This smog station is very easy to get into and out of and usually isn't very busy. The service is fast and the tech is knowledgable and gives good advice if there is an issue with the car not passing smog. They no longer take coupons but will honor the last paid price if you show your receipt from the previous smog. Their waiting area is heated and they take all types of card payments. I got my car smog and I'm very please with the service here. The place is around the other side of the gas station and a pretty good area to pull my suv in. I like that it's very organized and neat and clean. Mr Ali is friendly and extremely polite. He explains clearly and details about before he start to do the smog check and even there was a seating area with nice music in the waiting area. It's my first time coming here and I was referred by a family member and I'm glad to listen because I'm very happy. This is located within an Arco gas station. No appointments - you can walk in. Got there early on a Saturday morning before they opened to make sure I was first. They open at 9am and can't start earlier than that because they can't access the system til 9am. So don't get there early before they officially open and expect to get an early start. There was no one before or after us - so we were able to get done in 15-20 minutes. He honored the coupon on their website which expired in 2 days. It was the best price I could find at $41.75 plus $8.25 for the certificate for a total of $50. (This price is for passengers cars from 2000 or newer only.) The price is higher for larger vehicles. If you have a coupon, note the fine print and the expiration date. The only reason I deducted one star is because his credit card machine wasn't working and he told me it was cash only. So fortunately between my husband and I, we had enough cash since I normally do not carry much cash for safety reasons. Warning, you might want to call and make sure their credit card machine is working otherwise you'll have to scramble to the nearest ATM to get cash. There are two old chairs in the corner for you to sit and wait and there is a little heater. Note also no free test if your car fails the smog check. Thank goodness my old car passed. I would recommend this place. The guy is friendly and gets the job done. He also cut off a little hose that was cracked just to clean it up and showed it to us which was nice of him. read more

Highly recommended! I did a smog test for my 2013 Toyota Prius here today and was delighted by the experience. Best rates I've found in the area and fantastic customer service. The technician was efficient, kind, and professional. I also can't believe how quick the turnaround time was: I showed up as a walk-in, and the entire thing only took about 15 minutes. A nice seating area with a heater was provided while I waited. I had Ali today as my technician, absolutely rude!!! My vehicle is Honda crosstour - he claimed it's a truck & wanted to charge me more (he said the CA system identifies it as a truck). That's fine with me -- but the way he was acting...so defensive and mad, saying I questioned the system & I didn't know etc, it was a mess. Extremely argumentative man with a mean countenance. When I asked him if I would pay same price for my small sedan that I paid him a few months ago on my 8 cylinder truck, he said that was impossible and pretty much called me a liar. So I showed him on bank statement from my phone with the price and his company name, yet he kept on just being downright mean! He said he had never seen me before in his life, that it must've been one of his other employees when he was on vacation, that my 8-cylinder is an SUV not a truck and it was 4 months ago, not a few months. I needed a smog test and found this place through a pack of coupons sent to my house. I called and there was no wait so I headed over. My car was taken in right away and the test was done in 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I failed smog due to a damaged air intake hose. Fortunately, Ali showed me what was wrong and how to fix it myself. I bought the part, replaced it, and came back a couple of days later and passed. Super friendly service and very fairly priced. Will recommend this place to everyone I know. read more
