it's on acres of land and the road is surprisingly well paved. There are several training spaces so I recommend going a little early to watch it. There isn't any shade so sunscreen is a must. Located at the very end, suit 18, after arriving we met Denise. So sweet and friendly. her team got the horses saddled up and soon we were each on our individual horses. After being seated we were asked if we were comfortable and then taught how to stop the horses. We signed some paperwork and mentioned our experience levels. I had none and my two friends had some. The horses knew the trail so well and behaved. They knew when to turn, stop, and I felt so safe. I wish I was more vocal during the ride. after about an hour my legs were cramping and needed to be adjusted. I think the foot plate was too high. I also wish we stopped to take pictures too. The trail is gorgeous and the horses were very well behaved. Before we knew it, we were back and exhausted! Loved the experience, very beginning friendly. It's not cheap so shop rates. read more

Been riding here for years and even bought a horse from the owner. Don't listen to the 1 star reviews. Denise is absolutely amazing and has been the kindest for years. the price for lessons was very fair and $60 per person on an hour trail ride was fair too. I had the worst experience at this establishment and it wasn't because of the horses. The owner and staff were so inexplicably and untenably rude that I am appalled. My family and I booked a trail ride for my nephew's birthday. We were so polite from start to finish - in spite of their behavior - but people deserve to know what they can expect from Denise Molinas. Her manners were awful. No eye contact when we walked up and said hello. She knew we were standing right there but just kept talking to her friends/staff. I was about to extend my hand and introduce my family but she literally turned on her heel in silence and went to the stables. No greeting to say, 'Welcome to the Golden Gait Stables'. They didn't have the horses tacked up on time. We stood there for 20-30 minutes with no explanation or apology while they prepared the horses. They were talking and yelling over us - to each other - all the while. When we asked for helmets Ms. Molinas pointed to a box several feet away filled with filthy helmets. When we asked about paying up front she simply said it's '$60 a head'. Are we animals? Actually, her tone of voice and demeanor toward the animals was better than it was to us! They didn't ask our names but said, 'You, get on this horse' or that one. They didn't tell us the names of the horses. We asked because we cared to know. For Pete's sake, they didn't tell us their own names! The girl who lead our trail ride just got on her horse and started going. Before we left I also asked about verbal commands for the horses but Ms. Molinas said, 'you won't need them.' They all knew we were completely inexperienced but told us NOTHING about how to sit, ride, etc. (By the way, I had tried to book a lesson first but she wouldn't let us.) They didn't mention that the ride would be largely around canals and bodies of water with alligators in them. The girl just calmly told us they see alligators come up to the horses all the time. That's fine for her but if our horses got spooked it would mean a death sentence for us - my sister was with me and we can't swim. We wouldn't even know how to jump off of the horses. Moreover, the horse they gave me completely stopped responding to the reigns halfway through the hour long ride and was edging toward the water constantly...I was terrified of slipping off of the narrow path into the water on either side. It was harrowing until we got back. When we did get back they didn't help us off of the horses. I had trouble getting down and my sister got a huge gash down her shin as it scraped on to the wood steps next to her horse. More than anything though, it was the owner's attitude that got me. She did not show us basic decency, let alone the courtesy you would expect from a business woman. She does not deserve your business. read more

I had my first two lessons here a while ago and they were great! I learned how to steer and trot, also learning how to tack up and groom. My trainer was great but I forgot her name it has been so long. I totally recommend this facility! read more

DISAPPOINTED Made an appointment on a Wednesday to take a trail ride on Friday am. Owner said she had my name and number from the phone caller id and said the time I requested would work and rate was $50 per person ( two of us going ) Friday came and she NEVER SHOWED UP. She never answered her phone or returned my text VERY DISAPPOINTED this was a birthday present and we were going to be bringing our kids with us if we liked her horses for future rides. read more

NEVER support a business like this. I made a lesson with them last week. Called today to confirm the lesson. They said they will be canceling my lesson tomorrow and hung up. No apology, no reschedule, no advanced notice. They were rude and unprofessional. Clearly have no commitment to their business. read more

This place was awesome. It can be hard to get a hold of the staff as they primarily communicate via texts, & sometimes email. They are worth it. I went for an hour long trail ride & it was great. The horse I got was calm, easy to ride, & didn't need much guidance from me to follow the trail. This place is great for first time riders. read more
