Ordered to take out a few times and this was my first time actually visiting the store. Not so much seating but the skate park seating was pretty trendy and cute. Very close to FIU and easy enough to find. The pizza itself is super tasty, the bottom has a nice crunch, and the cheese is just enough where it's not thick and gross. The perfect slice and two, in my opinion, is plenty. Not pictured, is some cinnamon rolls that were not my favorite as the were just a little to tough to eat. Let me say this... This pizza we had yesterday was just out of this world !!!! My husband and I were remembering the time back in the seventies about a place that had this kind of pizza. Sooooo good! We saw it on instagram and knew we had to try it ASAP. Golden Lizzard did not disappoint one bit. The pizza was delicious, not crazy huge slices so you can try a few different types without feeling stuffed. Great space and layout; trendy, clean, open kitchen. Staff was welcoming and friendly! They've been open since late April 2024 and I hope they will be around for a long time because I definitely plan to be back many more times, and hope to try some other toppings. I had the Margherita which is my go to. Crust had a good undercarriage and light crunch, sauce was packed with flavors. Needless to say, my mouth was very happy! My boyfriend had the cheese and pepperoni with hot honey. He enjoyed them both, and wasn't sure which one he liked more. I had a bite of the cheese and it was great. I was hopeful that this pizza would be great based on the reviews, but it did not love up to expectations. My family and I got 5 slices because we wanted to try a couple of types. My kids' cheese pizza looked way better than ours. The Hawaiian slice we got tasted like it had been sitting for a long while before it was reheated. The Buffalo chicken slices were slightly better but they were like warm. The place itself is very cool with a skate park type seating area. More tables would probably be beneficial though. read more

Everyone has the style of pizza they like, based on this I rate this pizza 7.7/10! It was very tasty, each theme of pizza was true to the description which was delicious! It's a simple place, a few tables, limited menu (which is nice) and you have the ability to try different kinds of pizza without ordering a whole pie! Can't ask for anything more. We ordered the cheese, mushroom, vodka pesto and margherita slices along with 2 drinks. Each slice is about $5 which is comparable to slices elsewhere. I will say, the slices were slightly overcooked, pretty brown bottoms, so overly crispy. I didnt mind, but I can see how some people would. The I highly recommend the mushroom and margherita, the vodka pesto was also very flavorful. The pizza was not at all greasy, I didn't feel heavy or gross after eating. I really wanted to like this place. It's close by my house, I was excited to try it. When I called, I told the lady that answered, I like my pizza thin and crispy. I'm extremely disappointed, what I received was super doughy, dry and not good. This tasted like a Dominoes pizza NY style right across the street. Honestly, there was no difference at all. My advise to owners is hire a real pizza chef because right now it's amateur night at the Apollo and there are too many other spots now that deliver quality pizza for you to compete.
