I decided to eat here on Friday, despite questioning the smell in the restaurant. Had been too loud, I would not have. Another factor was, even though I was the only one in there when I walked in, many groups of people started coming in either to pick up takeout or to have lunch inside. They did not disappoint I ordered the shrimp Penang curry, which is not on the menu for lunch, but it was what I wanted based on a photo from someone else. I placed my order online and it said the wait was 25 minutes. We arrived 40 minutes later and the food was not ready. We waited for another 50 minutes to get our food. I went in to check on our order and they had just told my husband it would be 5 more minutes. We got it 20 minutes later and when we got home the dumplings were cold. While we were there two different people came in for their order that was called in and were told they didn't have their order. Also, another man came to pick up his and he waited for a while then asked how much longer it would be. They said another 10 minutes and he canceled his order. It seemed that the only orders they were filling were Door Dash and not online orders (that must be paid for ahead of time) or call ins. When I asked why it took an 90 minutes from the time the order was placed until we got it all they could say was they had been very busy. No apology or trying to make it right. read more

Very off the beaten path awesome little place. Great service, huge menu, clean place, and very tasty food. House special wonton soup is a full meal inclusive of chicken, beef, shrimp, crab, veggies, etc. Standard wonton soup was also good and a good app size. Spring rolls were crispy and light. General tso chicken looked awesome! Light fry, good presentation however not much spice or flavor. Beef pho was a large portion but the broth lacked a bit of flavor. Both panang and red curries were delicious however not very spicy. We added a lot of chili oil and it didn't have much spice either. That said, still very good but will be pushing for more spice when we return. They do not service alcohol but do take credit cards. Good work! read more

The food was bland and the service was terrible. I ordered for pick up. they said 15-20 minutes. I waited in the parking lot for the 20 minute mark and i still had to wait over half an hour after that. They told me 5 minutes so many times, i lost count. in the end it was just short of an hour. Good food & good service. Small restaurant, we stoped at for lunch on a Tuesday. We were the only customers in the place for most of our meal. We ordered off the main menu, not the lunch menu. We got a plate of general tso shrimp with white rice and chicken mei fun. Both plates had very large portions and the food was very fresh. Lots of chicken and vegetables in the mei fun. Best chinese food around. I drive from Thomasville everytime to this location. The sesame chicken is always fried crisp and all white meat. We love the egg rolls, lomein, and fried rice also. *I'd like to preface this review by saying that we ordered through a delivery service. However, all comments are specifically about the quality and taste of the food delivered, not service of said delivery service.* When our food arrived I was happy to see that the restaurant honored my special request for an order substitution in my General Tso's Tofu (sautéed not fried tofu), which was appreciated. Our crab rangoons were generously filled, as were the egg rolls and steak & cheese rolls (egg rolls filled with seasoned chopped steak and cheese). Entree sizes were large enough to share, which is something I think most have come to expect from a home style Chinese restaurant, so that didn't disappoint. We ordered two large orders of Hot & Sour soup (we are big fans in our house), and the soup was loaded with traditional goodies. However, I think our biggest complaint is that every single dish (aside from the appetizers) had a dominating sweet and sour flavor. Since we ordered Orange Chicken, General Tso's Tofu and Hot & Sour soup, we found that odd, overwhelming and, to be honest, off-putting to the palate. Our food was all one note, there was not variation between bites. Sort of a bummer. We're hoping that it was an anomaly, and wouldn't rule out eating at The Golden Garden again, but probably wouldn't go out of our way to get there. read more

Ordered Delivery on a wednesday at 11:30am...at 12:20pm i called them back (and the lady kept me on hold for 5 mins while placing orders in person) and asked where my food was and they said "we got busy". Ok and? I ordered my food 50 mins ago when it was not "busy". So I asked the delivery driver/manager whoever it was if he was coming now...now mind you..i live a 1/2 mile away from this location. He said "im coming now"......needless to say he definitely did not "come now".
