I ordered 2 lunch specials, 1 shrimp with lobster sauce and 1 chicken with broccoli. I also got an appetizer of fried wantons - great dough to meat ratio but not crispy at all but pre. Shrimp with lobster sauce was bland, fried rice was okay. Chicken with broccoli and brown rice were just okay. Egg roll was overdone. Prices were very reasonable. read more

Ordered a f**** ton of food for our small, three person, Thanksgiving this year. All of our go to Chinese places were closed, so we decided to go a little further for Golden Star. Not only was our food ready super fast, but the ordering was very easy and the meals was delicious. We're big dumpling and wonton fans and they tasted more fresh than other places? The dumpling skins were also not the super thick, cheap kind. I asked for SEVERAL modifications over the phone and everything was right. I've ordered one or two small things over their online ordering system in the past. Also a great and easy way to order! I ordered from this place for many years but NEVER AGAIN. I ordered online and gave the suggested 10 percent tip. Paid with PayPal. This is literally 8 minutes away. The delivery guy started pounding at my door and ringing my bell like crazy. I opened the door and said Thank you. He was angry and said "is that all the tip you are giving me, you have to give me more. I came very very far." I was tired and just added another 10percent. He then said I had to give him cash because I did not pay for my food. This turned into a a yelling match. He would not give me my food. I walked out, yanked the bag from him and slammed my door shut. He was trying to steal cash from me!!! This was already PAID! I called two days in a row to speak with a manager and guess what, no manager there. Beware of this place, they are thieves. UPDATE: Today I was getting prank/harassment phone calls. One after the other from a Chinese person all from different numbers. I even called on of the numbers back and the person said that he found my number online and I must get a lot of calls. I knew it was them!!! I had to call the police and get the police involved to stop the harassment. The police are now involved. They admitted doing it!!!!! Never again. I ordered several items for take out. When I got home, I discovered that with the exception of the rice, everything was swimming in oil. It was as if they didn't bother to drain the oil and just poured everything straight from the wok into the takeout containers. I will not be returning to this place. read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST! I ordered Pork Egg Fu Young, Vegetable Egg Fu Young and Pork Fried Rice. When I got home, I found BOTH Egg Fu Young orders sitting in a pool of oil. It was obvious that they did not drain the food before putting it into the containers. The fried rice, in my opinion, was probably left over from the day before. This place by far is the best Chinese I've ever had, it's even better than the Chinese food you get in the city. Wonton Soup is a must followed by chicken and broccoli or pork fried Lo Mein. The wontons are plump and tasty and the broth is perfect. I also recommend getting the pan fried dumplings, I tried to post a picture of my meal tonight but I was to busy eating. For normal Chinese food in this area, this place was great. It's not the best I've ever had, but all of the food was good and exactly what we expected. Delivery took 50 minutes - they said it would take 45 - so no complaints especially because the roads are snow covered. Food arrived late the top of wonton soup container was smashed and cracked all the soup was at bottom of bag ...egg rolls ruined containers of food soggy mess had to transfer salvable food to my dishes ,soup all over counter... so much for quick easy meal I called to complain as soon as I said food arrived in poor condition they left me on hold I called again he kept asking me what's your phone # and address .. He automatically knew that when I called for order then he says ok I'll send you soup I said I didn't want soup just wanted him to know how unhappy I was he says ....ok bye ....
