When we arrived, the motor ran poorly, the seats were ripped, there was mold throughout the boat, wasn't cleaned when we got it there was beer bottle caps, there was no radio, and the speed was governed, which made the experience even more frustrating. For $1,000, this rental was absolutely not worth the price. This was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration, but instead the condition and performance of the boat completely took away from the experience. We noticed nicer boats they owned but when asked how we could get the nicer one they said just depends on what's available so you have a 30% chance of getting a nice boat since there was a like 3 nicer boats. We did rent jet skis which were very fun so I'd rent those again but most definitely never the boat. We left feeling misled and disappointed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company based on our experience.

I'm out almost a thousand dollars for the last certification I paid for, and never received --after many broken promises. We traveled with California Scuba on multiple occasions. Both times we were left to fend for ourselves once leaving the country. Thankfully we were able to make due, even with angst. The last trip was the final straw. Our entire dive family was overcharged for a bus charter that my wife and I helped arrange. To make it worse, we had to foot the bill for the gratuity owed to the driver on our reputation, while Mike pocketed all the difference!!! I went to my son's field trip and was lucky enough to be one of the chaperons. I did not even realize this place existed. It is located off of Herndon and VanNess next to the golf coarse. I was already skeptical because that just didn't sound very outdoorsy. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they are located right next to the San Joaquin River and we were able to try out canoeing. We were also educated by some very friendly knowledgeable guides. The students were able to play some simple fun educational games about animals of prey and predators. We also learned about tracking animals as well as the local fauna. I really enjoyed this wonderful educational experience and wish to come back. However, it is an FCOE owned organization and it is not open to the public. It is open to schools and teacher's with their students. Maybe I can become a volunteer Docent or look for other ways to conserve and educate. I believe there is also an organization that will have you canoe your way through the river while picking up trash. I will pick up trash if that means I can come back and canoe! www.scoutisland.org

Squaw Leap…read more When the Squaw tribal people found out the European immigrants were coming closer to their territory, many of them " leaped " off those cliffs and committed suicide because they didn't want to be captured and enslaved as that was the case for many other tribes. Hence , the name " Squaw Leap ". From the agricultural town of Fresno to the trail head is only about a 40- minute drive . You drive through a small town of Prather and Auberry , take Powerhouse Rd, Smally Rd and you'll reach the parking lots. As of May 22, 2021, the visitor center was closed , the Nuckhahee learning center was also closed but the Ya Gub Weh Tuh campground was opened, the trails were opened and the Indian Village was also opened. Aholul group campground also opened. Hiking : 1. You can hike to the bridge. It's a very easy short hike, but when you get to the bridge , you are rewarded with beautiful views of the San Joaquin River Gorge. A nice spot to eat lunch. Some folks fishing down below by the water. 2. You can hike the Pa'san Ridge Loop Trail. It's uphills and I'd rate it moderate. 7.9 mile , 1,538 ft elevation gain. Loop. (AllTrails.com) 3. You can hike the Wuh-Ki'o trail. I can't tell you because I've never done this one. 8.0 mile, 1,354 ft elevation gain. Out-back. (According to AllTrails.com ) It gets pretty hot here during summer months. Avoid doing this hike in the summer. Today was unusually cool for this time of the year in this area. All of the parking lots were full , tons of cyclists, trail runners, hikers. Pretty busy place.

Where : this place is tricky to find but it's behind the Clovis fire department Station 3 at the…read morecorner of Minewawa and Villa but, Villa ( if you are going from south ) it turns to Minewawa so instead of keep going , if you see the fire department, turn right immediately and the parking lot will be on your right. It's easy to miss since it's a very small parking lot ( enough for 5 - 6 cars). There's a potter potty there and a picnic table and some signage. You can park your car here and take the Dry Creek Trail to Cottonwood Park which is only 1/2 mile , or go a little further and hit Dry Creek Park and the Clovis Botanical Garden or , all the way to the other trailhead which is the metal horse statue (Sunnyside and Shepherd). There are mile markers along the trail so you know how far you walked from the trailhead. Nicely paved trail good for strollers too. Good walking and running trail.

Bring a Table cloth for the table though or a bucket to wash off what remains of the people before you.
