This is definitely a hole in the wall. Take out only. Mom and Pop run business. We ordered Chow Mein, Pork Egg Fu Yung, and Lemon Chicken. Everything looked very appetizing. The chicken was fried to perfection. Chow Mein had lots of veggies as did the Egg Fu Yung. The sauce for the egg dish was a bit too thin for my guest, but overall everything was pretty good. Went in to pick up order and it was soooo dirty in there. There was a lizard skeleton behind a paper on the wall by the register, I brought it to their attention and they did not care at all. We ordered again and this time the yang chow fried rice was so undercooked the rice crunched! There was hardly any protein in the rice and it was unflavored. Wow, haven't had Chinese this good in a really long time. Got my staple, the cashew chicken with white rice, egg rolls and won ton soup delivered by a super nice older guy. "I've brought the Chinese" he said when I opened the door and was so friendly I wanted to invite him in to share! But I digress, there was a delicious hint of 5 spice in the warm brown sauce, and plenty of veggies too; water chestnuts, real Chinese mushrooms, celery, bamboo and carrots and loads of cashews! The rice was perfectly steamed and the soup was flavorful and rich. The egg rolls have yet to be eaten, as I like them cold from the fridge with duck sauce, but they are fat and lightly fried. We used to order from Golden Dragon all the time. Always have had a great experience, but will relay the last experience. I ordered chinese for dinner and went to pick it up. Paid and the lady handed me my bags. Got home and realized that they lady had not only given my my order, but someone else's as well. I start putting out food for my kids while calling the restaurant to let them know that I have someone else's order. In a nutshell, the asked me to bring it back and once I did, a person from the back came up and took that bag. I stated that " reheating the food and sending it back out would be a very bad unsanitary idea." I left but felt that they had every intention of reheating the food and sending it back out. This place has some pretty good NY style Chinese food. Their food is flavorful and fresh. We were impressed by how freshly made the food taste; the vegetables were crisp, including the onions and the chicken portions in our meal filling. The chicken wings were ok, basic but not a favorite. What we liked about the place was the price and generous portion sizes, especially in comparison to other places we frequent. There was a longer than usual wait time but we chalked it up to the food being made fresh.
