Called for a free estimate for fixing some stand pipes on roof that solar company said had deteriorated and needed repair or replace. Roofix answered my request expeditiously, and said could have an estimator come out in afternoon to provide quote. Estimator came at appointment time, I explained situation and also asked if he could kindly take a look around roof for any roof or tile issues, he went on roof and came down to show me pictures of issues he found and provide quote to repair stand pipes along with some tiles that had slipped and flashing that needed to be sealed. He said he had equipment and items to complete all repairs and that afternoon and could provide discount since would save them a trip back, the quote was reasonable and he completed all repairs with pictures of repaired items. They will waste your time and then give you a ridiculous high quote! I had Roofix come out for a quote to clean out my rain gutters and fix any minor roof issues. I had a lift and replace when I did solar panels a couple of years ago so I know it was in decent shape. The guy that came out seemed that he could care less about the rain gutters. He walked the roof and mentioned that it was in pretty good shape except for a few loose tiles. There was one corner I showed him where the tiles seemed to far apart on a small valley flashing area and he suggested it was an easy fix. After a week I called them because I had not received a quote. I had to call again a few days later and then finally received it. It was a few thousand dollars and I was surprised. It mentioned fixing and replacing cracked tiles, redoing flashing, etc. It also stated that they would "hose" out my gutters. Well I asked them if I had any broken tiles, exposed nails, etc., and to break the quote up between my rain gutter cleaning and roof repairs. They never answered the broken tile questions but did send a new quote splitting the cost for the roof repairs and wanting $1,500 to hose out my rain gutters and $1,500. A water hose was not going to clean out the gunk in my gutters. I know because I have tried that on the lower gutters. I ended up hiring a reputable rain gutter cleaning service and they spent hours scooping and scraping the rain gutters and filled up a 5 gal bucket with stuff. They also fixed a couple of corner leaks and hammered in the gutters since there were some gaps. Did a great job for approximately 1/3rd the price. They mentioned that my roof looked fine and did not see any broken tiles. My son and I used his drone and did not see any broken tiles either. When I mentioned to Roofix my dissatisfaction with their quote, they came back with a response that fixing a roof is considerable investment and it was unfortunate that it was not within my budget LOL. They ignored the entire problem of the excessive quote and suggesting they were going to be fixing fixing things that are not broke. I am surprised at their good reviews given the terrible experience that I had. read more

Sergio came to my house to quote for a roof leak repair. He pointed out that my issue was the wood siding, and not the roof. He was honest saying that a general contractor or handyman could likely fix the issue for cheaper than he + his crew, but provided a quote for his crew to fix it if desired. Looking for a roofing company can be daunting. After all, this is the most important part of keeping your home safe from the elements, protecting your most valuable asset. All we can really go on (besides word of mouth) are a company's reviews. I saw that Roofix had 5-star ratings across the board. From the beginning of when I first met Sergio when he came out for an estimate, I felt pretty confident that he knew his industry. I knew our particular home, a Spanish style 2-story with clay roof tiles, would be a challenge. There were hips and valleys that would need to be done correctly. We had a few roofers out to the house for an estimate, and frankly, my confidence in them was weak. (One even tried to fix a leak immediately. See photos vs Roofix's amazing work.) And really, unless you get up on your roof yourself, you don't know what's up there, what is damaged and whether someone will really do the work correctly. Sergio's estimate was in between the two others. But the work Roofix did was outstanding! Every morning his crew showed up early and ready to get started immediately. They worked sometimes 12 hours per day in the heat of summer and got the house roof and detached garage completed in 7 days. Even my neighbor commented on how hard these guys were working day after day. They cleaned up each day before they left. There were several areas of our roof that had been leaking through the years, requiring plywood to be replaced, prior to putting the roofing materials back on. They did it, no problem. Also, we have rain gutters on our house and they made sure that the correct materials were installed so that the rain would fall into the gutters instead of behind them, rotting out the fascia boards. Speaking of which... we had 3 fascia boards that WERE rotted out because the gutter company never made sure the roofing materials allowed the water to go directly into the gutters. Sergio's crew replaced those rotted out fascia boards, put the gutters back in place, and everything is working properly! No more buckets inside the house while it's raining!
