I bought a gold chain from this jeweler, and within six months it broke on me more than five times. Every time, I brought it back to the same place that sold it to me. At first they repaired it, but then they started charging me and blaming me for the chain breaking--even when it snapped in the same or similar spots. When I asked about swapping it for a different chain, the owner offered to buy it back for less than half of what I paid, using the repairs they did as the excuse. Not only did they refuse to continue repairing it, they tried to convince me it was my fault and expected me to pay for every fix. They didn't offer a replacement, a fair solution, or even take accountability for selling a faulty chain. The last time I went in, the chain had just broken again and only needed a simple solder. I was quoted over $40. I walked out disappointed. I really thought this was an honest, trustworthy place, but instead I felt misled and taken advantage of. Since then, I found a new jeweler, inside a furniture store in Getty Square, of all places and they repaired my chain once. It's been at least six months and it hasn't broken again. The whole situation still bothers me enough that I finally decided to write this review. My experience was genuinely terrible, and I don't want anyone else going through the same thing.

Finally got a callback from someone who thought he had just talked to me and cleared everything up. No! I called back a few more times and left messages with no response, then got fed up and went back to the store. It turned out the battery had been replaced THE VERY NEXT DAY, though no one had called to tell me. The women in the shop were puzzled -- apparently no one ever answers the office phone. (It might have been the owner's personal cellphone, which is ridiculous to use as a business phone.) The work was fine but I cannot recommend a place with such lackadaisical customer service.

Everything came back perfect. All adjustments were done to specification, and they were smart enough to adjust the length of my bracelet from both sides instead of just from one like I had asked, which keeps the pendant more centered. I also noticed my gold plated chain came back even more shiny and gold so I don't know if it was re-plated or just polished and cleaned but I love it. Great job! And I believe I spent only about a $100 for all three things which was extremely worth it. Turnaround was about a week and they had a good process to set up the pickup to ensure no one can just take your jewelry.

I paid $115 for 14k gold, but after a few days, the gold started to come off on the new pieces. While I had been assured that I would be provided 14k gold, they clearly gave me gold plated jewelry. I went back to ask them to fix it with 14k instead of gold plated (because that's what I had paid for) and they say they would, but I don't feel like I can trust them so who knows what they did to my jewelry! Also, the necklace was too short and instead of them fixing it by adding chain, they provided me with a gold plated extender and told me to deal with it. When I picked up the bracelet for the second time, it broke within 5 minutes of me putting it on. Luis, Ernesto work here and I do not recommend either of them!! They are not honest.

My penguin necklace had gotten its "charm" back. My dolphin ring looks more beautiful than I ever thought it would and I love the replacement stones on my bracelet. These pieces mean more to me than I could say and I couldn't possibly be happier. There's a lot of sentimental value with these pieces, and they are irreplaceable. I am grateful to Ernesto's for their help with maintenance. I didn't know what to expect, but I was speechless when I saw how beautiful my pieces were when I came to pick them up. I also had a great conversation with the employees at the store. I am more than satisfied with my experience.

I would absolutely not recommend this place. I came to this store today, June 23, 2026, at around 3…read morep.m. because I needed jewelry repair. When we arrived at the store, the initial experience was normal and professional with the First Lady that greeted us.(Unfortunately, I can't remember her name; she was professional.) I needed my 1ct platinum engagement ring, 1ct platinum wedding band, and a gold bracelet repaired. We received a cost estimate for repair, and we agreed on the repairs. We got a receipt with the jewelry breakdown, and I noticed that the engagement ring had no GIA serial number listed; my diamond is GIA certified . So I asked for the GIA serial number to be listed on the receipt for security on both my end and the store's end. Michelle proceeded to involve herself when I asked the store associate to please include the diamond GIA inscription number. Michelle asked me why I needed that included and got offended that I even asked and proceeded to tell me that they are a reputable company for over 20 years. I told her I just need it so when I pick up my ring, I'm certain it's the same one I dropped off. (This should be standard in all jewelry stores.) She then grabbed my ring and dropped it and became very aggravated with me. She claimed she couldn't even see the inscription because it was small. Her brother, Chris, told her what loop magnification to use, and she told me to look at it myself, and they would write it. Michelle, I can't believe you have been in business for 20 years and you don't know how to use a basic loop. Shame. I was made to feel like my 1ct was insignificant and small to see the inscription. After that bad experience paired with Michelle's attitude , I requested to cancel the repair. Michelle asked me why I felt like I needed to cancel only because of the inscription. I said it was for my comfort, and I no longer felt comfortable. I received all my jewelry back and left the store. I feel like it's important to post about my experience in this establishment because I still don't understand what I did wrong to be treated differently. Microscopic verification is a must. I should not have to request this!!! Michelle needs to look deep within herself and ask herself why she felt the need to treat a customer the way she treated me today. My 1ct might be insignificant to you, but to me, it means the world. do better.
