I do want to give an update to our last visit with Geri's Garden Spa. This has been on hold a bit for my update because I broke a bone for the first time in my life and have been a little immobile which has pushed back reviews in general, but, not to digress.... Obviously, one of my experiences was with an MT that gave the worst massage of my life. BUT, we as a family have been visiting this spa for a very long time and still wanted to support and try again. Much to our joy, the business has opened up an extension space that offers a side by side couples massage experience and that's what we indulged in. My wife was scheduled with Amanda, and I had..... I believe her name was Rani? not sure of the spelling. Rani was attentive, QUIET, asked how pressure and comfort was, and largely just focused on the Swedish massage, instead of talking the entire time like my last visit here with a different therapist. So, for this time around, I appreciate that Rani gave a pleasant massage. Amanda is a rockstar and my wife loves getting massages with her. In fact, I get jealous because I wish I could have a massage from Amanda as well, which I could, but she can't clone herself for two side by side if we do the couples suite. This is a very cute spa and we love to support local business. I do see us returning in the future for self care treatments. My only concern is that when calling or texting to schedule for massages, I expect........ that whomever is discussed as a name within that conversation, that will be the massage therapist or therapists (couples) that are present day of. Had a facial and message for my 40th. It was great! They give you a foot soak and foot cleanse before the services. I had never had a facial and this was heaven. I got a massage here a few months back. The massage was good, but the overall marketing strategy turned me off. I was asked several times during my visit to book my next session, including while I was getting my massage! I get occasional massages to relax, and defending myself against in person advertising is NOT RELAXING. I left without booking anything else and figured that would be the end of it. I was wrong. My BFF from college was in town, and we wanted to treat ourselves to facials. I had never been here before but wanted to give it a try after reading the Yelp reviews. Jeannine and Marie were amazing--we started with a peppermint foot bath and leg massage. While our feet were soaking, Jeannine and Marie asked us about our skincare routine, and what we wanted to get out of the facial treatment. It was a very personalized experience. So amazing! We booked the couples facial for today and had Jeannine and Vivian as our facialists. They both made us feel so welcome and at ease and the couples space is calm and inviting. The facial started with a lovely foot soak and scrub, followed by custom facials that felt tailored to each of our needs. The best part was that our facials included a lovely upper body massage which was a really pleasant surprise. Our faces feel so amazing and we felt so taken care of. Geri's Garden Spa is a gem of a place. As soon as you walk in, the ambiance brings an immediate ease. However, I must focus on this fantastic massage therapist. Despite the risk of Amanda becoming even more booked up (which she completely deserves to be) I must gush. I felt like she really assessed me and gave me helpful feedback about my skin, but not in a way where it seemed she was pushing products. It was just good quality advice in general. After not getting a massage for over 5 years because of some uncomfortable experiences at other places, I've been to Geri's twice in the last few months and see myself becoming a repeat customer. Everyone here makes you feel so safe and at ease (which is exactly what I need as someone that has a hard time being touched by strangers). The massages have actually given me some mobility back in my neck, but almost more importantly for me, have given me the ability to take a deep breath, relax, and allow myself to be taken care of. My facial was not only relaxing and soothing but she produced results that I haven't seen in over a decade. She assessed my dry, dull skin and quickly went into action to create a customized facial to combat some of the issues. This place surprised me! It's definitely a cute spa experience with snacks and refreshments offered while you relax prior to receiving your massage. Its on the smaller side, my partner and I received massages in separate rooms. I got a prenatal massage and they had me lay on a long L shaped pillow to keep me comfortable during my massage. They also have a garden you can relax in post your massage. It's perfect for a simple spa experience for a couple or among a few friends. read more

As I have mentioned in my previous review about a month ago, I will come back. Called/texted to inquire re: care package, before I scheduled. As before, got a quick response from Jeanine. Had my care package session last Friday, 7/29 /2022. Lo and behold, I got assigned to Sarah for massage and Maria for facials. Yes, I already know their names. I have proven my husband's description of Sarah's strong hands. Had a nice nap, snoring too, while she was giving me my massage. I booked a massage in September 2022 and the therapist pretended like she scheduled a return visit in October. I never received notification of the date or time and never got a phone/ text verifying the appointment. I left a message asking for a call back which I never got. I truly believe this was a result of the color of my skin. It's 2022 and if you don't know, prejudice still exists y'all! The massage in September was awful!
