This place is dependable. I always get a good pedicure and they take appointments. The vibe is relaxed and clean.

I used to go here before. Had the best manicurist ever. First time I've been here in a while. On their price list it says 15$ for a gel color change, but when she charged me she charged me 20$. When I asked why it different from the price on the board she said its 15 and up. She kept stressing that because it was gel. Which made no sense since a regular manicure is only 10$ why would a reg color change be 15$. I think they should update their chart or make it more clear. I prefer my nail shape to be square and some are but some are rounded. It isn't consistent. Something else bothered me here. I went to wash my hands and when I came back I had to wait while she filed and put acetone on another customer's nails. I get this was a time saver for her, so the lady can be ready to strip her nails when it was her turn but this was a time killer for me. read more

Beware! I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years at various nail salons throughout Massachusetts and I have never gotten an infection from dirty tools and sloppy procedures, until now at Golden Nails. On my second visit to the salon, I had a nail tech that seemed inexperienced and unsure of herself. She was chatty and careless, and had to stop and redo her mistakes numerous times. Within a couple of days I had developed dark spots under the center of my dip manicure. I removed the dip myself and discoved my nails were discolored a greenish brown color. When I googled it, I discovered you can get a bacterial infection from moisture not being thoroughly removed before applying the dip. It's called greenies or pseudomonas nail infection. After sterilizing my nails and ordering nearly $50 of treatments off of Amazon, within a couple more days, I also developed a fungal infection where my nails started lifting from the nail bed and turning white. I ordered a whole new round of treatments from Amazon and after two + months of soaks and twice daily applications to stop the spread, my nails are still a mess, and I can't get a manicure until this clears up. It's looking like I'm going to have to go to my Doctor to see if I can get on medication or pursue a UV type treatment. The most frustrating part is that when I called the salon to let them know what had happened so they could be more careful, they repeatedly denied all responsibility saying it couldn't be them. They did not apologize and the woman on the phone kept asking, "What do you want me to do? What can I do?" I suggested she retrain her staff on sanitary procedures and deep clean all their equipment. She said I had to prove that it was Golden Nails fault or she couldn't help me. I hate to leave a review like this, but if the salon isn't interested in the health of their patron's nails, you might want to avoid Golden Nails salon. read more

I will never return to this salon for acrylics again. The only reason I give it two stars is because my sister's nails came out DECENT. I've had acrylics put on many times and have never been so disappointed. After walking out, our nails didn't feel smooth, they were rough. I also noticed when I got home, that the corners were already peeling up; less than an hour after just having them put on! They also looked grown out, like I had already had them on for a week. Within just a few days after that, the top coat began to turn yellow. I've never had that issue anywhere else I've ever gone either. I've been to this salon a few times over the years and it's been fine (mediocre at best). The last time I went in for tips & walked out with not a single nail being the same shape... even though this was pointed out a couple times. Today I decided to give them another chance and boy was that a mistake! I had an appointment for 9:30am and sat there waiting for almost 40 minutes and was ignored most of that time. I've tried other salons (because I live 30 minutes away) and they never compare to golden nails. Today I had Hak for the first time and my pedicure came out awesome and he gave the best massage!!!!!! Had some time to kill so I went in for a gel manicure. There was no wait and the staff was friendly. However, the lady cut my cuticles too close and I started bleeding. Still charged full price though. Later developed an infection/ inflammation and the nail is still tender after more than a week. Gel came off after the first week. Doesn't seem like they autoclave any of the tools. probably not a good place to go if you're concerned about infection. also not a good place to go if you don't feel like being randomly insulted by the person doing your nails. read more

I went here to get a dip manicure and pedicure. I go to this salon because they have OPI colors. I went to get a nice nude color. After picking the color I see they come over with a non OPI similar color, I told them i like the OPI brand and if they don't have it I can pick a new color. Then I picked out a pale pink, which they tell me they don't have. At this point I was frustrated and decided Lincoln park after dark, although it was the color I just had them take off. She paints my toes, then when it's time to do my hands they tell me they don't have the powder, I had been adamant they have to match. They put on a color they claimed would match perfectly, and it does not at all. The new color they put on you can easily see the grainy powder in the color. I went back to have them fix it and change the color, and the woman told me it's not her fault and will have to charge me for a whole new manicure. This place is ridiculous and has no concept of customer service especially considering that I paid $80 dollars for my pedicure and dip manicure. I DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

This is my go to place for the past 2 years, they are by far the best!they are always so friendly and accommodating, I feel like I know them all now for going every 3 weeks! My nails always look amazing, I get complimented on them all the time! They also took me, my mom, and my bridal party at 9 am last week for wedding mani pedis and we had so much fun! I went here for the first time late last Friday. The decor was a little bland and the music too loud, however I was assisted immediately. The woman that did my nails was very quiet but efficient. I have natural nails with gel polish that needed to be removed. Some salons charge extra for gel removal, they did not. The woman did a very nice manicure and polish. Good service and affordable. I was in a rush and was told there was no wait. There were 3 technicians that had no customers. I picked my color and was told to wait. I waited 5 minutes and asked if someone could see me. I had to wait until someone was finished and they were just finishing up. I asked about the 3 free technicians but was told I had to wait for "X" since it was her turn. This is NOT good service. I told them I was in a rush but it was more important for Golden Nails to keep to THEIR schedule. I won't be going back! This type of service drives me crazy. read more

This was the first time I've ever been to this nail salon. I normally do a lot of reviewing before I decide to give any place a try. Despite some of the bad reviews here, two of my coworkers are regulars at this place and also recommended me here as well. The location is very convenient for me and that was a plus. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst salons I have ever been to. I believe it is safe to say that I've gotten my nails done/refilled with acrylics for sometime now that I know the steps by heart. I understand everyone has different techniques but the nail tech that I had definitely skipped steps. It's been less than 24 hours and my nails are already lifting at the corners. She didn't even bother removing the already lifted nail edges.. practically just putting on the acrylic power over it. I am very disappointed. If you love having/getting acrylics I do not recommend this place at all. Maybe it was just the nail tech I had, if so I do not recommend the nail tech that sits at station 11. read more
