This is our favorite hotel when visiting family in the area. It is a sprawling resort, as the name…read moreimplies, and there are plenty of hallways, wings, and cultivated grounds to explore. Its an ideal destination for an extended stay. As a former seminary built in the 1940's, the architectural flourishes are second to none. Design aficionados will be in aesthetic heaven. There are three restaurants on site - an Irish Pub, a wine Bar, and a Steakhouse with a bar and breakfast service. The wine bar is definitely worth a visit, whereas I recommend the other two options primarily for their convenience. Service is exceptional and the beds are firm but very comfortable, nonetheless. The in-room TV supports casting TV & movie apps - Netflix, Hulu, etc. - but not music apps, for some reason. Fortunately we brought a WiFi speaker. A few notes on accessibility follow. For context, I can walk with crutches but need to use a wheelchair for long distances. And this hotel is all about long distances. We had an accessible king room, and while the lanes for navigating a wheelchair around the bed are tight, they are manageable. The bed is super comfortable but also very TALL. It could be tricky to transfer to the bed from a wheelchair without assistance of crutches. There is plenty of space in the bathroom and the roll in-shower has a good set up with an accessible shelf for shampoo, etc. Be careful with the bathroom door - it is a very heavy sliding door with a strange locking mechanism. The public spaces in the hotel, including the restrooms, are generally modern and accessible. I also noticed that the pool has a swing chair for water access. One exception is the Irish Pub, which treated accessibility as an afterthought when it was designed. There is no wheelchair access within the hotel - you'll want to drive around to the back to use its parking lot. Additionally, to get to the restroom or the second floor of the pub you'll need to use one of smallest prefab dumb waiters I've ever been in. Finally, be advised that the entrance to the hotel is at the top of a steep hill, and the porte-cochère landing itself is at a slant. Be agile with your brakes, and let your companion park the car after you've exited if you can. Also note that there are only 4 designated accessible parking spaces. We've seen them all full on multiple occasions; for a parking lot of its size, the hotel should probably add about 4 more.

I…read morehave to say I wish I had the opportunity to stay in some of the rooms because just sitting and walking around the grounds prior to the after party for the wedding I was absolutely mesmerized. I highly suggest if you're a golf enthusiast or you're just looking for a place for a tranquil getaway this is an amazing location now although I didn't get a chance to stay in the room, some of the outdoor sitting areas were so relaxing.

I came here to attend the wedding of a friend of mine last weekend. From the outside, it's a pretty unsuspecting building - kind of looks like your typical, kinda boring event hall. Nothing spectacular. But when you pull open those double doors..... You get your breath taken away. Intricate molding, lots of ornate lighting... The place is just GORGEOUS. I was truly blown away. The building is also freaking HUGE. My friend and her husband are both Lebanese, so they naturally had a humongous wedding (over 700), and they all fit inside that building. I was informed by another friend of mine, also a guest at the wedding, that she had recently been to another wedding at Bint Jebail that was over 900 guests. The wedding party took up one wall of the building, and there were scattered round tables along the perimeter for the guests. There was also a huge dance floor and stage area. I definitely recommend having a reception or event here. The staff was friendly and timely. Even the bartender was super friendly, even though it was an open bar. I am unsure of the cost of renting out this place, but it is for sure worth the investigation.

If you want to become a member, the upper floors are open to you with more collaborative and private spaces for you to enjoy! It is a non-profit organization and just a gloriously safe and intentionally-curated space to foster creativity and amazing vibes. I always feel so at peace and centered when I'm at BasBlue and love to take meetings from here as often as I can! It's located very close to the DIA, but only open during the weekdays. This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.

They have a very large amount of tables and chairs but they do not have a large amount of round tables available. We did find that however that did work to our needs. They were extremely helpful during the party hours coming and changing trash as needed without being asked the staff also helped me with extension cords. I would recommend this place hands-down to anybody looking for a venue for graduation party, baby shower, etc. in the Taylor area!
