On Saturday I stopped into this salon to see Kelly I found on Instagram @divanailsbykelly for a nail fill and nail repair for my painful broken nail. Being a foodie, it was only fitting to get Donut Sprinkle Nails. She used Jezza Gel in Baby Pink and Honey's Nail Secret Pro Easy Blending Gel in 04, 06 and 11 for the sprinkles. She took her time on my nails to make sure they were nice and even and repaired my broken nail as well! She also offered me a water bottle to keep me hydrated while I got my nails done, which I gladly took! I will say a couple sprinkles bled, but I was happy otherwise with the final product and took some fun photo-ops at dessert shops to match my nails! I would recommend this small, locally owned salon. First time experienced service at this Salon today and I must say it was rather spectacular. George is very professional hair stylist with attentive approach and quick service and great results! The haircut came out as requested. All I had to do is to show him the picture of my previous fresh haircut from my regular Hair Master from San Francisco. Price is right. I go to this salon for eyelash extensions by Masha. And she always does a great job. Sometimes if the client before me is late, I have to wait a little while. I have never been sexually assaulted and there are always customers here. It is a small salon with very little overhead. I have never gotten a massage or my hair done here, but the individuals who work here are always professional. English is not their first language (from what I understand they are from the Ukraine, not Russia. Yes, there IS a difference), but they do try their best to communicate and learn English, although there is NO official language here in th US. I also have never seen ants and black mold has to be tested by a PROFESSIONAL, not by an unhappy customer's assumptions. Try posting pictures next time if you want to seem credible. read more

Purchased a Groupon for permanent eyebrows. Made the appt. & confirmed address. When I got there was told not right place, had to go midtown. Man at that address, Henadzi Horbaruk, looked like he dressed in the dark drunk. No greeting, no smile, nothing. Place is dingy, dark, & wore out. Asked me what I wanted. Told him blonde eyebrows, not too thick. So, I got thin, black eyebrows. I am fair-skinned blonde. He said they will lighten up in a month. But I don't see how black is going to turn blonde. He had no "bedside manner." Would not recommend at all. He claimed he's been doing brows for 1 1/2 years. Seriously doubt that. read more

I am adding my review on top of similar stories. I have never been more disappointed in a hair salon service, ever. I scheduled my appointment a few weeks in advance. I told the hairstylist what I wanted over text & from the moment I sat down to the moment I left, I felt insanely rushed. He told me that he only had 1 hour to do my hair. I wanted to get the golden color out of my hair and get to an icy blonde, & he said that the only thing he could do is tone my hair. Once he got the toner in my hair, his other clients showed up, so he left me with toner while he was cutting their hair. He had 3 different clients during my session that (keep in mind) I scheduled weeks in advance. When he finally came back to me, I told him that I want to get a blow dry & style. He told me that he won't have time & will have his co-worker do it. When the other hairstylist got to me, she finished washing my hair (he didn't even have time to finish washing it), & though she had a client of her own as well, she blow dried my hair & styled it. When she was blow drying it, I noticed that the color was a lot darker than what I wanted. My hair went back to being a brunette. Though it's a nice color, I am still very very upset. I have spent MONTHS dying my hair lighter and lighter each time (dying it months apart so I don't ruin it), have spent so much money getting it to a lighter color, and that time was all ruined by one trip here. On top of that, he came up to me when she was still styling it, & told me he has to leave, & it would be $40. When I was paying, she also told me that it would be $30 for blow dry and style. I didn't even want to question anything and wanted to get out of that salon. I spent over 2 hours there and it was all to waste. I can not say anything bad about the lady who styled my hair. She did a great job and was very kind. Other than that, I do not recommend this place at all. If you want to be sitting & waiting for a long time, feel really rushed, & not getting what you want, be my guest. This salon is very unprofessional. Though he said he only has 1 hour to do my hair, he did not spend 1 hour with me. He had clients during my appointment, didn't really seem to care what I want, & I feel like he forgot that I was in the chair because my hair turned out dark. I will never come back here. read more

Ok you hairy monkeys out there...well guys that is. I am a furry lil teddy bear so I decided to get my back waxed. After some searching around I found the Golden Hands here in Sacramento. Very professional and for $40(including tip) how else can you go wrong. My back is now hair free and I am a little less embarrassed with my shirt off. This place is very unprofessional! They will cancel minutes before your appointment and not offer to reschedule and then give attitude as if you're the one who canceled. The price changes every visit and the groupon is a scam they end up saying we gave u discounts in the past so since i have the groupon we charge u full price and actually tried to charge me more than I normally paid without using the groupon. Do your self a favor get waxed somewhere else. The gentleman that does the waxing also takes phone calls and eats while waxing u. I purchased a Groupon for eyelash extensions. They called me at 2pm today to cancel my appointment for 7pm this evening, stating that the technician was on vacation. They referred me to one of their other locations and the number is disconnected. I made the appointment because I had a very important event tomorrow. I've looked all over town to get another appointment somewhere - no one is free this evening on such short notice. Had they given me ample time to find another salon, I wouldn't be so upset. Calling the same afternoon and using the excuse that someone is on vacation is a joke! Did they not know this earlier? Yes, they did. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Do yourself and your hair a favor, stay away from this place. This was the worst experience I've ever had with my hair. I went to this shop for a simple haircut and a perm. My appointment was scheduled with the owner of the salon (Henadzi) at 2:00. I waited 40 min before someone finally approached me to start my hair. I showed Henadzi a picture of the style I wanted and he said it would be no problem and he could do it. Half way through my cut he left me and went to work on dying someone else's hair. Another 50 minutes later after he finished applying dye on the other customer's hair, he took the left over dye and started actually applying and coloring his own hair. It was the Sat before Easter and I was in a huge hurry. At this point I was upset when he finally came back to me and said that he was ready to perm my hair. I told him that he wasn't even done with cutting it yet. I could tell he didn't like what I said so he cut it a little more, but still didn't cut it in the way we agreed. He started my perm and after rolling up half of my hair he left me again to work on another customer. At this point I had been in the shop for almost 3 hours and I was very angry. I spent 4.5 hours and $140.00 at his salon and left with my back soaking wet, my hair wet and still straight. The perm did not work; there was no curl to my hair at all. I tried to contact him and asked him to call me back but he would only communicate through text. I sent him pictures of my hair and asked for a refund. He just kept asking me to send more pictures of my wet hair, which I did. He still refused to say anything was wrong with it and would not refund me. His reply to me was "Oh well too bad you can't refund labor". This ruined my Easter and I had to go to work looking like a wet dog. I have alerted local channel to his business tactics and they also found out he has been cited by the state for various violations in his salon. I found this place through a groupon for eyelash extensions that included one set plus a refill. The location was be a little tricky to spot, just because it's a really small place. The staff here seemed to have very limited English because unless they were speaking to me directly, they were constantly talking in Russian, even when talking about me to each other. Nontheless, they were very friendly and cheerful and Marina got started on my lashes right away. My first visit was good, it was my first time ever getting lash extensions and I did not know what to expect. There were times during the application when some of the glue seeped into my eyes and that stung a lot. I also noticed that one of my lashes was not properly glued on because it was hanging too far from the base of my lashes which made it flip and flop around. I pointed it out and she told me to just use my finger and lift my lashes manually. Otherwise, my lashes looked pretty nice for maybe 2-3 days until I started noticing how many of them on one of my eyes were coming off at the base of my lashes/skin but still stuck onto the shaft of the lash hair... which basically meant my eyes kept getting stabbed by the lashes. We had scheduled the refill 2 weeks after applying the first set and when the time came, I just wanted to get rid of them. I arrived and told her I wanted them removed, explaining that it was because they were painful and she seemed a bit offended and told me that it was my "chinese eyes" (I'm Korean btw) that couldn't handle the lashes and that hers were fine. I just awkwardly smiled as she explained in her broken English that she had been doing this for 5 years and was qualified to work and eventually offered to refill them with "French lashes" to which I declined. The removal was also painful because some of the solution she was using went in my eye again, which stung quite a lot. She asked if I was doing okay throughout the procedure and then gave me advice to put Vaseline on my lashes each night to promote growth, which was nice. Overall, sad to say my first experience with lash extensions was disappointing. I'm sure she did what she could but perhaps I'll go to an Asian salon next time where they might be more experienced with Asian eyes/lashes. read more

Please save your money. Discount or no discount. The ladies were vary rude. The older lady that does eyelash extensions just kept complaining. Complaining about having an appointment and about her manager. She complained of how ridiculous the idea of Groupon was because her eyelashes aren't cheap. So the guy G shows up after waiting about an hour. Luckily my mom and I had nothing else to do. She had an eyelash extension appointment later. I had a haircut appointment. I tell him that I a short haircut. my hair was already short to begin with. He completely butchered it. It was uneven and the fade was horrible. How in the world do they have two other locations. I don't even know where to begin... The bathroom has black mold on the ceiling. I saw more than one massive trails of ants from the trash can out the back door, no one cleaned it up. They had no toll of Eypper I had to use a seat liner to wipe myself. I went in for a massage and the massage sheets are like bleached or stained and look they looks so dirty and disgusting I didn't want to lay down on them. To top it off the owner, G I think is his name, short chubby Russian man was going to give me my massage and after I undressed and laid on the bed he also undressed and smiled and offered to perform sexual favors for me. I was highly offended that's totally unprofessional and I've already contacted the board of cosmetology, I've written three complaint to the Better Business Bureau and next I'm going to contact the local law-enforcement because that is totally illegal!
