I've always wanted long hair. I'd been getting wiggy with it or using clip in weave for years, and my own hair was paying the price. It got thinner and thinner. My boss thought I had alopecia. I did not. My boss's wife recommended Cameren to me back when she was at Wicked. There was one stipulation - I can't tell her what to do. My boss's wife knew I was making some bad hair decisions. That's why she needed to refer me in the first place. I've been going to Cameren for years, and I am so grateful for her. She brought my hair back. She started by recommending special vitamins called Viviscal for hair growth and they really do work. Next she installed a weave with wefts held in by tiny little gaskets made of rubber with metal inside. This means it won't pull out your hair or itch like traditional weave. I got a long wavy light brown human hair to match my own hair. I am a YT lady with olive complexion, and the weave I get is almost straight. It's just enough body, but since I have fine hair, it doesn't look too full or fake. It blends well. Recently my mom died, and in a fit of poor decisions and hair, I cut my hair myself. It was so bad. Truly. I cut one side and realized I made a mistake, stopped, and the other side didn't match. Cameren fixed it for me by giving me layers. I'm due for new weave next time. Cameren assured me that she can layer it to match my hair now. What a relief! She is incredibly professional and fast. I can get a full install, dye and style in an hour. Meanwhile she keeps great conversation and is just overall a really amazing person. So very grateful for her.

But I just can't…read more I've been battling cancer for the last 3 years so I've needed a lot of personal care after surgery, radiation and chemo. I walked into Head 2 Toes a year ago to get my eyebrows done and ask about a pedicure and hair care. I got my eyebrows done and was told the manicurist is there on certain days so I would need to get an appt. That's cool, I'm not expecting to always do a walk-in situation for something like that anyway. However, I did want to get my feet done sooner than they could do it so I asked about getting an appt for getting a hair cut/trim. I made an appt for the following week. Awesome! Unfortunately, I got a text from one of the stylists the day before my appt and she said she had to cancel for personal reasons. I texted her back, "Okay, thank you anyway!". I ended up going to another place. A year later, last Monday, I was getting my blood work done next door to Head 2 Toes and decided to pop in there to get another hair appt with Sherry. The appt was for this Saturday. Awesome! However, I just got another similar text saying she had to cancel the Saturday appt for personal reasons. I will be starting chemo again next week so I wanted to get it done before that so I got on the phone and booked another appt elsewhere. Sherry did text me back to reschedule for next Wednesday but I already got a new appt for Saturday at the same time. So, I would really love to review this place positively but that's too many cancellations. I don't think I'll try them again.

My appointment was at 2:00. They took me in at 2:27 -- which was generous, considering the stylist spent the first 20 minutes loudly arguing with someone on the phone. My "stylist" clearly skipped the part of beauty school where they teach symmetry, hygiene, and basic human decency. They speak spanish and I couldn't help but feel like they were talking about me or other clients because they kept laughing completing ignoring the fact that I was there. Wouldn't send my worst enemy here--unless I wanted them to cry in public. If this salon was the last place on Earth, I'd let my hair grow into a sentient tumbleweed before coming back.

She feels I should convert to the method she provides and give all my hair needs to her exclusively. After leaving her salon yesterday ( root color) she sent me a text saying that she was "restructuring" her business to only service full exclusivity clients and suggested I go elsewhere for color. She's moved locations at least 6-7 times due to Management/ Co worker issues (hostile work environment) and I've remained loyal through it all. I feel it was un professional and disrespectful that she sent a text after I left the salon instead of having a face to face conversation while I was there. Expecting a client to change methods in order to retain services is NOT GOOD BUSINESS. The client is the one spending their money . She stated in her text that "she was in business for herself" not a favorable attitude for the client . The salon doesn't have a from desk receptionist. The first person you see when you walk in is an unfriendly make up artist that appears to not like her job. It's not a classy, inviting vibe upon arrival. Hair maintenance is expensive and prefer someone that values their clients and the money they spend. Not a stylist with entitlement issues. #ClientBeWare

My friend goes to Amanda so that is how I found her. This salon is very nice and clean esp. the bathrooms. Their bathroom (female) is nice & cozy. Has a few decorations in it to make you feel like your @ home. Amanda has her own private room so I'm never near other customers when getting my hair done. She does share a sink washing stations with other workers but right now they have plastic dividers in between the chairs to help with COVID restrictions. I've always gone here later in the day when most people are already home & not working. There is a front desk that I'm guessing sometimes has someone who sits here as they have some soda & snacks they sell behind the counter. This place is close to home for me so it doesn't take long to get here & its right by GVR casino. There are two entrances into this salon. One in the back & one in the front & its around other medical buildings. I got a little confused when first trying to find the location. GPS brought me to the back entrance where the sign on their door was hard to see from the parking lot but I was able to go in this way. Besides hair & nails I'm not sure what other services are offered in here.

During the removal of my previous Gel-X set, the first nail tech (male) drilled my nail to the point that I literally SCREAMED in PAIN. Thankfully, I didn't bleed, but my nail was sore afterward. He did apologize and was nice throughout the appointment, which I appreciate, but being hurt like that during a nail service is simply not okay. Removal should never be so aggressive that a client is screaming in pain. He also wasn't able to do the design I requested. The manager/owner took my phone with the inspo photo and asked around until another nail tech, Taliyah (apologies if I misspelled her name), was able to take over. I was told it would be "a few minutes," and I had absolutely NO problem waiting for her. Since I was a walk-in, I completely understood that I might need to wait and would have much rather waited for someone who was comfortable doing the design correctly from the beginning. What I don't understand is why the original nail tech guy continued attempting the designs in the meantime when it had already been established that he couldn't do what I was asking for. I get if it was a way for him to pass time. But the stripes were crooked, and he attempted a glitter lemon that looked nothing like the lemon in my reference photo. I came in with a clear reference photo, so I was confused as to why something completely different was being attempted rather than simply waiting for Taliyah. By the time Taliyah took over, I basically had her redo EVERYTHING! Not just the 3D lemon designs on my ring fingers, but the previous work as well. I shouldn't have needed a second nail tech to redo almost an entire service in order to leave with something close to what I originally requested. Thankfully, Taliyah did a much better job and saved the set. I appreciate her taking the time to fix everything and make sure I was satisfied with the final result. She deserves full credit for how my nails ultimately turned out. I also specifically stated that my tip was for Taliyah, so if the owner/manager is reading this, please make sure that the tip goes directly to HER! She is the one who ultimately redid the work and is the reason I left with nails I was satisfied with. I understand that not every nail tech specializes in every type of nail art, and I have no issue with someone being honest about what they can and cannot do. What I do have an issue with is continuing to attempt a design after it was already determined that another tech needed to take over, especially when that work then had to be redone. I did not mind waiting for Taliyah. I would have preferred to wait rather than have work done that would ultimately need to be corrected. Unfortunately, despite Taliyah doing her best to turn the appointment around, the overall experience, especially the PAINFUL removal and having most of the work REDONE, was disappointing enough that I would not return to this salon.
