We were referred to Roger by San Diego Marble and Tile in Encinitas (fantastic tile store btw!). Roger was prompt in getting back to us when we reached out to him and it was obvious from the start that he truly is an artisan. His work throughout our condo is so professional and meticulous, and I almost get anxious just thinking about what our remodel might have looked like if we had gone in a different direction. He thought of so many details and planned ahead for possible issues, and the results show it. Roger is kind, easy to work with, and trustworthy, and his pricing is reasonable and worth every penny. We live in a tract home and things aren't always exactly plumb (ugh), and we really put Roger to the test with our gorgeous 24" by 48" Arizona Tile Shibusa Bianco tiles (btw, these tiles are especially beautiful IRL and feel fantastic on the feet with good traction...love Arizona Tile!). Roger had to do considerable work floating the floors in the kitchen and master bathroom and wow oh wow we are enjoying his work every day!!! Just check out the attached photo of where the tile floor meets our Lalegno white oak floors in the dining room...stunning!!! I thought for sure we would need transition pieces, but Roger and our wood installer Stone from Interior Technique Flooring in San Marcos did what seemed to be the impossible. Roger also did an incredible job installing our authentic Zellige tile from Zile Tile (we highly recommend Zia as well for Zellige) around our condo in the kitchen, dining room, master bathroom, powder room (the mitered edges in kitchen, master bathroom, and powder room are sooooooo gorgeous!), and living room fireplace. For the fireplace, I wanted our EcoSmart 32SS Flex bioethanol unit to be flush to the wall for a more modern look. I really don't know how Roger made everything so symmetrical with exactly three rows of 2" by 2" Zellige tiles going around the opening along with the honed marble trim. Wowwwiiiieeee!!! In our upstairs bathrooms, we went with approximately 1' by 3' tiles from San Diego Marble and Tile (Encinitas location) to minimize grout lines (I prefer less grout lines where there's also going to be lot's of water) and Roger wisely decided to go the extra mile and mud-float the master shower to keep everything plumb. Our idea for the charcoal accent penny round rows in the master shower came from a fun design I saw on THELIFESTYLEDCO YouTube channel (64th Build; "Moody and Modern"). Roger surprised us by wrapping the dots around on the front ends of both sides of the shower...so sweet and it makes me smile whenever I look at them! I could go on and on but the photos say it all and more. We can't begin to thank Roger enough for his dedication, kindness, patience, creativity, and top-level skill!

Everything checked out and we called them to come out to our home to give us a bid on the design for the back yard along with replacing an old hvac system . We liked the price and Forman so we decided to hire them for both jobs. I'm happy to report it all worked out and we are satisfied with their work. We had a great experience and would use them again in the future for other projects .

They left a hole in barbeque cover when they moved it, also left a hole in the vinyl siding on the house, left trash all over the yard, they were also going to replace the front step railing so they ripped it out, but just left it laying in the front yard and didn't do a new rail. They were also supposed to leave the good wood from the old deck, which they didn't do, they took it all to the dump The problem as I saw it was because Alex left the whole job to his workers and never supervised them.

Pablo's masonry work did a great job replacing my fireplace bricks. They were adobe but moisture…read morewas getting into them and making them bubble, crack and disintegrate, unfortunately. I don't want to spend a ton of money so he replaced the adobe bricks with cinder blocks that were the same size and shape and had the texture of adobe. Pablo then painted it. He and his son did a really nice job. They built a frame around the fireplace so the dust would be contained during demo and replacement. It only took 1 day to do the bulk of the work before returning 2 days later to paint it the same matching color. I'm happy with the work they did!

I ended up on Yelp and zero'd in on Pablo's Masonry Work because of the good reviews. I called him, spoke to him, sent him pics and he came out the next day which was yesterday. He repaired the problem and addressed a few other flagstone issues while he was here. He was professional, hard working and did a great job. He kept the area clean, cleaned up after himself and has a very pleasant demeanor. I asked him if he knew someone who could build a fence and it turns out he does everything. So now I am waiting on a bid from him to do the fence and eaves. I can tell he's a perfectionist who takes pride in his work and delivers quality results. So nice to find honest, hardworking and dependable people to do work that I have no expertise or interest in doing myself. I've been fixing up my house for years. It's a large wooden house near the beach. It's taking me…read moreso long and there's so many things to do that right around the time I'm getting close to completion the things I did a couple years ago need re-doing. It's a lot like owning a boat but I love the place. The exterior is covered with shake singles. They've been rotting and have provided a constant source of yummy food for the termites for many years. I have had several handymen and painters that promised they'd rehabilitate the shingles. Either they don't fix all the shingles or they do a bad job. I had almost given up. I found Excel Siding on "Thumbtack" I think. Finally I got someone that knows what they're doing. It wasn't cheap but l could see it was a lot of work. The inexpensive guys (handymen and painters) didn't charge much but didn't the job done either. So I'm happy with these guys and in a couple years (good grief) I'll probably have to hire them again.

This is after checking references and receiving a contract. I have no idea if they are actually good at what they do, because I never got that far. If you need to remodel or rebuild - the last thing you need is additional stress or someone to waste your time. They did both. And their quote was easily $10K more than any other company I spoke to. So consider that as well. If I could give a zero, it would be warranted here. Don't bother responding to my review. Since you dropped my project only days before my demolition was scheduled, your feedback is worthless and I'm not interested in anything you have to say.

The price was also competitive and the estimate was very detailed. Raffy and his team work really hard. I didn't know what to expect during a kitchen remodel and let me tell you that not having a kitchen really sucks but the end result is worth it. It took about 5 weeks. There were a couple of hiccups (minor things) but Raffy and his team were quick to fix or make right. Overall, I would recommend. Amazing job!
