The reason I go to Cuban-style pizza joints is for their cheese cream (or soups) -- thick and delicious, especially the Virginia, where they throw in diced ham. It's a beautiful restaurant with great service. My wife (Italian-American) had the chicken fettuccine and she very much enjoyed it. Will definitely recommend and visit again. read more

This is the new Marakas Pizza on Coral Way near the BJs shopping center. The service here is always top notch. Very nice people. The food here is excellent. If you enjoy Cuban pizza this is by far one of the best in town. They also have a huge menu full of items that aren't Cuban pizza. You can even get skirt steak here. The milkshakes are super yummy and they have tons of cold beer. The wings are not bad. They have massive salads here that you can choose from. My favorite Cuban pizza here is the chorizo pizza. It's my favorite. Plenty of seating on the inside and the outside. Everything in here is fairly new. This restaurant was done completely new. I believe this is their 2nd location in Miami. Visited Marakas after looking for pizza options via Yelp and I am 100% so happy I connected to them. I placed my order online and was able to capitalize on some discounts/specials so I definitely recommend ordering from online. Also keep in mind there's two locations as I ordered from the wrong location and they offered to make it at the location I was at but it was only a 20ish drive so I made it. Both locations when you enter are very modern and well designed: it's very welcoming too! Now the food, hands down one of my favorite pizzas. It feels like a pan pizza and the bread, crust, cheese, sauce just really brings it al together and while I was full I wanted more. The small was supposed to be cut into four slices however it wasn't cut; I assume that's because it was to go but I had no issues cutting it myself. The garlic knots are also so delicious and flavorful. My only feedback would be they should provide some marina sauce as this would have taken it to the next level. I highly recommend this pizza place and will visit again during my next Miami trip. read more

For $16, I got a small cheese pizza, cheese spaghetti (enough to share), 4 garlic knots and 2 canned sodas. The pizza is bready and perfectly crispy on the outside. If you're a thin crust fan, this type of pizza may not be for you. The spaghetti is very saucy and you really gotta mix the cheese in, but also delicious. Garlic knots were tasty, so we ordered a second round for the table. My friend ordered the guava pizza that substitutes guava with tomato sauce and it's a MUST TRY. Just happened to drive by this strip mall and found this New Gem on Coral Way !! Right behind the Pollo Tropical.I opened the door and was completely surprised by the up to date decor . Sat down and was greeted by the staff with a Picture Style Menu which I love !! Its reminds me of a Fancy Menu from Dennys , but in a good way !
