Golden Paws Pet Salon was a wonderful experience for my cat who desperately needed claw caps. Thank you, thank you!

I LOVE Park and Bark Mobile Grooming! They are genuinely the nicest people ever, they're great…read moredoggie stylists, and most importantly, they really, really love dogs. I have an elderly dog who has opinions about *everything*, and he's a rescue with a traumatic past so he can also be anxious and skittish, but he absolutely loves Park and Bark. They are always so sweet and gentle with him! That's just who they are. Park and Bark Mobile Grooming have groomed my dog's fur for over 4 years now and the quality of their work has never once declined. My dog always looks like he's ready to win Best in Show at the fanciest dog show after Park and Bark groom him. I had given them a 5 star review before and am coming back to update my review because I can't stop singing their praises; I would give Park and Bark 10 stars if I could. I am so grateful for them and can't recommend them enough. You should check them out; your dog will love them and you will too.

Sel has groomed both of my dogs with such patience, kindness, and care, and even during the final days of my late dog's life, she remained so gentle and compassionate. That meant the world to me. Having a mobile groomer come to the house is a game-changer. It's so much less stressful for the dogs (and me!), and you can tell Park and Bark genuinely love what they do. They even send them off with the cutest bandannas and accessories after a groom -- it's such a sweet touch that shows how much they care. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pets like family, look no further. We are so lucky to have found them!

I have a 20-pound Frenchie that thinks he's a Great Dane, Diesel. He gets along fine in the big…read moredogs area, which is really the only area used by 90% of folks for dogs big and small alike. Diesel loves Bark Park and perks up when he realizes where we're headed. In dozens upon dozens of visits, he's been humped a handful of times and subjected to a little rough play, but very rarely to the point where I felt it was unsafe. Bark Park is a pretty typical dog park in this respect, maybe a bit less aggressive than others I've visited. The regulars here are pretty diverse and super friendly. I'm kinda introverted by nature and have a good sense of stranger danger, but I get drawn into a lot of conversations, mostly because Diesel is an enthusiastic idiot who somehow runs at normal dog speed despite his small stature. Regarding the parking, yes, there is a lot at the far side of the dog park, and yes, you have to traverse a four-foot-wide path with your back to the traffic whizzing by at all of 15 MPH if you choose to park in this lot. Closer spots are sometimes available, but when filled, I mostly default to the baseball field parking lot across the street. The biggest logistical problem here is poor drainage. There is a small wading pool that often gets filled and ends up with stagnant, dirty water, which Diesel seems to gravitate to after he gets winded. In general, the water situation at Bark Park is not optimal...fountains work poorly, and drainage is bad throughout. There are a few water jugs sprinkled about in an attempt to mitigate the issue, and provide fresh water for pups. The amount of shade could be better. If it's midday during the summer, I'll drive to Phil Hardberger as the foliage there really helps keep the temperatures a little more reasonable. Bark Park installed a gazebo last year, which helps with some shade if you are sedentary, but I like to walk laps because otherwise Diesel loses his mind. The trees at the park seem to be underwatered; a large portion of them have been cut back or cut down, and not a lot of foliage has grown back in. The issues are minor enough that 95% of the time, I'll prefer the five-minute drive to Bark Park over a fifteen-minute trek to Harbender. Diesel has enough fun that we've been frequenting it with some sort of regularity for a few years now.

There is plenty of grass in the large dog area, and the trees give them shade when they need to rest from running hard. Small dog area is too small, and doesn't allow much room to run for smaller dogs. It's is also mostly dirt and prickly weeds. Yuck. They need to make a larger area for smaller dogs that isn't all shade, so some good grass can grow. I'll be going back because it is so close and convenient. But I still have high hopes for some improvements.

That said, my dog-loving friends and I were quite disappointed for the following reasons: 1. SANDBUR (GRASSBUR) whatever you call it. Three times I caught my baby girl limping because the burrs got stuck in/between her paws. :-( They are really painful and they are ALL OVER the big dog side hidden in the grass. I'm never taking her again for that reason. 2. Small dog side is TINY. Seriously, the people who built it must think small dogs don't run or that they only run in circles. I only have a big dog, but my friends who had small dogs were very frustrated. (That said, the small side is fenced properly with no escape room.) 3. It lacks seating area. 4. Water is outside. If you bring your own bowl, it's not a big deal. But it's a con. 5. It's kind of boring... No agility. And it seems like hardly any people go there - probably because of the burrs! Suggestion - Go to Stoney Creek Dog Park (AKA Harris-Ridge Dog Park) at the border of Pflugerville/Austin instead. It's way better for both big and small dogs!

My dog, Jet, has…read morebeen coming to Bark & Zoom for 7 years, practically since they opened, and we couldn't be happier. There are so many positives to highlight. First, I really appreciate the rotating play and rest schedule that Taurus/Bark & Zoom uses, which differs from other facilities in the area. It's been a fantastic fit for Jet, especially when he was younger and would be tired but had a bit of FOMO when other dogs were playing and wouldn't know when to rest. At other facilities without this structure, he'd end up overtired and overstimulated from hours of endless play with 25 other dogs and poor trainer/dog ratios leaving minimal staff supervision. Bark & Zoom's approach (focus on temperament and smaller groups) has been a much better fit and Jet has thrived in this environment comparatively. The staff here has always been wonderful and so loving toward Jet as well. Years ago, there was a team gathering at Yardbar where Jet ran right up to the staff, thrilled to see them, and they immediately recognized and showered him with affection. Interactions like this validate the level of positive care he receives across several services including board-and-train, daycare, or boarding. Aside from great care, the convenience of their 24-hour model right by the airport is seriously unbeatable. As someone in the aviation industry, the flexibility to drop off and pick up at unconventional hours has been a lifesaver. I'm so grateful to Bark & Zoom for accommodating my unpredictable schedule time and time again throughout all of these years. This past year has been challenging as Jet battles lymphoma. He's experienced multiple remissions and relapses, and as he slows down and needs more care, the staff has been wonderfully supportive, bringing comfort to me on days when I can't be with him. There are SO many wonderful people here, but I'd like to give a special shoutout to Jess and Mackenzie. They've known Jet since before their well-deserved promotions and have always treated him like family. I appreciate y'all (and everyone) so much!

I simply can't express my gratitude and love for this group of people; I life would spin off its axis without them! We were very frequent visitors. We had a downfall in 2021 and now shes a senior, blind and a T1 diabetic and bumps into everything. but fetch is her life so we kept going to the park and I would bring her favorite scented squeak toy so she could hear when I throw it and smell it to find it. But our visits started to become complicated when dogs would just run her over or run away with her ball leaving her frantic because she couldn't see was going on. I often times had to get her ball back from the dog and walk to another empty part of the park and toss her ball to her so she could play and get her exercise. This wouldnt stop the dogs from constantly stealing her toys and running away and the owners just laughing at me. And I would explain my dog is blind and needs her ball so she can hear and smell it to play. They would say "it's just what dogs do" which irritated me. Since I kept moving to empty parts of the park and they would just follow. Theres thousands of balls there and hers is a scented squeaker made for blind dogs. So I picked her up and left. I started taking her early mornings when no one is there and that worked for a while. On may 8th we finished our walk and a lady came in with her 2 dogs, no big deal I was snapping my fingers at my pup so she could follow me back to the car. One of the lady's dogs ran over which I thought was just going to say hello, pinned my dog down and started chomping on her. I quickly reacted and grabbed the dog off my dog and picked up my dog and ran her to the fountain to check for wounds. She had a bad puncture in her back that required 3 staples. It was a horrific day. I won't be going back here anymore. I wish they had dog parks made for disabled and older dogs. Its frustrating trying to find an area that's gated where she can run and explore and not get bullied or completely run over by other dogs. We just take little walks around my complex now and play fetch inside my apartment.

The entrance gate is a double gate for those of you with escape artists. Park has running water available for the dogs, and picnic tables shaded by large canopies. The only thing keeping this to 4 stars is the lack of grass. Yes, there is some grass in the park, but it's mostly dirt. The city has plans to plant grass and make other improvements, but they still need donations. Check the gate coming in for info on donating.
