon last night 10/02/21.when we left to the parking lot our female friend got vomiting sick, myself and other friend when we got back to house got vomiting ill. Today I called and talked to manager who immediately got on defensive saying 600 people ate there yesterday and nobody complained. I explained that if only one of us got sick I'd understand it might possibly not be place. He told us to go to the doctors doctor and hung up. Not really the response I was looking for. Just had dinner here a few minutes ago. The food was flavorful but some dishes were just a tad bit too salty for my taste. The buffet was big and food stayed steaming hot at all times. The veggies were crispy and not overcooked. Their egg custard cake was a bit different from the others that I've tasted from other Chinese buffet/dim sum places I've been to. Have been in the area for a year now and have been going to this restaurant. I've always gotten my food to go so this is not a review on dine-in service. I've never seen a food server or host/hostess without a mask or gloves. For the most part, they're pretty diligent on making sure guests have a mask or provide them with one while inside with exception of actively eating. They also require guest to where gloves when spooning food and will politely ask you to glove up if they see someone without. The food area is clean. My experiences here have been great. The food is good and the establishment takes the spread of Covid-19 seriously. read more

For 12 dollar ~ all you can eat buffet ~ i not can become 5* food buffet, but is a good 3* buffet for less money. I used to eat here a lot... only for the sashimi and other seafood. I put up with the dirty carpet and the rude staff for a few select items on the menu and a 40 minute drive... The manager or owner person who barks at the customers is the worst. I took my mom and twins there and he literally treated my kids like a 1/2 person combined. He acted annoyed that we wanted a table big enough for 4 people and even argued with us to the point we almost left on the spot. Sadly, that was not the first time he literally fought with us about a table. Moving on... want crab crackers? You will be finished with and entire plate of crab using your fingers and fork/knife before they come. In fact, the server may bring them after she brings your check and takes all your used plates. Want enough napkins to clean the seafood juice off your fingers? You have to ask for them (at a buffet) and then when you do get them they give you a tiny stack of napkins that you need at least 3 at once because they are so cheap they disintegrate and then you are asking for more every 2 minutes... then surprise! More rudeness... Want sushi or sashimi? There is a lady standing back there behind the bar but she is rarely making items. When she does make the items she moves slower than a snail. I waited over an hour for her to put out more sashimi (3 varieties with no more than 3-4 pieces of each) and ended up leaving before she started making them and all the while I was watching her stand back there and eat her own dinner. So if you are looking for a place to eat that is stained, somewhat dirty and sticky with super rude employees that will even yell at you and fight with you and a place that might put more of what people actually come for out before you're done eating and leave for a decent price... this is the place for you. If not, there is a similar place in Covington that is actually clean and the staff is pretty timely AND friendly. Golden Dragon has lost my business for good after several (many) chances and I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to eat the norm Chinese buffet items and crab legs with your fingers and regular silverware and wipe your hands on your pants. read more

Originally from southern MS, I know buffets! Also, I have tried copious buffets throughout life. While having sworn them out of my nutritional conquest, thisa buffet is very different. The sushi is fresh AND varied. They don't simply provide the California and other blah rolls you see elsewhere. I have never eaten sushi on a confident basis EVER from a buffet, in fact. The savory food is fresh, crisp, and tasty. They make egg custard tarts in a phyllo cup. Add some praline ice cream atop, and you have a great dessert. DO NOT weigh yourself the day after. He also embarrassed us by announcing no one wants to see a dog in restaurant. He further embarrassed us by loudly announcing to anyone he seated near us "do you care if you are close to a dog".
