Went there for breakfast and had scrambled eggs, home fries, and scrapple. The scrapple was perfection and our server was very kind and attentive. We had three people at the table and she brought us two of coffees so that we didn't have to keep bothering her, which was nice. It was very clean and decoration was modern and fitting for your everyday diner. There's not a lot of options restaurants in the Seaford area, but this is a definite place that my family has put in our rotation. read more

This is a typical, classic diner. We had good service with our waitress and some people in my party enjoyed the breakfast buffet, on a Saturday morning. The buffet had pretty much everything that was on the breakfast menu; you could even order a specific type of eggs if you didn't want scrambled. My family really enjoyed the food from the buffet. I ordered the Spanish omelet and was pleased with it. It came with a lot of salsa, but I just put what I didn't want to the side. The omelet had a great amount of veggies! The homefries could have been crunchier, but tasted fine. I also got 2 pieces of buttered toast with my meal. My son enjoyed his kids French toast meal too. I would come back since it met my expectations of a classic diner with appropriate prices. read more

Stopped by for lunch. We were seated immediately. The place was a bit dark and the table tops looked like Edward scissor hands cut it up. No really the top had all these knife cuts in it. Weird. The waitress was prompt and friendly. We ordered chicken parm and cheeseburger club sandwich. They came with either ceaser salad,salad bar or soup. We got a cream of crab soup and salad bar. I would rather make my own if I have a choice. The salad bar had all the regular items including beets,onions and several dressings. Everything was fresh tasting and colorful. The crab soup was surprisingly tasty with good size pieces of crab. The chicken parm cam out at was very tasty with 2 pieces of chicken and a adequate amount of pasta with sauce. I liked it and I seem to use that to determine if I'll go back to a place by how good the parm is.The cheeseburger club was good with a good size burger good cheese and a lot of bacon. Not to bad. The meal also came with desert . Ice cream ,pudding or bread budding. We were to full and had to take it home. We will be back to try other items . A family-owned diner since 1996 that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week.  I want to like this place I honestly do but unfortunately, I do not. The menu is huge, the food is bland and not worth the money you are forking out. I just can't get over the size of this menu. If they would trim it down focus on a few dishes for each service then they might have a chance. Normally I go into great detail on vast many aspects of the restaurant. Today I am not. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The loyal patrons must be used to whitewashed food with no seasoning. read more

Overpriced, bland, institutional grade "food" that barely passes as such. I've been served better at my father's old-age home. Paid $9 for a slice of cake that tasted like Betty Crocker with canned frosting. Green beans were cooked so much they didn't even hold their own shape anymore, and tasted as if they were cooked in dirty dishwater. I stopped in this dinner recently when traveling back from the Eastern Shore. I ended up getting the Philly Cheesesteak (one of my staples) and it was very well made. The meat wasn't too dry and the cheese was melted just the way that I like. The service was good and friendly overall. The area seemed to be clean and decently maintained as well. I would stop in again if I happen to pass through the area in the future. There was one menu online that I referenced before going in and there was an initial dish that I wanted to try that was no longer offered. The manager said that he could make a similar dish if requested but I just suck with the cheesesteak instead. I'd suggest updating those pictures to avoid any confusion among future customers. We just moved to Seaford in 2020, And we tried the dinner across from this one until we started to have food issues, so we decided to try this establishment. We loved it at first until the last couple months. Our food is either burnt or not a full order In which we paid for. When brought to the staff attention we got "They said you can come back " uhh No" I just drove from my house to get my food now I have to turn right back around for my missing items. There was no we can have it for you on your next visit or nothing, no percentage taking of for next time, bottom line is we will not be going here anymore, also we called multiple times to speak to the manager, and every time it's an excuse why he can't take our call. The soup was delicious. It was very good. The mashed potatoes and greens....left a little to be desired. The potatoes were better than the greens. The gravy was not overly seasoned. My opened face turkey and cranberry on the other hand, was the bees knees. It was very delicious. read more

This has easily become one of our favorite restaurants. Delicious food and great service. We love getting breakfast on the weekends!

It's a diner wannabe. The chicken Alfred had chunks of rib meat in it, the noodles were soft but the sauce had cheese in it and it was very bland. The fish & chips was too crisp and saturated in oil, fries were basic. The fried shrimp was ok. I eat at diners all over Delaware and for the price I could've eaten at the Cheesecake Factory. Definitely won't be visiting again with so many better diners in close proximity. read more

Excellent Service & Delicious food!! I had to kill a couple of hours in the afternoon in Seaford while my son was at Tidal Care Hospital so I decided to check out the Golden Eagle Diner. So glad I did ! I was greeted and sat immediately and at Noon nonetheless. My drink was served within a minute of being seated. There were so many yummy items on the menu from which to choose. I went with the Eagle Burger at the top of their list of burgers. Wise choice. Cooked it Medium Rare to perfection. It came with mushrooms, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato. The chicken orzo soup came with it. Very tasty. The French Fries are golden and crispy. I told the server WANDA (who seems to know almost every customer in the restaurant) that the fries put McDonalds and Arbys to shame !!! You can see the attached pictures of my order. Food was so good that I even ordered 2 Sub Sandwiches to take out with me!! I would highly recommend this Diner to anyone in the area looking for a decent meal at at great price with excellent service ! read more

Great service and food. The seafood bisque was awesome. We had the bacon, cheese and beef wrap and it was great.

My girlfriend and I went here last night. If I could give this place no stars I would. If I could smack the chef in the face I would because I feel like a 10 year old made my food. Even then, a 10 year old would probably make better food. Cheese whiz and under cooked bacon on potato skins, the turkey was so dry I got cotton mouth, we had to ask the server for literally everything from refills to even getting napkins (and they skimped us on the napkins). Terrible establishment with terrible food, over priced, and bad service. Never go here. Apparently their competition is Star Gate Diner across the street...and there is no competition. Want diner food and the diner experience that'll actually be good and you'll receive good service? Go to Star Gate Diner. Golden Eagle please shut down. read more

I had food delivered from The Golden Eagle Diner to my Mom in Seaford. I have been there in the past with her and never had any issues. My mom and her fiancé are elderly, very sick and too weak to prepare food. I live 2 hours away so I ordered them food and had it delivered by door dash. The food was delivered promptly but was overcooked and terrible. I called the restaurant, asked for a manager and spoke with Fred. I explained the situation and from Fred received no compassion. he reacted angrily and was insulted I complained about the $40 meal I purchased for my sick family that couldn't be eaten. I expected a refund, a partial refund, a gift certificate, an apology or something and he wasn't having it. He wanted the food brought back so he could inspect it and see if it was overcooked. Again, i explained that my mom is so sick, she can't stand in the kitchen long enough to prepare a meal and she surely wasn't getting in the car and driving. FRED LITERALLY HUNG UP ON ME. I was nothing but polite and matter of fact about what had happened. I SUGGEST EATING SOMEWHERE ELSE. Fred is insensitive, unaccommodating and rude serving overcooked food to be delivered. I'm not sure why the review says I'm located in San Fran but I am not. read more

Great place to eat breakfast all day long! I ordered the 1-1-1 on the menu...one large blueberry pancake, one egg and one sausage! The meal was hot, fresh and delicious for a good price!!! They also carry cakes and pies from Smith Island that would make a great late night treat! read more

Conveniently located, my coworker and I had dinner here. The salad bar was good. The menu choices were good, lots of variety to choose from. The service was friendly and attentive, but slow getting the food to us. We weren't in a hurry, so no problem. Portion sizes were generous. I had shrimp & scallop scampi. I wouldn't call it scampi, it had a thick sauce like buttery gravy on it. Not a bad taste but not what I would call scampi. The shrimp and linguini were good but the sauce and the scallops were not so much. My coworker got a broiled fish selection, and it looked good. He said it tasted good too. This place was next door to our hotel so it was convenient. My bf and I were both pleasantly surprised by the food and customer service. We both had the Seafood Omlette and we both agree that they were pretty generous with the seafood. It was DELICIOUS...it taste like good ole' homecookin'. We hadn't eaten at the Golden Eagle for perhaps 15 years, back when they were in their old building. At the last minute I decided to give it a try. Maybe we were missing something great? Um...no. First, let me say that everyone was very friendly. Service was prompt; the location is very convenient. Everything seemed clean. Unfortunately, much of the food was close to inedible. (I say this as someone known to have an iron stomach!) My wife had ham with topped with what was basically canned fruit cocktail with some raisins and maybe corn starch? Her coleslaw was bland; the collard greens reminded me of what they served us with school lunches (and which turned kids off on ever wanting the stuff!) I was thinking of the liver and onions over at Federalsburg Family Restaurant (which are quite good) when I ordered the Golden Eagle version. Perhaps the worst I've had: thin, dry, very strong, with some chopped onions tossed on top but not really cooked with the liver or gravy. No bacon. I ordered the beets, oddly flavored with oregano, and stewed tomatoes. Ugh, another disaster: just canned, whole tomatoes heated up with a slice of bell pepper without any real seasoning. The meals came with soup so we both ordered cream of crab. My wife described it as "flour soup". I've had worse; I would be okay getting it again. Like most diners such as this, you also get a dessert. She got rice pudding while I went with the bread pudding. While they weren't exciting, they weren't bad, and were easily the best part of our meal. There is a lot of potential here; like most such diners the concentration seems to be quantity over quality. If only they were limit themselves to a smaller menu, then work on getting those select few items right? Maybe it doesn't matter: they had a decent dinner crowd while we were there. My wife commented that the repeat customers must be folks whose taste-buds are worn out! read more

She went and told the owner and the waitress came out and told us the owner said "I do not care." We told her that we would not be returning.
