Hamad is by far the most professional and friendly smog check business around. I have been to numerous locations over the years and the folks working at these shops are rude, ignore me because I'm a woman or completely lie about their pricing. They advertise they are open until 5pm. I walked up at 4:25pm. He told me he is not taking anymore appointments for the day. I asked if they were open until 5pm. He told me yes but he is already smogging a car. I asked him what his name was, he said "Ahmad" and then proceeded to verbally abusing me, asking me what my problem is. I said, "why are you being so aggressive?" His response is he's trying to do his job and I'm bothering him. This "manager" is INCREDIBLY RUDE! FINALLY an honest smog test shop! I was due for a smog check on both our 2014 cars. So I checked reviews, asked friends and looked for coupons, then had a list of possible smog test shops. I started calling the shops and one by one all the other shops found some kind of way to increase the price of the smog check based on the fine print of the coupon. :( I am VERY happy to say that was NOT the case with Golden Star Smog. Very nice gentleman running the shop who was kinds. I don't know much about cars or smogs, my dad just told to get a smog, but the gentleman was patient while explaining it all to me. They seem too busy forever to do 10 minutes smog check. I went there twice in one hour because it is close to my home. First time I went there, I was asked to come back in half hour. After I came back again, the guy was sleeping in his chair and one more space is open but asked me to wait one more hour because they have another car in service. My car only need 10 minutes test only. So I have to go to another nearby station to do the test, only let me wait for 5 minutes, poor working attitude. read more

While on travels for work I came across this station and I was lucky to be able to come in at a non busy time and got seen relatively quick for being a walk in customer.
