I stepped into this store recently to buy a flower bouquet for the first time and I did not realize that the price they quoted was so cheap until I browsed other shops in the Los angeles area and online. In addition to the great prices, the store owner was very patient and helpful. I was only planning to get a couple of roses but the woman in the store was kind enough to gift wrap it for me, which took about 15 mins if you do it with such care, and charged nothing extra. Came in for a last-minute bridal shower arrangement, and the woman was super accommodating and friendly in putting one together quickly, especially as the bride's colors were not the easiest to work with -- purple, gold and green! The arrangement was gorgeous, and the main wedding florist is now considering copying some of Golden's touches, ie spray painting a bit of gold onto the white flowers & green leaves. I've had a florist for many years, but in the past few months I realized that I wasn't getting the same service as I was getting years ago. I looked at all the posted pictures and they were all beautiful. I called the store and a lovely lady By the name of Rima helped me. I asked her to make one of the same arrangements from the posted pictures, and had it delivered to my friends office for her birthday. Rima did an excellent job on the arrangement, the flowers were fresh, colors vibrant I couldn't of been happier. This store is really a hidden gem, it is located inside another supermarket. The delivery was really complicated and arduous and even so Rima made sure the arrangement got safely to its destination. I found out about this place thanks to all the "golden" reviews. I was staying at the Hilton in Glendale not too far away and needed to buy an arrangement for friends I was going to be visiting. When I first arrived at the location that my GPS guided me to, I panicked because I only saw the huge sign for "Golden Farmers Market", and figured that something was lost in the translation in my Maps app. As it turns out, Golden Flowers is its own independent location within the Golden Farmers Market complex. I asked for a $50 arrangement of fresh cut flowers and was surprised at the outcome, which looked more like a $75-80 arrangement. I know this because I buy a lot of fresh cut floral arrangements whenever I travel and am visiting friends/family. The very next day, I was going to be going to a family brunch and decided to go back to Golden Flowers. I was greeted with the same warmth and friendliness as the first visit the previous day, and was once again blown away by another astounding $50 hand-picked bouquet. This unassuming flower shop is tucked in a corner of the Golden Farms market plaza, but don't be fooled...their arrangements are absolute perfection. Unlike prepared reviewers who've posted here, I showed up without calling before hand to discuss options. No problem. I was greeted by a super friendly lady who picked out a vibrant pink arrangement for my friend (a new mom). I'm no expert on floral aesthetics, but her choice was a work of art (refer to picture) at a very reasonable price. After purchasing the flowers, I spent 10 unsuccessful minutes trying to secure them for the car ride. Magically, a gentleman from the store (perhaps the super friendly lady's husband?) appeared and secured the flowers on the passanger seat in less than 30 seconds. I suspect this is his routine and 10 minutes is the time window customers have before (we'll call him man with impeccable timing) he comes to the rescue. Honestly I was very disappointed with the arrangement and it was nothing like how I had wanted it. I had specifically even asked for orchids and even after she assured me she would include orchids, she didn't! She even told me it would cost extra for orchids, and it cost me a little over $100 plus delivery fee. It didn't look like the amount I had paid for... Wish I had a picture to post..... This is probably a good place to stop and pick up a quick and small arrangement but definitely not to be trusted for a nice flower arrangement to be made and delivered. I frequently see reviews on Yelp where someone writes that they never write reviews but they were tempted to do so for that particular business. I always thought those reviews were b.s. and that person was just paid to write the good review. However, I now find myself being like one of those people who has resorted to writing my first review after being a registered Yelp lurker for many years without a single review. It all started when I decided to send my girlfriend flowers since she had just started a new job and was having a tough time dealing with her attitudey (real word?) and bitchy co-workers. I called another flower shop at 11:00am in Glendale and asked if they could deliver a basket of flowers between 1:00-1:30pm and they said no they can't they are too busy. I then decided to call Golden Flowers when a very nice lady answered the phone and told me she can deliver the flowers for the time I wanted. I informed her what colors my girlfriend likes and she was nice enough to text me pictures of the flowers that she could deliver. Keep in mind I never asked her to send send me the pictures, she offered to do so. After I chose the flowers that I wanted, at exactly 1:19pm I received a text message confirming that the flowers had been delivered! Again something I didn't ask for, the lady was kind enough to just let me know. I really appreciated the extra steps she took to make sure I was satisfied and I most definitely was satisfied. Not to mention the basket of flowers she sent were even more beautiful in person than they already were in the picture. Thank you very much Golden Flowers for making my experience so memorable that I had to write my first ever Yelp review. Service: The Florist was very patient with my indecisive nature, I walked in wanting a bouquet of flowers, then fell in love with an orchid arrangement, and eventually walked out with a plant. She was also very knowledgeable about her plants. It was actually her knowledge of the plant's live spam and the low maintenance requirement that helped in the decision making. Price: Prices ranged depending on style and size of flowers, but seemed to be reasonable to its worth, she was also more than willing to work with my budget. Parking: The Flower shop is located inside a huge super marketing , so there was plenty of convenient parking outside.
